- This week we fly down to the SOUTH of Thailand, where we take a ferry to the island of Koh Samui. We heard that Koh Samui isn't affected by the rainy season in Thailand and we wanted to see if that's really the case. We're staying in Chaweng which is the most tourist spot of Koh Samui and we wanted to see if it's worth living there. We check out Chaweng Beach and Central Samui.

I went in October it was 30-35C every day and super humid. Blue skies. Go in dry season if you can

Samui is the most expensive destination in Thailand…the supermarket in Central Festival virtually charges what they want as there is no competition.

The name Koh Samui is similar to the Japanese word samui, the Japanese word for cold winter, but the weather on Samui is actually the opposite. It's hot all year...

Should I go to koh samui or koh chang in May?
Well it depends what you're looking for. Koh Samui definitely has a real relaxing beach vibes but it is quite touristy so there's loads of things to do. While Koh Chang I've heard has a much more laid back remote island vibe to it where there isn't as much things to do as koh samui but much less tourists. Hope that helps you out ✌️
what mounth u were there ?:) did u check weather before? i wanna go now in may but forecast always says rain so i dunno what to expect :D
I wanted to go to end of the May too but because of the forecast I think to change plan for June :/

We we're there in June and had a fantastic weather with the odd evening shower!
