Hua Hin has turned into little Pattaya in the last 20 years. You won't find "what Thailand is all about" there. By April the weather gets rather too hot for cruising long distances on a moped so start getting those tours in now.

Hi DJ Have a look at the Honda SH350i it's a great bike twist and go 75/80 mph max speed and 110/120 miles to the gallon a very comfertable bike to ride ...
Have a good holiday. Enjoy yourself.
I hate the ride between Hua Hin and Pattaya, having to get through the madness of Bangkok. Try not to take the Google maps route through the centre of Bangkok.
I love Hua Hin and have lived there for 7 years but its not for everyone, I,ll say hello if i see you around!
Happy New year i hope that you enjoy your journey in Thailand ,p.s when i go to Pattaya i love going to that karaoke bar right behind you
Hi Dazzer, greetings from a fellow Londoner residing in Thai for 23 years, please document the bike trip from Pattaya to Hua Hin, not sure how many bikers have made this trip but cant see any vlogs reflecting same. BTW as you're passing Cha Am take a gander along beach road, from North to South its a great view, apart from them digging up parts of it to lay more water pipes (its a thai thing) LOL. Happy Trails mate.
It's high season mate, it'll be busy for a few months, just wait until Songran in April. it's absoloutely wild.
Hi Darren, not sure if you have a Bluetooth Headset or not, but using a Headset with Google Maps for Directions may make a long Road Trip a bit less Stressful.
Great adventure's proper motorbike 🚲 looking forward to your travels govnor 🖤
Hi Darren,
You’ll enjoy Hua Hin ( pronounced Wa Hin). Take care on the roads.
See you soon Paul
Darren John been here a number of years since you started your channel. i still belive you should have gone to spain.
For when you pass through Bangkok. That one city has 60 Motorcycle Deaths per Day, 22,000 Deaths per Year. The highest Death rate of any City in the World.
Now you have a 700 cc Bike, please stay safe, maybe consider wearing Leathers, despite the Heat.
Great update DJ. Looking forward to the adventures to come x
Please stop the click bait..it's just silly and shows you don't think much of the videos content !
watch the video
@DarrenJohn I have done..silly clickbait nonsense 😒
@@Charleswynn-j3oget over it, it's not that deep
Hi Darren the problem with big bikes I found when living in Thailand I would not get on one without all the gear and obviously it becomes too hot so tried a royal Enfield which was a comfortable ride as it cruises comfortably at 60, which is fast enough and doesn't require full leathers.
I think a PCX 160 is big enough to get to Hua Hin.
Yeah, arguing with commenters and long term subscribers. Seen it all before with likeable youtubers. You will fail in whatever it is you are trying to achieve....
Great vlog. Always look forward to the next one. Thanks
Out of interest what visa did you enter Thailand on - was it a standard tourist visa or 90 day Non-Immigrant visa? I am sure everyone will be interested if you can explain the nuances and differences as you move to obtain your longer stay visa …
Shouldn't be earning money on them visas good way to get deported
He’ll overpay an agent to get a retirement visa without the funds, that’s the modus operandi of most of those Pattaya-guys.
HNY Darren ,, hope everything turns out ok ,, mine has started off in a much better way than 24
It's about 4 or 5 hrs to Hua Hin. Must be at least 300km. Go anyway👍
There's plenty to see down the east coast too. Nice beach towns on the way to Rayong. Not many foreigners go that far. There's also Cafe War.
Hua Hin has turned into little Pattaya in the last 20 years. You won't find "what Thailand is all about" there. By April the weather gets rather too hot for cruising long distances on a moped so start getting those tours in now.
10 seconds watched it then off.
Boring.
You couldn't been too bored. Otherwise, you wouldn't have left a comment.
I too have decided to leave where I am currently living, to pick up some milk from the shop.
😂
No detail too trivial to document for this guy. Clickbait titles to mask the paucity of content will only work for so long.
@@williambyron564 yet here you are 🤣
Hope the shop was open, David 👌
@@marky147Wasn’t mate, didn’t check ahead. Will have to improvise and release a weird video complaining about it later this evening.
