@@DevilRaptorB You have to realize, unless these independent or smaller movies are financed (produced) by established actors or producers. From large revenue generated by the success of their big studio films, the budgets are usually fairly miniscule. So the smaller movies, at least, do somewhat more, then break even after being released theatrically, going On Demand, Cable rights, streaming. So that still justifies the the existence of the art house movie. Also not all smaller, independent films look as intolerable as this. Like The stuff A24 was making a few years back for instance or even most of Blumhouse stuff.
