    These three minute history videos are gradually all becoming four minutes....but still very well summarized.

    Three years of war in four minutes without missing a beat. Well done.

      Not really. Russia had a huge part in the Korean war. They actually were pilots in a lot of dogfights. It was the MIG VS the Sabre. As for the landing in the far South after it looked like the South was finished the US SECRETLY did a Normandy like assault on the beach and helped South Korea secure it's independence. Where you heard that a city was shelled before the landing, Your thinking of WW2 Japanese islands I guess. South Korea was a night assault.

      +vin russo And you know who was the commander of these Soviet pilots? None other but the most successful allied pilot of WW2! Иван Кожедуб.

    4:18- I remembered one back in Rangoon, where my parents told about hearing about bomb exploding during a visit from South Korean president. Also they hear about manhunts for the perpetrators too.

    Nice little mention about the tunnels. The north dug more than a dozen of those and smeared the walls with coal dust to disguise them as mining tunnels. As of now there are still a few yet undiscovered tunnels under the dmz

      wanting jabzy to this for a long time but I think he should do 2 saperate video on it because it was 2 different front and after Bangladesh won the Bangladeshi war on independence. Indian senced weakness in Pakistani military command and wanted to gain as much territory as they can so its really 2 saperate war. Anyways would love Jabzy to this in two 3 miniute segment :D

    +Jabzy Glad you mentioned the Imjin river, that battle had a significant importance to it since it halted the Chinese spring offensive attack on Seuole. Not to mention one of the most epic battles Britain has ever fought in the 20th century. 800 British troops held off a division of 30,000 chinese for 4 days, the British casualties were so lopsided it was unbelievable, there were 59 killed and 160 wounded compared to the chinese that lost over 15,000 men!

    Get your facts straight, Stalin opposed Kim Il Sung's plans to attack South Korea. After losing 27 million people in WW2 the last thing the Soviets needed was a nuclear war over a tiny ricky Third World peninsula.
    In addition, South Korea's dictator Syngman Rhee was just as keen to conquer North Korea and had repeatedly asked for US support. The North Koreans just attacked first.

    • @swee2251
      @swee2251 6 лет назад +1

      Stalin wanted to avoid a war with the US. He didn't expect the US to help South Korea. When the US helped South Korea, Stalin secretly sent his pilots to fight in the Korean War. He didn't want the US to know about it.

    Why don’t you extend it to 5 minutes then you could talk a little slower and afford yourself a breath. I don’t think anyone would complain and it would be easier to take in.

    3:10 Use nukes . . . Does a psyhology test before entering army exists in USA ?

      Back then, no one really knew the repercussions of using nuclear bombs. They just thought of them as big bombs to be dropped on military targets. The nuclear test at Castle Bravo didn't happen yet and people didn't know the true destruction of nuclear weapons. MacArthur was a genius and he won America a victory in the Pacific theatre of WW2 with the Island hopping and all. He just failed to adapt to new technology, the same way I do every time a new iPhone comes out, except millions of lives hung in the balance.
