@@s2-railgun718 toadally awesome was summoned with the effect of bahamut shark, which doesn't count as an xyz summon, so toadally was not properly summoned from the extra deck with its own game mechanic. Monsters that weren't properly summoned (like monsters sent to te GY with nadir, monster whose summon was negated by solemns or monster that were special summoned by effects that don't specify that it was a proper summon like bahamhut) cannot be reborn.
Milling shufflers kills Flamberge's effect to bring back bodies from the grave. If you have 3 Keldo and 3 Mudora, you'll probably hit at least one of those in a mill 8. If you hit Agido and Kelbek, you can really mess with Snake eyes to access their one ofs from the deck. Bystials will blank any attempt to target I:P into the spell/trap zone from Flamberge. Ishizu Bystial Tearlaments would really tear into the core mechanisms of the Snake Eye deck with Snake Eye having little recourse. Ishizu Tearlaments is so crazy that if you mill a decent amount of cards, you'll hit several things that have both offensive and defensive effects.
To be fair the 2nd game snake eyes made a major game ending blunder. Somehow they had 2 card combo but ended on literally nothing. The fumbled the combo was meant to end on an I:P in s/t with formula on field. This would’ve won them the game even through droplet because they would’ve had an extra 2-4 disruption instead of only having 3 for a 2 card combo.
to be fair look at what hes ending on in game 2 with black witch and snake eye ash vs basically 0 interrupts. i dont think these guys represent how these decks would interact at full power nowadays
Still convinced that tear was created by someone who wanted to watch Konami burn. They ignored all protocols and regulations pushed the archetype through and hit them with the two weeks when they read the cards.

Snake-eye fiendsmith is totally capable of keeping up with Tear. Yeah, shufflers are annoying but Snake-eye has the edge in siding and non-engine, they can post side a bunch of bystials, D.D crows and DDG (can even search it). Not to mention, Snake-eyes is getting even stronger with the Azamina stuff coming soon. I understand Tear was exceptionally strong for its time, but tbh power creep has caught up

They had to ban so many things for snake eyes to be where it’s at. They could unban a shit load of things and regular decklist full power tear will still be the greatest deck of all time.
The thing I notice the most is 90% of the games I go first in if I'm not specifically playing against Snake-Eyes Fiendsmith they only last no longer than 2 minutes. That's long enough for me to run them out of resources and finish them off in 1 or 2 turns. Not a lot they can do after they are in top deck mode. Its like this even when I play Vanquish Soul. To be fair though its probably because I almost never make mistakes on my plays and even though I've only ever had the chance play online most of the time I play like I can see the future even though I can't. I'm one of those people that doesn't need a tier 1 deck to win. I think a lot of the skill expression in the game comes from deck building and knowledge of rulings because dog can learn how to repeat the same tricks once they've learned how. Once you know the basics all you have to do is read your cards and practice till you know them all without reading them. From there you make the same plays almost every game and touch your other cards every now and then. In all of my games I use maybe 3 or 4 different monsters from my extra deck and wonder when I'm going to need the rest. I love the game but I wish there more situations where we have to make something out of nothing.
I definitely would like to see full power tear vs full powered Kashtira. Though I hate tear more than any deck created I think it has the edge over Kash. But it kind of depends on who goes first…🤔
Please just for fun do full power Zoodiac deck with EVERY Zoodiac card at 3 with modern support and cards vs current full power Tier 0 Fiendsmith Snake-Eyes 😂
I would recommend Labyrinth to most players because it doesn't minus as much as you would think it does and if your up against Snake-Eyes as long as you don't screw it up Daruma Cannon and D. Barrier to stop them from Link summoning should make Snake-Eyes the freest matchup of your life. Labyrinth also does amazing against every other deck in the game and is a deck that rewards you for knowing your stuff and evolving with the deck over time. It will never be a deck that will disappoint you. With the ability to negate spell/traps being rare due to Baronne and Savages ban all it really takes is successfully resolving 1 busted trap card and yes normally trap cards aren't busted but Rafflesia and Labyrinth are some of the exceptions.
Should rebuild the snake eyes deck to make it reflect whatd actually be if tear was still a threat, more bystials, d.d. crow and the shufflers itself. 🫤
Nice match but game 2 activating skill drain was wrong when you still have plays to do. Also not sure what happened but that board was wrong for the 2 card combo? It should’ve ended on I:P in spell/trap, flam, princess, Borrel and temple. How the combo was meant to go once the formula was made was link into I:P using oak + pop, revive jet using its effect, make princess, revive oak, oak send itself and princess make flam place I:P in s/t. This would’ve made the board go for 2 Omni + princess to 2 Omni, princess + 2 S:P banish or 4 apo negate.
I feel like full power tear without ashizu cards would be on par with full power snake eyes (without dbarrier or skill drain). I feel like the tear everyone knows was just a perfect storm of konami juat not thinking when it comes to what they were releasing in succession... I mean, a mill deck where you mix it with another new archetype that mills you more?

@kevinlee5753 maybe they will be fully unbanned in 10 years like how Dragon Rulers were, another deck far ahead of its time. Full power dragon rulers is far from top tier but not terrible in today's format, I think tear will always have some degree of viability. Unless zero card combos become a thing (not impossible, see charmer archtype).

Tear by itself is good at best. Ishizu stuff is what put it over the top. If those weren't printed, tear couldn't / can't beat snake-eyes
