I appreciate seeing shots that didn't strike. Adds a bit of realism. Thanks. I ordered on today, and we'll see how it goes. I'm a down and in stroker who isn't afraid to head inside when that's what it takes. Thanks for this review.
I bowl one handed no thumb. When I first got this ball it was waaaayyyyy too strong. But after about 100 games it became much more smooth I find that now if I polish it, it will glide through the breakpoint and leave splits. So I just leave it unpolished so it breaks earlier and now for me it’s a house shot killer. Been bowling 2 years and average about 202 with this ball. I just wonder if I’ll have the same experience if I purchase a new asymmetric pearl from storm like the intense
I find taking the shine off with a 3000 or 4000 grit abralon really helps that. I always try it out of box, then play with the surface a little to see where it is the most comfortable to me. I tend to favor the 3000 on about everything.
I really like your reviews! Please do more!!! I certainly don't have the hand strength to be a cranker or anything close. Those reviews, although envious to watch, are useless for old guys like me. I am bowling in a league this year for the first time since the 99-00 season. My style is a classic stroker; still learning this stuff after being away from the game for so many years! I’m 58 but physically, I am in excellent shape, so no ailments of any kind that would prevent me from throwing the ball the right way. I also have one distinct advantage; I’m left handed and I am the ONLY left-hander in our league. You all know guys like me; stand just barely left of center, throw it out over the second arrow and bring it back. My average right now is 203 and it’s been 216 over the last 15 weeks. Not kidding. Yet, I am throwing an original 16lb. Nitro/R which was sitting in my basement unused since the spring of 2000. I think I bought it that last year of bowling, but it’s been so long, I can’t even remember. Really intrigued by all of the new technology; can’t get enough of the science part of the game these days. I am not messing with success, (so to speak) for now, but I will buy a new ball when the season is over. I am learning a lot watching your videos and I will certainly be more knowledgeable about the products and what looks right for me and my style when I take our first place winnings and spend it on new equipment. I’ll have all summer to figure out my new toy(s)! Keep up the great work! Much appreciated!!
the grudge hybrid looks very similar to this regarding its smooth thru and down lane, then a constant curve into the pocket. I saw the shots where the Code Black seems to loose steam but your grudge hybrid was not the same guy so im not sure how similar it would be if tammer threw the grudge hybrid,, id love to see it in a comparison review somewhere as im looking to get this or the grudge hybrid
How do I get this ball to skid less? It's pin down but I see that when I get it a little in the oil it skids way too long and I leave a lot of 2-pins. (I'm a righty)
trevor perov the intense would be the strongest, meaning it would handle the most oil. Code black would be the most flippy. Black Widow Gold would be in the middle. I find the gold more usable than either other 2 but it depends on what you are looking for.
TamerBowling more usable for sport patterns or THS? I’m looking to build my arsenal for tournament use and currently my only pearl is the marvel and I’m looking for a different look, preferably a little stronger. I’m a 2 hander with about 475rpm at 17mph
trevor perov ok there are some finer points. If you will face heavier or longer sport patterns, the Intense will work well. It has a heavy roll with turn especially for a higher rev bowler. Marvel pearl is the control pearl which would be underneath the Intense in that situation. For medium sport, marvel pearl on fresh and the black widow gold when they open up because that ball has more backend. So you really have to think about the characteristics of the ball reaction. House shots tend to look different because the back ends aren’t as sharp as sport. For me gold is better on most medium house shots than either the other balls because Intense is too much ball and marvel pearl is too smooth. I’m 380 rpm with little tilt so differences are accentuated.
does ball on medium to heavy oil how does it compare to my Vivid volleyball cuz the Vivid has that longer skid but good flip on the back end cuz I thought about upgrading cause i see this ball and it hooks crazy
Lock covers more oil. Code Black will work better with medium volumes, hence being a step down. Doesn't mean it hooks less. The Code Black hooks a ton but Lock will be more predictable in higher volumes of oil.
Depends on your style and what you're bowling on. For me it's a tough call between the No Rules Pearl and Snap Lock. But many are able to use the Code Black on a lot of house conditions.
TamerBowling I got the no rules pearl and I had It for a while and I love it it is what my coach said to get the ball I use it on patterns like bear and viper but that could just be limerick bowling alley and if I go to Jay lanes it probably would be different
YamahaPro20 they are similar but the code black is pearl so goes a little longer and is snappier. The code red is a hybrid, starts hooking a touch earlier, and is a little smoother downlane. Both are strong.
Keep up this channel. The more ball review channels like this, the better it is for everyone that bowls.
Thanks!

