Where you started and it is the protecting bank "island" (Ko Na Thian) it is actually very bad beach/water - never pick a hotel in there if you go for that specific reason. The water is not clean.Go to the right (2-3 kms distance) ...sea is much better for swimming and much clearer/ clean without any sea weed .

I was there 20 years ago and stayed in a small bungalow on stilts. Payed 600 baht per night. I guess that is all gone now.
