I can’t believe I have to clarify this, but….this is clearly a joke. It is not supposed to be realistic. It was made in about 10 minutes and I didn’t think that more than 100 people would ever watch it.
Very good, almost convicning. I thought the piano sounded a bit off but i had to check the description to be sure. Very nice. I was tipped off by how many mistakes he made, and why he kept the recording. For those who ddin't read the description and may or may not start rumours that Zimmerman can't play shit - this is a dubbing of sorts, as stated in the description it's the poster's playing putnofer a video of azimmerman

@@NoahJohnson1810 I wasnt sure if everyone got that, I think some people actually think that its zimerman and they dont get the joke. But I might be wrong though.
1:21 what is funny is that the end sounds like the ending run of Barcarolle at first, but is in fact the Mephisto waltz No. 1 coda run. He is so mad he goes to another piece! Lol
La mejor actitud no inmutarse😂😂😂 como decía un amigo pianista compañero del Conservatorio antes ya de un examen de piano muy difícil:"lo que me salió me salió 😂😂😂😂!!
If the audio we are hearing is from the piano Kristian is playing, then it's the worst sounding Steinway I've ever heard! This is obviously someone else's playing dubbed on to the video.
As flawed as this performance is, it shows enormous promise, which can be heard in the details. If Mr. Zimerman can play like this, reasonably consistently, it's not a total waste, even if the playing is only suitable for the recording studio, not the concert hall. On recording, it can be salvaged by skillful editing to get rid of these glitches. You might then have a pretty first class recording.
@@user-we4pt8px5h you mean they improved some parts to make it seem more professional? If they could do that, why they don’t improve the whole thing? I think in the good parts it’s really him.
I admire how she continues, not giving up. Moreover, there are not just “moments” but real stretches in the fugue that are quite nice. I think she never really learned the prelude (the fugue she “basically” learned but not very thoroughly), and did her best to cram-memorize it for this event, probably in a few hours. She courageously did her best knowing she wasn’t prepared. There are a lot of signs of talent here, but the best sign that she can go far is her pluck. That’s a huge skill needed by every musician (and maybe every performer, period): to go on with the performance although it’s a disaster. The ability to do that not only help you get through, keeping your poise, the disasters; it helps you keep the poise in all the performances, knowing the pressure is on and eyes are watching you. This moment in her musical development, though painful, is actually a great one for her in her growth. Moreover, in that sense it actually IS a quite fine performance.

Meu amigo, quem toca piano sabe que para chegar nesse nível tem que ter errado muito, muito antes. Quer perfeição? Põe o computador para tocar. Só que vai ficar sem interpretação. A variabilidade humana é que faz a diferença.

the moment you realize his bad playing is still better than your own
Yep, just like when NBA fans yell at players from the stands to do a different move. :D
Lol it's dubbed over
Its not Zimermans playing xD
gosh I though this was real for a second...
1:20 the best transition ever
I made this in like 10 minutes, I think the horrid production just adds to it
Lmao I'm dying
Love to hear him playing “Mistakes “ , that’s how good he’s is !!
It's fake, or you were being sarcastic?
this horrendous concert flop was 27 years ago. I heard he was so embarrassed, he never recorded a Chopin solo piano piece again
Yeah! After that he just played "chromatic" jazz pieces.
This is a dubbed video. "I heard he was so embarrassed"...no you didn't 😂

That was awesome! :) Nice job, got a good laugh out of me. I love Zimerman too, especially his Schubert Op 90 #3.

I was expecting the chandelier to fall and land on the piano….
Probably half the audience didn't notice anything
Exactly
There isn't an audience. If Zimmerman had made these mistakes, they would have made retakes. And the piano wouldn't sound shit. Lol
I thought it was real for a moment, but I couldn't believe it
Haha, loved the slow mo shots of his inspired face in between
Oh my goodness the ending, LOL!! Reminds me of a recital where I just imploded at the ending run of Chopin Scherzo 3, haha.
Beautifully done! The glissando at the end killed me.😂
LOL!!! This is so funny! it synchronizes so well
1:26 What a glissando
Mathis Abbing yeah it almost looked like he played an arpeggio
Lol. You can see his hands in the reflection doing an arpeggio
His fingers are the strength equivalent of 5 grown men in that last note
We all envy Zimerman's ridiculously perfect technique, so this was hilarious 0:45 Hahaha

Why all the dislikes? Nobody has a sense of humor. Part of the reason why people don't like classical music. The culture is bad.

The piano Is terrific
He studied with the great Les Dawson.
I don't care that this is dubbed, this is hilarious
This isnt edited btw. I think OP got his hands on a deleted take
I like how Zimmerman skips a whole chunk of music because he messes up...as if he ever does.
Hilarious - there is another Zimerman shreds where he breaks into the super Mario brothers theme. So funny

Chopin - Barcarolle in f sharp, Op. 60
