You can’t know how glad I am that your pump did not start right away so I could see the need to give it a kickstart! I never would’ve known that was necessary! You just help me fix my little fountain on my back deck today ❤thank you thank you thank you

OMG, I can't thank you enough for your tutorial! I'd recently purchased a replacement pump for a 3-tiered water fountain. I loved it so much that I bought a second pump for another water fountain. Both pumps worked perfectly at first, but stopped again. After I'd cleaned them out, they would work, but for a much shorter length of time. When I'd leave them out of the fountains for a couple of days, they'd start right up when I would plug them in. I found your tutorial and had a lightbulb moment when you removed the impeller. I couldn't believe the amount of cat hair that was wrapped around the spindle of both impellers. I immediately realized that when I'd let them rest, the cat hair had dried out allowing impellers to turn and that the cats like to drink running water!

Thank you Krista! The “jump start” was the main ingredient to get my pump running again. Thanks!!!! Rod

Oh no, don't scratch that magnet because it will create uneven spin and wear out quicker. Dissolve the calcium deposit in vinegar solution for about 10-15 minutes is good.

Thank you! I used water and white vinegar. Let it soak for about 5 minutes. wiped it down. Finally, got it to kick into high gear!

This is a great video. I have the same issue with horrible calcium deposits in my water. I didn't know I could scrape the magnet with the dull side of a knife. I'm going to do that right now. Also, didn't know I could jumpstart it the way you did. Thank you! 🙏

haha, who needs tools when you have a butter knife....why even put it together when it obviously still isn't working correctly? Decalcify the magnet.

All that dang scraping with knife, proved nothing. The pump was not in need of repair. Cause you said or nothing to the diaphragm.
