For Thailand, that's not cheap. I paid about the same, per person, for Christmas dinner at a five star hotel in Bangkok. And that included desserts, a cheese plate, etc.

Every now and then, treat yourselves , and why not? Have friends in Egypt. We used to holiday there. Us with the kids. Kids at their age then pizza, chips. In Cairo was astonishly good local food. All kids really want on holiday any effing where, if it's hot is a swimming pool and fries and ice cream, gallons of soft drinks. The Marriott hotel had it all. The Cairo Hilton above the bedlam and chill the view. Our friends looked after our boys. Even though they had been up there. A treat for us
Since you are a man that loves spice, you should have them blacken your steak with Cajun spices and double chared, then dipping it in your beloved bearnaise sauce. (Best on a New York strip or similar) Every now and then is a real treat on a good piece of meat. Just remember the bearnaise sauce is made with a full stick of butter!

I would tend to agree. I liked Darren's early videos (during Covid) and his bike rides. Especially his crazy bike trip to Tenerife with Daisy. Hopefully we'll be seeing much more of that kind of content this year.
If it’s such a fancy restaurant, you could have dressed up a bit for the occasion. 58 pounds for a rough looking steak and frozen chips! That meal was 6 days budgeting gone, hope you enjoyed it! Add in the 20 pounds a day bike rental and there won’t be much left over for when family and friends come to visit! Would love if you interacted with genuine Thai people a bit more, videos are beyond boring now.
