Honestly, when I first played this game, my mind was blown by the crisp look of the cutscenes. I loved the character voices as well. Playing the game was a brilliant experience.

I remember when I played this for the first time and watched the introduction scene and the Fire Emblem theme came up, I started crying. I grew up with these. Now, after all this years, I still get goosebumps all over my body when I hear it. It's amazing how this game still manages to touch my soul

2004appu SSB4 isn't even considered a 3DS game just like Ocarina of Time 3D isn't because it was originally on another console. They only put SSB4 on the 3DS for money and to reach a wider audience. The real game is on the Wii U
I love how all the people who supposedly played Fire Emblem games before Awakening think that the game was the worst in the series. I've played multiple Fire Emblem games before and Awakening is by far the best.
The SuperStriker I feel like their complaints go well beyond that, but I agree that even if said complaints are valid, haters of Awakening make them out to be far worse than they actually are, for the most part. Indeed, from what I've gathered, this game definitely seems like a base-breaker, but I'm comfortably in the camp that loves it for what it is.
I played all of the gba ones even the one with roy and I have to say out of the ones I have played this is by far the best but I can understand where those people are coming from. Some of the characters in awakening are meh, The fact that enemies can spawn and move on the same turn is frustrating to say the least making the game more frustrating than difficult at times and I think the maps are a bit boring. Most of them are just completely wide open with no mountains or interesting geography to avoid or play around but they do look beautiful. Everything else was fantastic and awakening is absolutely my favorite game in the series if not overall but I am not blind to it's flaws
Well the only other game from the Fire Emblem series is Radiant Dawn so I'm not some veteran of the series or anything. Although I will definitely say that both games are amazing. Radiant Dawn is my current favorite game of all time and Awakening is a moderately close second.
I couldn’t get into three houses like I could with awakening. I like the graphics of awakening more and while micro managing your team is fun, it just ended up taking too long and I got bored. The story didn’t captivate me, either, and I got to chapter 10.

I'm talking about the guy who looks like a villain, due to the fact he has the ugliest face I've ever seen in a FE game. It's the guy with extremely pointy baldish head on the right side of the screen, during a non-cinematic cutscene. I think it's around 1:20 in the video, to be extremely specific. But it does seem like we'll get our own cusomizable lord, like in Awakening with the tactician. But that's just trailer speculation. It's definitely something I would love.

Two of my friends LOVE this game. I got it for Christmas, but I wasn't too crazy about it at first. I got past a certain point and I couldn't put down my 3DS.
Bring it to switch. This one makes the most sense to remake. Its the most popular, its where the series blew up. And there are 3 fe awakening characters in smash. Lucina, robin and chrom. If the whole game can look like the cg cutscenes like three houses and engage already do. It would absolutely a fantastic package.

Sadly there aren't any next parts.. This was the last Fire Emblem what they will make. Or at least it was suppose to be. If we are lucky, they will make a remake of some older games (Like what they did for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time).
Summer Salmon Initially, they said that if they did not make good sales on this title, they would cancel the series. However, the sales of this title in north America actually EXCEEDED their target goal, so I would assume that the series is STILL ALIVE! :D Personally, I think that they should do remakes of older titles, to help the new audience (like me) understand how things begun in this series (i.e. starting from the age of Price Marth) so that they can pull more people into this series and make them more interested in what the next Fire Emblem game has to offer. Additionally, I want them to make an "anime series" of Fire Emblem Awakening (or a 2 hour movie). I think the story was very appealing and enjoyable as well as the graphics. I'm pretty sure they can attract even more people into the series if make a series/movie in the best way possible! :)

Fire Emblem Awakening for game of the year. Apotheosis is the best word for Awakening meaning elevation to a god or godlike status. When a game sells over a million it becomes powerful awakening was the first to surpass a million.
Oh I remember running around town trying to get this. I pre ordered at gamestop to get the art book but Nintendo did not send my copy so I went to target and got the last copy in the whole store. Good times.
I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since this game released! I have very fond memories of playing Awakening. I remember playing it back in 2015 during my freshman year of high school. The storyline and characters were amazing and memorable! I’ll always cherish Awakening for keeping me entertained for hours on end ❤
This was my debut to the Fire Emblem series. My channel was named 'Masterseal' thanks to this franchise savior(akin to Devil May Cry 3). Been 11 years since Awakening released, and this was the birth of a new age.
I'm downloading this on my modded 3ds. I was interested in fire emblem back then but there were many other games that kept outshining it so I thought I might as well finally play it for the first time.
I've only played Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn for Wii, which was awesome, so I'm looking forward to playing this. Fire Emblem and strategy RPGs in general deserves much more love. 3DS is in for a great year!
I've never played Fire Emblem, but I've been thinking about buying this game after hearing nothing but praise for it. I wish it was on the Wii though, my brothers 3DS feels too small for my hands.
if you haven't got it already, do yourself a favour and pick up a gba or even better, an original ds, then hop on to ebay and get yourself one of the gba games or shadow dragon for a good challenge

