you can even use it without the battery.. i mean you run a cable to its charge port connect it to a powerbank and it will work.. found out when we had a long power outage and i had to use its 18350 battery on another flashlight.. 😊😊
G'day Mark, very versatile for sure and yep great to see IP68 and a proper drop resistance on a head lamp. Yeah I have found the odd strap too short, especially as you mentioned for over a hat; a glaring oversight IMO. I hope the motion sensor can see in the dark, you know, ....... when you need light ; ) 18650 for me, I'll carry the extra weight to get longer run times, but always great to have options. Btw; not sure if you've mentioned before, the battery type inherently provides the dimensions i.e. for an 18650 the first two digits = the diameter 18 mm, the next two = the length 65 mm. Works the same way for coin batteries too, though the length, (thickness), assumes a decimal point. I'm totally with ya on a magnetic base, very useful. I'm seriously think'n of attaching a magnet to those I have without one. I'll try industrial strength double sided tape to start with and if that doesn't prove sufficient I'll get the supa-glue out, or actually now I think of it, I reckon heat shrink tubing would do the business. Cheers Duke.
Looks like a great package. It does appear that there is enough real estate that a red beam could have been added it. Perhaps they did not want to complicate the UI or did not want to add cost. The more I use a red beam, the more I like having the option. I ordered my Wuben X2 Pro with the RGB option. As much as I light UV, I thought I would find the red more useful on that light.
Right on. I agree with the importance of a red light on a head lamp or any camping lamp. Maybe a bit less so on a EDC light but still worthwhile having. Thanks for commenting
I had not noticed it before but, yes, it does misalign by about 1mm. Enough to make it a bit of a challenge to get into the headlamp mount. I had thought it was the additional tube length but it is the slight miss-match. Thanks for commenting
I have owned both the yellow and blue light versions of the e7 for a while, i think i have had the blue light version for over a year. I would highly recommend the yellow light version over the blue light version as it does not reflect off the dust in the air and effect your sight. Other than that, they are both awesome and very powerful. I strongly recomend getting the extension for the 18650 battery. Great review as always. Thanks.
It’s amazing how many versions they can dream up of something as simple as a flashlight.
So true Jim. Justifies the engineers jobs😅. Thanks for commenting

Yes, another good feature. Thanks for commenting
Looks like a versatile little light
It is amazing how much they can stuff in a light. Thanks for commenting Wade

Hi Duke. I had not read about the relation with the battery numbers although I kind of figured it out. Thanks for commenting

Wuben posting a lot of videos lately, Mark….😉 I like the battery extension.
Yes, they have been pushing hard. Thanks for commenting
Great work as usual Mark. Does the extension tube line up with the beveling of the main body? I heard early versions were misaligned. Thx!
