    I always want my characters build to fit the theme of their persona. I thought about making her an Executioner slayer. Same idea as you sneak attacks and study target all seem like skills she'd have learned growing up underground. But I gotta say.. Something about her throwing axes around touches me in a soft spot ha ha great vid imma try this out!

      lol. yea I mean there is multiple times Wenduag is referenced as a savage, and dual wielding throwing axes seems pretty savage to me :)

    I loved your Valerie build in Kingmaker for being an excellent and lore friendly tank without going into monk dips.
    Thank you for that and I'm looking forward to seeing your WotR builds ! :D

    Do you plan on doing more companion or pc build guides?
    I really like how this build uses thrown weapons instead of the usual bows for ranged.

  • @KimoChaser

    Small note: Outflank not only doesn't give you as ranged the bonus of Outflank but also doesn't trigger AoO for your melee companions when you crit. Nice build otherwise thank you.

    • @MTNDx
      @MTNDx 3 года назад

      I'm not sure if your game is bugged, but I have it on Lann and it procs AoO all the time for my melee characters. When I hover his attacks it also shows the +4 bonus. Now idk if its because I made him an inquisitor and has solo tactics, but it definitely works for me.

    • @Parrow
      @Parrow 3 года назад

      @@MTNDx I believe this is because Lann likes to take snap shot which means he threatens out to 5 feet. Meaning he can flank and provide that bonus.

    • @MTNDx
      @MTNDx 3 года назад

      @@Parrow I don't have snap shot on Lann. The feats I took are as follows: deadly aim, boon companion, and cluster shots. I'm planning to take snapshot at level 9. I took outflank as solo tactics level 3 for sacred huntsmaster inquisitor. So unless its just my game that allows the AoO for melee when he crits, I think it should be working in this way.

    people are sleeping on throwing axes, wenduag throws so many of them per round that you really want to know where she keeps all those axes

  • @aciarduce
    @aciarduce 3 года назад

    Technically you could also use Darts for this build. And while the damage die is d4 instead of d6, I believe the humor would replace the damage.

  • @flynnegankim9428
    @flynnegankim9428 3 года назад

    Thank you for guide, I was trying wenduag throwing axe snap shot build at the time it seems not working(beta). I may try this time again. I’m not sure ever ready is working without snap shot.

  • @frasrol6028
    @frasrol6028 3 года назад +2

    Attacks of Opportunity are melee attacks so you probably won't get much value out of Ever Ready on a throwing axe build.

    • @RPGCommunityCollege
      @RPGCommunityCollege  3 года назад

      Attacks of oportunity work for ranged attacks too. There is even the snap shot feat line to support that playstyle specifically. They are easier to proc with melee weapons but if you can proc them with ranged attacks through things like outflank and opportunist you can make them with ranged weapons.

  • @tomsimpkins1211
    @tomsimpkins1211 3 года назад +8

    Quick question, why throwing weapons instead of sticking with her bow, or making her melee?

    • @RPGCommunityCollege
      @RPGCommunityCollege  3 года назад +3

      Sorry for the late response, but I use throwing weapons because you can make more attacks a round with them than a bow. You could go melee with her nothing wrong with that but its just nice to be ranged and not have to worry about building as much defense.

    Heya does mythic weapon finesse STILL add dex modifier to damage for throwing axes or did they patch that?

  • @tomd9819
    @tomd9819 3 года назад +3

    Hey man sorry if you address this but why did you go throwing axe over (e.g.) javelin or another ranged DW option?

    • @RPGCommunityCollege
      @RPGCommunityCollege  3 года назад +2

      Throwing axes are considered light weapons, which is important for dual wielding. The other throwing weapons are not considered light weapons. When you use non light weapons for dual wielding you get an even greater penalty to your attack rolls. Also there is a very nice set of throwing axes in act 3.

      @@RPGCommunityCollege Sweet, thanks man. It is very noticeable, just tried it out. Really appreciate the clear, to-the-point content btw. Feels like most build videos for WotR are a solid 40 minute ramble. Hope you do more!

    Weapon finesse doesn't work with throwing axes, does it? they are listed as light weapons but attack bonus does not appear to increase when WF is taken

    • @RPGCommunityCollege
      @RPGCommunityCollege  3 года назад +1

      I take WF so you can take mythic WF. Dex is the default stat the ranged attacks use so when you take WF nothing will happen.