I played Fire Emblem since Radiant Dawn, and Awkening is my favourite. It has the perfect blend of humour and seriousness. It's a very moving story of friendship and bonds between humanity. It makes you glad to be alive and just want to hug someone.
Awakening brought me into the series. I got it a couple years after launch when I was 13 or 14 and made me fall in love with fire emblem. Awakening may not be the best in the series, but it has my favorite fe cast. I can still remember almost all of the characters names and personality even though I haven't played the game fully through in 3 or 4 years.

So I don't really resonate with her anymore. 🌟 I do love that she has a dragon and seems to have a lot of insight into other people. 🌟 I'm not sure which character is the most like me now....I actually think Robin as they are someone you could be proud of. The main character is such a decent person. I loved Olivia and Virion. ❤ She's the only one who likes him from the start and finds him "dreamy" The way they dance together in the final conversation is really sweet and it's nice to see someone appreciate Virion. I also like Olivia and Libra because besides Virion Libra is the only one who understands art. I also like that Olivia doesn't make "I thought you were a woman" jokes at him. She seems to respect him. 🌟 I also really love Libra X Nowi because Nowi is one of the few Libra opens up to. Libra X Robin is a great match and one of the few that make hed blush. He makes her a wonderful piece of art in the S Tier and not many of the other characters are that romantic. My favourite ship is still Robin X Chrom because the bond of friendship in all the cutscenes is so touching. They are clearly soulmates. I put Stahl with Cordelia. He's the only one who tries hard enough to meet her standards. As for Tharja she's a strong unit but I don't use her! She abuses her daughter and treats everyone but Robin horribly. I really don't like her. What's Lucina like as a wife?

I'm also like Olivia, in the sense that I'm a pretty shy person but I'm willing to talk to others if I have too (I just prefer to be by my self). I only played as f!Robin once and when I did I married Chrom. I thought their supports were funny. It's not everyday that you accidently walk into your coworker while they are taking a bath. XD I understand why many people don't like Tharja, especially since she seems to be more of a fanservice type character. However, in her supports she does seem to care about others (especially Robin) and does her best to change to make them better or goes by helping them in different, and sometimes dark ways. The way she uses her child is something I don't commend. Personally, I think tharja and henry make alot of sense. I chose Robin and tiki as one of my favorite pairings, just because she seems to like robin, and she deserves some happiness, even if it only lasts for a few decades. I chose Robin and lucina mostly because it's one of the more popular pairings in the fanbase. It does make sense though, because they both seem to genuinely care and want the best for eachother. It also explains why morgan came from a different timeline. I also love the art for the proposal. I forgot to say, I know he may not have the best design, but I love stahls armor. My favorite color is green, and he is one of the few people with green armor by default. My favorite character design is probably tiki or robin. Who is your favorite design in the game?
it's weird seeing trailers for important 3DS titles after ten years, really feels like it was when games as an art form "peaked". not because of nostalgia, but because most games we have today are so limited, so chained to repeating formulas that were successful a decade ago, that creativity is basically dead and the new games never get close to their full potential, never make the revolution many titles of the 3DS era made. here's hoping the next decade changes that
Awakening was such a inspirational game, because of that and the leading of fates it allow me to have Lucina and Corrin as my most favorite female and male character respectively

Well, If we're talking handhelds, then Pokemon X/Y is really up there, too. Trust me, I own both games and they both have great mechanics, story, and overall experience.
This is easily one of the best CRPGS of all time and it is probably one of the best games this system will ever have. I love that the developers went out and asked fans what they liked the most about every fire emblem game, and actually changed a few things based on that. hence why there were so much focus on companionship and marriage. It's funny to think that this was nearly the absolute last Fire emblem game to be released, yet because of the strong dedication from the devs they managed to turn it into a fresh version of the first final fantasy game, which were squares last atempt to make a succsefull game. So three cheers for Awakening, and I just can't wait for FE14.
Finally get to play this. The free Demo is what got me to buy conquest, and memories of that game led me to get three houses. Now I get to come back and play this and Echoes for the first time

