Got to borrow and carry an MP7 in Afghanistan a few times--it came under my coat to meetings at various ministries and offices where I was guarding a Norwegian team-mate. What a lovely piece of kit.
I used the MP7 in the German Army. The recoil is so low on this that we get 1cm sprays on 25m or even down force recoil on full auto. If you get hit it feels like getting a bee stich, so under adrenalin you dont even feel it. When fighting you should try getting a widespread because this gun only kills over time throught inner bleeding.
I heard the same about the P90 as well. With it you gotta try to spread the groups all over the torso to get them opponent through blood loss because the cartridge is very ineffective at cavitation.

The big issue with getting these is the German laws on exporting military firearms. We have a number of these in Canada too. It's a weird thing, the semi-auto version is legal here, but H&K wouldn't sell them. However, company that would lend guns to movie and TV productions managed to get a few from them. They were sold them under the agreement that if they no longer needed them or the company closed they would send them back to H&K. Naturally the company went belly up and sold them into the civilian market, breaking their contract with H&K (nothing they can do about it, can't sue a company that no longer exists). Because of this betrayal I don't H&K is likely to ever try selling any more into the Canadian market. Would be nice though, it's my favorite firearm and I would love to have one.
