This version of neyyappam looks tasty. But my grandmother used to make neyyappam using only rice powder, karippatti and palenkkodan pazham. She is no more. Hence not able to get that recipe. That was too tasty and can keep outside for more than 10 days without any spoil. I think that was the traditional neyyappam. She was from muttuchira, kottayam. Will it be possible for you to try that version.
@@MahimasCookingClass forgot to add one thing. She used to mix the rice powder and kappatti without water, make it into small balls and keep it for 2 days. On the 2nd day mix those balls in thengapal (onnampal) and pazham, dilute the batter before frying. This is what I remember abt it. Don't remember the entire process.

I think this is the exact procedure. The other one is unniappom ingredients, and shape dif only. This wl keep as u said. Once i tried an unniappom which was made in real ghee and instead of rice rava they used.fm an exhbtn in ekm. It was fm shornur. The tastiest one i ever ate. Tho i tried to make it didn't came well.they r selling also kannimanga pckle etc. But didn't get, tho no.in the packet .

You should not make kappi on the previous day. Make just an hour before making neyyappam