I like fates a lot more. Birthright on normal would probably be a good starting point for a beginner. These games are very complicated for newcomers. Ive beaten three of the games and im still finding them very challenging. Dont let anyone tell you youre a noob for playing on normal. But you are a noob if you use phoenix mode. Please dont use phoenix mode.
Now for a noob phoenix mode could be an option as a last resort for Conquest, but I agree, stick to Normal. I would say get Awakening first, but if you choose to get Fates, play Birthright, Conquest, Revelation in that order.
I’d say both yes and no. there are definitely worse entry points to the series and better entry points but It’s definitely a great start for a newcomer
Disgaea focuses more on grinding, special attacks, creating your own units, and minding wild terrain effects. Movement and attack methods seem more involved. Fire Emblem focuses more on creating tight formations, unit types vs enemy types, and managing relationships between your troops. The scenario for any one battle may change partway thru the battle (more enemies or allies arrive, victory conditions change), testing your improvisation. I'd recommend searching RUclips for gameplay videos.
Get this if you have a console. You can get the HD collection for the same price as Snake Eater, and the collection also has 2 and Peace Walker plus MG1 and MG2.

Sadly there aren't any next parts.. This was the last Fire Emblem what they will make. Or at least it was suppose to be. If we are lucky, they will make a remake of some older games (Like what they did for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time).
Summer Salmon Initially, they said that if they did not make good sales on this title, they would cancel the series. However, the sales of this title in north America actually EXCEEDED their target goal, so I would assume that the series is STILL ALIVE! :D
Personally, I think that they should do remakes of older titles, to help the new audience (like me) understand how things begun in this series (i.e. starting from the age of Price Marth) so that they can pull more people into this series and make them more interested in what the next Fire Emblem game has to offer.
Additionally, I want them to make an "anime series" of Fire Emblem Awakening (or a 2 hour movie). I think the story was very appealing and enjoyable as well as the graphics. I'm pretty sure they can attract even more people into the series if make a series/movie in the best way possible! :)

There is actually an anime of Fire Emblem.. It's only 3 episodes thought.. It tells of the Shadow Dragon (Ankoku no ryuu hikari no ken) (I have that game :D). The anime is really old, but you can watch it, if you want. ^^
Summer Salmon I think I kinda saw some scenes of that anime, but didn't like it because of the graphics and didn't feel engaging in any way....
I think if they make a series/movie with the same graphics from the game, in addition to more intense/dramatic battle scenes would be totally AWESOME!
P.S: Roy? I know him, I played him in "Super Smash Bros. Melee" and I like him even MORE THAN Marth, so I would totally be excited if they made a game based of his original story! :D :D :D

The storyline and characters were amazing and memorable! I’ll always cherish Awakening for keeping me entertained for hours on end ❤

I’ve gotten into Fire Emblem recently through Heroes and I tried out the demo of Awakening. It’s so much fun and I can’t wait to get the whole game.

This was my debut to the Fire Emblem series. My channel was named 'Masterseal' thanks to this franchise savior(akin to Devil May Cry 3). Been 11 years since Awakening released, and this was the birth of a new age.
I'm downloading this on my modded 3ds. I was interested in fire emblem back then but there were many other games that kept outshining it so I thought I might as well finally play it for the first time.
I've only played Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn for Wii, which was awesome, so I'm looking forward to playing this. Fire Emblem and strategy RPGs in general deserves much more love. 3DS is in for a great year!

I've never played Fire Emblem, but I've been thinking about buying this game after hearing nothing but praise for it. I wish it was on the Wii though, my brothers 3DS feels too small for my hands.

I played Fire Emblem since Radiant Dawn, and Awkening is my favourite. It has the perfect blend of humour and seriousness. It's a very moving story of friendship and bonds between humanity. It makes you glad to be alive and just want to hug someone.
Awakening brought me into the series. I got it a couple years after launch when I was 13 or 14 and made me fall in love with fire emblem. Awakening may not be the best in the series, but it has my favorite fe cast. I can still remember almost all of the characters names and personality even though I haven't played the game fully through in 3 or 4 years.

