I would love it if you could answer this question for me Darren! I only have a 3 ball arsenal right now after almost a decade away from bowling. Axiom Pearl, Pitch Black, and my plastic Storm Ice spare ball. My Axiom Pearl is godlike for the first couple games but once the lanes dry out I have difficulty finding the pocket. I'm looking for a ball to transition over to once my Axiom Pearl starts to become less predictable. Any thoughts? 200 average bowler that starts off great for the first couple games but my average falls off 10-40 pins late into my matches when I continue on with my Axiom Pearl.
Darren, totally enjoy you videos. And somehow you manage to add some entertaining moments to them, for an exciting viewing. Thanks for what you do on your channel, it has helped me over time decide on what bowling balls to purchase.
@@Mista808 You can't go straight up the back and hook the lane like he does unless you had a two handers revs and a ball drilled to start rolling very early.

For your first ball? I’d recommend neither of those. I’d probably recommend something like the !Q Tour Solid, Hustle PBR, Electrify solid, Burner Solid, or Tropical Surge.
@@NeilGR that is a great first ball. Great average for a new bowler too! Something as a step up from that. I’d probably recommend a Phaze II or Axiom. Something smoother and versatile. That would give you more traction for heavier oil conditions or move inside into the oil has dried up on the outside. I wouldn’t recommend going to an asymmetrical ball yet.
It's Dark Code. Proton, Rubicon (both of them), and the RST are all fantastic, and the Reality and Zen are also amazing. Look up reviews for all of them and see which fits your game.
Maybe you, Brad, and Kyle should have a contest to see who can strike the most while doing the 7 arrows drill. I mentioned Brad and Kyle because they made a video about it, and Kyle struck maybe 5 out of 7 times? Also the moment you made a Rob Stone reference....YAHTZEE!! It was awesome! And? I was thinking about picking it up. Right now my primary is the Axiom Pearl but it's a pearl. Still works great for my first couple games in league but after that it becomes way less predictable so I need a ball to easily transition over to once the lanes have dried out.
I get capitalism and the bowling henchmen trying to sell balls but this vid my brother doesn't make anything with CODE look good. Well can't wait til the next best ball you review. Is there one you don't like!

More up the back. Darren is more of a 3/4 roller.

Dark code almost feels like a mix of all 3 us codes
I just picked up my second dark code after getting a 714 with my first one after 4 weeks of using it I started league at 184 now I’m at 199
How's that CODE ONE compare to the Dark Code?
