Nissan/Infiniti is the only Japanese brand I buy. Had many of them. This is my next purchase. Always wanted the 45. They sound amazing.

@@Mrwinecontreras I’m in Vancouver and just bought mine in December. 2006 fx45 1 owner, basically mint. Looked at a bunch and this was by far the cleanest one I came across.

The FX45 is a wonderful performance SUV. The 4.5L V8 sometimes has manifold issues and which requires replacement so make sure to have it inspected by an Infiniti store or a mechanic who is very familiar with them. They are very well built and dont have too many issues. The FX35 which is the same vehicle but with a V6 is also a great choice, they are much more easier to find than the FX45 because they sold a lot more of those versus the FX35. Make sure to look at a Carfax report and avoid vehicles that look like they were driven hard. Try to find one with past service history, a well serviced vehicle will generally last longer and have fewer issues than one that was neglected. A lot of times shops will report service to Carfax and it will have records on the Carfax report.

+Infiniti of Tacoma at Fife Thanks for the information!
Based on your experience which one could have less issues, FX45 or FX35?
Also, what do you think about the Porsche Cayenne (2005) as an alternative to these Infiniti models?
      Thanks in advance!

The FX35 should have less issues and be a little cheaper to service than the FX45, but the FX45 is still more reliable than most of its competition. The Porsche Cayenne is nice but will have more issues and cost more to service than the Infiniti. The first generation Cayenne is very heavy, it does not feel as light and nimble as the FX. The latter generation were built to be much lighter but they cost a lot more. The Porsche is a rich mans car, and a pre-owned one might seem like a good deal but when it breaks or you have to do a major service its going to cost you rich mans money. I loves Porsche's, some of my favorite cars, but like most high end German vehicles they can be costly to own when they are out of warranty or you need to do a big service.

Keep in mind these are just my opinions, others may say otherwise, but I have 20 years experience in the car business and see how many different cars hold up over time and have gotten to drive tens of thousands.

+Infiniti of Tacoma at Fife thanks a lot. I will consider the facts you shared. You are right, experience always comes first!
I think i am going to focus more on Fx35 and probably Fx45 since they are definitely on the top of my list for a SUV.