I used to think I was like Cherche, but on my third play where I got to know her further I thought she was a bit mean and judgemental. So I don't really resonate with her anymore. 🌟 I do love that she has a dragon and seems to have a lot of insight into other people. 🌟 I'm not sure which character is the most like me now....I actually think Robin as they are someone you could be proud of. The main character is such a decent person.
I loved Olivia and Virion. ❤ She's the only one who likes him from the start and finds him "dreamy" The way they dance together in the final conversation is really sweet and it's nice to see someone appreciate Virion.
I also like Olivia and Libra because besides Virion Libra is the only one who understands art. I also like that Olivia doesn't make "I thought you were a woman" jokes at him. She seems to respect him. 🌟 I also really love Libra X Nowi because Nowi is one of the few Libra opens up to.
Libra X Robin is a great match and one of the few that make hed blush. He makes her a wonderful piece of art in the S Tier and not many of the other characters are that romantic.
My favourite ship is still Robin X Chrom because the bond of friendship in all the cutscenes is so touching. They are clearly soulmates.
I put Stahl with Cordelia. He's the only one who tries hard enough to meet her standards.
As for Tharja she's a strong unit but I don't use her! She abuses her daughter and treats everyone but Robin horribly. I really don't like her.

@@stariadreamtea Besides looking relatively similar to Stahl, I'm kind to others like him and am an average person. I'm also like Olivia, in the sense that I'm a pretty shy person but I'm willing to talk to others if I have too (I just prefer to be by my self).
I only played as f!Robin once and when I did I married Chrom. I thought their supports were funny. It's not everyday that you accidently walk into your coworker while they are taking a bath. XD
I understand why many people don't like Tharja, especially since she seems to be more of a fanservice type character. However, in her supports she does seem to care about others (especially Robin) and does her best to change to make them better or goes by helping them in different, and sometimes dark ways. The way she uses her child is something I don't commend. Personally, I think tharja and henry make alot of sense.
I chose Robin and tiki as one of my favorite pairings, just because she seems to like robin, and she deserves some happiness, even if it only lasts for a few decades.
I chose Robin and lucina mostly because it's one of the more popular pairings in the fanbase. It does make sense though, because they both seem to genuinely care and want the best for eachother. It also explains why morgan came from a different timeline. I also love the art for the proposal.
I forgot to say, I know he may not have the best design, but I love stahls armor. My favorite color is green, and he is one of the few people with green armor by default. My favorite character design is probably tiki or robin. Who is your favorite design in the game?

it's weird seeing trailers for important 3DS titles after ten years, really feels like it was when games as an art form "peaked". not because of nostalgia, but because most games we have today are so limited, so chained to repeating formulas that were successful a decade ago, that creativity is basically dead and the new games never get close to their full potential, never make the revolution many titles of the 3DS era made. here's hoping the next decade changes that

Various reasons like the art style, changes, and "fanservice". What these old-gen elitists don't realize is that if it weren't for these changes, the franchise would be dead. I've played since the GBA games and I liked both Awakening and Fates too

This is easily one of the best CRPGS of all time and it is probably one of the best games this system will ever have. I love that the developers went out and asked fans what they liked the most about every fire emblem game, and actually changed a few things based on that. hence why there were so much focus on companionship and marriage. It's funny to think that this was nearly the absolute last Fire emblem game to be released, yet because of the strong dedication from the devs they managed to turn it into a fresh version of the first final fantasy game, which were squares last atempt to make a succsefull game. So three cheers for Awakening, and I just can't wait for FE14.

Awakening is a great entry point.
I like fates a lot more. Birthright on normal would probably be a good starting point for a beginner. These games are very complicated for newcomers. Ive beaten three of the games and im still finding them very challenging. Dont let anyone tell you youre a noob for playing on normal. But you are a noob if you use phoenix mode. Please dont use phoenix mode.

Now for a noob phoenix mode could be an option as a last resort for Conquest, but I agree, stick to Normal. I would say get Awakening first, but if you choose to get Fates, play Birthright, Conquest, Revelation in that order.

Disgaea focuses more on grinding, special attacks, creating your own units, and minding wild terrain effects. Movement and attack methods seem more involved.
Fire Emblem focuses more on creating tight formations, unit types vs enemy types, and managing relationships between your troops. The scenario for any one battle may change partway thru the battle (more enemies or allies arrive, victory conditions change), testing your improvisation.
I'd recommend searching RUclips for gameplay videos.