Glad your staying would love a beer with you when I'm over next.
Enjoyed the vlog mate!
GPX DZ3 - 300cc - 24.1 HP - Brand New - 99,000 Baht - from any GPX Dealer - with 3 Years Warranty.
If you continue with your Current XSR700 Rental - 6 x Months @ 17,000 = 102,000 Baht.
Of course, your Rented Yamaha XSR700 is twice as Powerful, so you may prefer that for your Road Trip.
PS - The info above is aimed to be helpful not critical, we do not want to see you running out of money, we love your content and want it to continue.
Good information Tony
Useless content... No idea why he has any traction at all. Tarraa Mr Boring.
No idea why you keep coming back . . .could it be you just love to slag people off.
100 km to Hau Hin ...you might have to check that 😂 Think it was nearer 300km last time I did it.
Enjoy your travels Darren…!👍 (Just one bit of advice…. Don’t go down the clickbait vlog titles route….. you’re better than that mate…..! You only have to look how many are unsubscribing from a certain “previous acquaintance” of yours’ channel to see where that goes….!) 🤔
@@keithwells7892 Good comment. The 2 things guaranteed to kill any RUclips channel are click bait thumbnails, and deleting negative comments. This channel is heading that way fast.
No need for the clickbait title - you’re better than that. Glad that you are getting away from the sex tourists in Pattaya.
Unfortunately he ain't.
Is he? He does it on virtually every video you all just keep falling for it
Every one is a sex tourist? You have obviously never been. I agree needs to stop the click bait.
@@user-ox8sn3lu7e still here, still trolling. Pathetic.
@@user-ox8sn3lu7ewhat’s it to you sofa jockey?
Oh Daz, please dont you go down the sad clickbait route, like some others...your better than that .
Fella's becoming a joke. If you ever needed an example of quantity over quality, he's your man. Eroded several year`s good work in a matter of weeks with the misguided idea that he had built a full time job out of RUclips, or more to the point, he could generate sufficient content of quality to sustain one.
Whatever mate,,, Darren is doing just fine as he is
Do why are you here. The growth in his subs says he is doing something right.
@@markMelgeorge2845 if doing fine is churning out video after video with little or no content, with the regular threat of bloking anyone who has in any way another opinion, you are spot on. When in London, he regularly provided honest feedback on less than desirable experiences, strange how everything in Thailand is spot on without a flaw.
Keep banging the drum of the we love Dazza tune
@@redmoon8217 when you can construct a coherent sentence, I will grace it with a response
Go to Cambodia mate... you can get the bus from Pattaya Klang...to HatLek..over border to Koh Kong then wherever.
Appreciate you are an experienced motorbike you have never experienced riding a motorbike in Thailand. Be very careful what with overtaking and undertaking and cars edging out of junctions and generally not being aware of other road users ! Also, as one of the other people in the comments said, riding with all the proper safety gear means you will be absolutely roasted ! If you go to Chiang Mai, check out the motorcycle graveyard ! The statistics for motorcycle deaths in Thailand are horrific, 89% of all road deaths 😢 keep your wits about you and take care 😮 have you sorted out your O or OA visa yet ? One last thing cut out the click bait, leave that crap for other RUclips Vloggers !!
Misleading - yes. Clickbait, no.
Needs a break from Pattaya. You've only been there a few weeks. Doesn't bode well I'm afraid.
If he’s not into whores and bars 24/7 then maybe not.. because to be fair there’s not much more to the place than that🤷♂️
Do you not worry that the bike may be stolen, or is it safe over there?
It's a goog ride to hue hin but my advice is leave early it's not called death rd for nothing and bankok is a mare all day stop start but more stop
Pal, about 100km on the old ferry ! . Maybe 300/350 by road and 2 hours crossing bkk. I've rode most places. Pointless buy too bigger bike the dual carriageways aren't great full of holes and Klong splits
I owned a Yamaha XSR700 Tribute as one of my bikes for two years, great bike just not for two up and suspension is limited but that engine is brilliant , suspension is its downfall other than on smooth tarmac.
