Hi there, Today I ended up buying your new headlamp (HC65 UHE), as it has a greater spread of light. At least I hope so! But I wanted to leave some important notes for your next headlamp! That you make a headlamp that has a bigger battery (example; 21700), that also has a 365/395nm ultraviolet LED, and that has better heat dissipation (lots of large fins). I have your HC65(v1) and the flashlight in high light mode, it doesn't last long, going to low light mode. Something that is not good, as I work in construction. I hope this information reaches the responsible engineers. Thanks Now just hope for the best! 😂
nice to see the 8lm high cri and red. I initially didn't see anything lower than 100 lumen. would be nice if it had a magnetic tail cap. it was nice using that feature on my hc33 at times
Does this have a long throw beam as well as a wide flood? I find that when throw distances are provided for flood lights the numbers (in meters) are misleading because the glare of the floor makes it hard to see a spot ahead of you. If it has a spot it would be good for rescue missions- spot for lighting the trail far ahead and flood for lighting a scene while you prepare someone to be placed in a litter prior to evacuation
Check out Nitecores HC68, it has a focused beam and a flood beam. You can also "blend" the two for best of both features. Just picked up the HC68 because I wanted a focused beam capability.
do i have to charge the Nitecore Carbon Battery 6K Kit Headlamp Runtime Extender for NU40, NU43, NU45, NU50, and HC65 UHE Headlamps or can i plug the whole shebang into usb c
When I put my HC65 UHE to charge and try to use it after removing the charger, it doesn't turn on. I can only get it to turn on if I open the battery cover and close it again. This happens from the first use. Can you tell me if there is any command to be given after charging the battery so that the flashlight can be turned on or did my unit arrive defective?
The bracket it already comes on has slits in the plastic so it can probably fit onto a vest as-is, but we haven't tested that, and sadly we wouldn't have an adapter
what color temperature does the hcri led have? edit: nvm, just found it, its 4500k Also, the pricing on these new nitecore lights is very... surprising... the edc33 was already shockingly cheap, this one is similar. Its not really being talked about but i like it
I am seriously considering buying this. One thing I want to know is about the battery. It is removable, right? I would have liked to see this in the review. I always look to buy flashlights without the fixed, internal battery.
I would say this is much better in terms of overall specs! I would say it's worth it if you use it every night, but I would use your best judgment for how much use it would be as it is a more expensive headlamp!
@@NitecoreStoreThanks. I just bought it. You can always use an extra headlamp. Lol. Even tho the hc68 is a max 2000 lumen as well but the 65 uhe's efficiency run times at 2000 and 1300 lumens is what made me buy it. That and i'm a flashaholic 😜
@@Harry-vw9kri like them both. The main reason i bought the 65uhe was for the battery life. The 68 does 950 lumens for 2h30 min while the 65uhe does 1300 for 5 hrs. So its a big difference in efficiency. To be honest tho i just carried a couple extra charged batteries for my 68 and i never really needed them unless it was a multi day trip. I mainly bought the 65uhe just to hv it. I like headlamps and flash lights. Lol.
@@JMonkey25ok so can you tell us how the runtime looks like? :) what is the time wheb the light output drops down? :) My opinion is you should be able to a similar light output from both of your headlights :)
I'll be honest, I like the older style bracket, like the one on my HC60... That new bracket doesn't look very good. The light could fall out if dropped, the clicky thing in the back for the angle adjustment is going to wear out with repeated use. Not a huge fan. Almost got one until I watched the video. Nitecore needs to make a version with the old style bracket. The 2000 lumens is real nice, and definitely an upgrade to my HC60, but not with that new bracket...
Ya I just had an older nitecore NU10 headlamp with both click tabs on the bracket broken off after it was sitting unused for a long time. Nitecore was of no help - said they're not available now. So yes that type of design needs a change so it can't fail (maybe metal) or is replaceable somehow; many options for that. Also needs a simple pad against the forehead. But the common rubber mount is really bad IMO, not sure how people tolerate those: they bounce and are impossible to adjust easily or quickly.
The UI seems ridiculous - double clicking for moonlight mode? Come on, does any other light even have that? (Seriously asking) Crazy that 20 years into LED flashlights, companies are still doing the random click to whatever interfaces. Seems like their design engineers are given just one requirement: here are one or two buttons, design an interface that lets you get to every mode. That's it. So unless you own only one light, they become highly annoying to use since they all work differently. At least within each brand they should be completely consistent where possible, but they can't even do that!
While I wouldn’t call the UI ridiculous, the criticism is valid. I too find myself fumbling through a UI if I haven’t used a high end light in a while. Maybe some repeatability in a particular model line might help.
A sima hc65 a legjobb.4 éve használom napi szinten. Két hianyossága van szerintem. A zöld led hiánya és a type-c csatlakozó. A két újabb nagyon csúnya.

How would this work as a bicycle light? I would love a handlebar clip for this.

Design and feature wise, this headlamp is similiar with NU50 and NU40. I wonder why this headlamp is put into HC line up.
Hi
We want to see work time schedules
How does the brightness level drop depending on the operating time?
Badly. Its in the instructions manual on their website.
I went with HC70 UHE much flatter levels 1000 lumens is mostly 500 lumens for 8 hours.

No, sadly this only has the flood beam shape!

TUP and Thumb are my fav Nitecores, even if i own a few more. Id love to see a new version of Thumb!
I really hope you get more new headlamps this year than last year
Can you put the lamp up side down to the bracket? So the type c port is on the right side?
Well done review! Guess I will need to order one of these as well. Haha. I already have four Nitecore headlamps!

hold mode and power to deactivate the locking feature?
Is there a clip that fits the lamp?
The one included! but would you mind elaborating on what you mean by clip?
@@NitecoreStore I mean a clip for the pocket or the backpack. A clip like the one attached to the MH12Pro, for example
Does it have a Molly adaptable holder so it would work on a tactical vest or do they sell an accessory that would do the same

Solid lights from Nitecore. Thanks
Glad you like it!
How much is it?
$89.95 at Nitecorestore.com !
Wowowowowowowowowo thats more then double what i was expecting... No thanks
@@gonzalez7805 It's a quality unit. Well worth the price. I have 10 different Nitecore lights.
Is the body of this headlamp made of metal or plastic?
Metal!
Thank you for review. What is the beam temperature? Not any green tint?
No green tint, and it's at around 6000K for the white light, and around 4500K for the High CRI! And you are very welcome!

Yeah I have noticed that too, because of the in house LEDs a lot of the products have become more affordable!

Yes, the battery is a removable 18650! 3:50
Is there an adapter for the bill of a hat?
Not yet but that would be cool!
Let me know when you have it made
Can you confirm if the battery is removable?
Yes, it is removable
does it have the top strap?
Yes! It is included with your purchase!
Will there be a 21700 version of this? That will be the ultimate headlamp if you ask me!
Not sure yet, but that honestly sounds like a really cool concept!
The tradeoff is a 21700 one is going to be heavier and bigger.
@@Let_there_be_flashlight I'm sure they can find a way to find a good balance considering the weight 🙂
21700 batteries in headlamps is not good idea
Will I be able to operate from a power bank?
Yes.

21700
I have the hc68 and i love it. How would you compare it to it and do you think its worth buying the 65uhe if i already hv the 68.

Additional white light 8 lumens 82 hours, red 5 lumens 66 hours... ?? Less time at 5 lumens because it is red ???
yes White light is more effiency (190lm/W) . Red have lower effiency and its only one color