Kevin Johnson then you'll hate this ball in same way and it skids too far I hate it had 2 drilled pin up and down ball sucks so dissapointed
how's the ball?

This ball did nothing for me, then it cracked and that was it
Never been a fan of yellow inserts but it does make the black ball look better going down the lane when you have all those revs...
Just my 2nd 700 of the season using this ball.
just bought this ball. cant wait to try it out.
Randy Pederson would fall in love if he ever saw Guy Porr.
yeah and he would tell everyone his standart line: Thats why you put speed and Revs on a bowling ball.
Will you guys be doing Roto Grip's Wreck-It?
"I realize that guys roll is impressive"
BRUH!!!

I wonder if there any oil in those lanes. Lot of back end
Pbabowler well it's a short house shot, and the first guy has a 625 rev rate.

I bowl a stroker style and I have the tropical storm right now. What should I get next
BullyBrian 82 how does the tropical storm react for you?
TamerBowling it reacts well for me especially when it hits the dry spots. Even though most balls react in the dry spots
BullyBrian 82 so are you looking for a ball that can handle more oil? What is your average?
TamerBowling YES basically I want it to handle more oil. My average is 125 I'm only a teenager
TamerBowling so what ball do u recommend
How do I get this ball to skid less? It's pin down but I see that when I get it a little in the oil it skids way too long and I leave a lot of 2-pins. (I'm a righty)
You have to add surface. Take the shine off with 4000 grit abralon to start and then work your way down as needed.
I’m looking for a stronger pearl. Is this or the black widow gold stronger? Also, would you recommend the storm intense?
trevor perov the intense would be the strongest, meaning it would handle the most oil. Code black would be the most flippy. Black Widow Gold would be in the middle. I find the gold more usable than either other 2 but it depends on what you are looking for.

TamerBowling thank you for your insight!

vivid bowling ball
What Kind of ball Does Pete Weber hadFor the PBAIn 2015
championship
YOU SAID THAT THIS BALL IS A STEP DOWN FROM THE LOCK, WHY IS THAT?
Lock covers more oil. Code Black will work better with medium volumes, hence being a step down. Doesn't mean it hooks less. The Code Black hooks a ton but Lock will be more predictable in higher volumes of oil.
do you recommend a no rules pearl, this, or a snap lock
Depends on your style and what you're bowling on. For me it's a tough call between the No Rules Pearl and Snap Lock. But many are able to use the Code Black on a lot of house conditions.
TamerBowling I got the no rules pearl and I had It for a while and I love it it is what my coach said to get the ball I use it on patterns like bear and viper but that could just be limerick bowling alley and if I go to Jay lanes it probably would be different
Don’t like the Hustle ink. It didn’t seem to strike a lot and lose it drive going it the pocket.
Do you recommend Storm Code Black or the Pyramid BluePrint Pearl when looking for a skid/flip ball?
I saw these as an Asian release a few years back and was very impressed then. Great ball. Shame about the smell!
get 1 more tester twohandler please.
Pretty sure our first tester has higher revs than most 2 handers....
Agree. I'm guessing the right hander is pushing past 500 rpm.
Jayson Dasco I know right
I just got this ball 3 days ago
That's what I was going to say! Damn he really snaps it.
#astormiscoming #belmobelievers
new to your videos, subbed, which one between code red or black? they seem very similar
YamahaPro20 they are similar but the code black is pearl so goes a little longer and is snappier. The code red is a hybrid, starts hooking a touch earlier, and is a little smoother downlane. Both are strong.
TamerBowling thanks man
Get guy to throw the timeless, that would be crazy because he has more revs than 2 handers
Oh yeah, that's happening! :-)
