I know Russia very well. I live there from time to time in Siberia / Omsk. I have family there and a 9 year old son. But I'm a native German and live and work some month at the year in Germany. The most Germans know absolut nothing about Russia, only what the news tell them. For my self I must say. Russia is a mind blowing country. The history, the culture, deserts, mountains, ice, vulcanos, mediterainian landscapes, oriental, European, kaukasian, Asian. It have much more to offer then the USA.. Who have the opportunity to visit Russia... Go there and make you self a picture 😊

I'm not Russian, but I watched many Russian RUclipsrs even before the war. I followed all of the ones you showed at the beginning of your video. Some of them searched for bread through RUclips videos. However, now they have no income from this due to demonetization. They went abroad and continue there. On the other hand, I cannot understand those Russian RUclipsrs who started defaming and slandering their country from abroad. This is their income. Liars and traitors at the same time.

Best example of that on RUclips was FPSRussian, a very major channel run by an American who spoke with a Russian-like accent. I went to Guadalajara when I was 12 years old, for a student exchange. I stayed with a Mexican family there for about 2 months!! Guadalajara was beautiful and the people were very welcoming. I went with the family to see Mexico city, watched a soccer game between Mexico city and Guadalajara......and spent 2 weeks at Lake Chapala; riding horses and lots of swimming!!!! God bless the Mexican people! Love your videos and perspectives/ observations on Russia. My good friend is arriving in Moscow tomorrow.....he is looking forward to meeting with several "RUclipsrs" while there (including "Vasya in the Hay"/ Expat American/ Sam's Russian Adventures" etc).....as well as with others he was referred to by people in his orthodox church here, back in the Usa. He would have considered contacting you and several others out your way (Backyard Russia/ Siberian Freedom/ etc) however, as it's his first visit, he only has so much time!! Russia has been fighting a proxy war with NATO since 2014, when NATO carried out a coup in Ukraine. And since 2014, "lovers of the West" have been used as propagandists. Turkish Airlines are the main carrier nowadays for Russians travelling into Europe via Istanbul. She was stuck in Moscow for a while because her return ticket on a Russian carrier S7 was cancelled due to the EU banning them flying into the EU after the special operation commenced. Once she got her refund from S7, she had to queue outside the Turkish Airlines office for the best part of two days to get a ticket back to Europe via Istanbul. The West's idea of making life difficult for Russian citizens is not going to turn them against their President or their country, it is going to make them more anti-Western. All non-resident Russians in EU countries had their bank accounts closed, what's that all about and they're making it harder for Russian citizens to obtain visas into the EU.
I feel envious of people living in Russia. I have heard well over 50 people shot from my living room since 2020. It's incredible how numb I am because I never feel fear even when it's really close to my house. I notice Russia is very clean in almost everything I see in Russia I don't see garbage on the ground. I am so tired of all the identity politics. Putin seems very rational and because I pay much attention to Russia, Putin, Ukraine since 2014 and the western backed coup ousting Ukraine elected President I see how much our media lies. I know every country has propaganda but I think Americans must be the most propagandized people in the world.
It is crazy. A friend of mine wanted to visit his wife's family in Archangelske. He was afraid that they would not be able to get back to Europe. But all the fears did not come true. They had a nice Christmas I'm Russia and Babushka and Dedushka saw their grandchild.

I tried to make an appointment for next Friday but there were no slots available. Also, they expect a hotel on the application but how do I book when I don’t even have the visa yet? I follow sanctioned ivan channel,which is entertaining and i have nothing against him but some of the stuff he comes out with is just stupid. As an example im from Ireland where he lived for 11 years , i currently live and work in England because i cant afford to live in my own country due to house prices. Sanctioned ivan complains about the cost of living in Russia without comparing it to the west , like he will complain that the average income is 500 us dollars and rent is 200 dollars, well guess what in the republic of Ireland as a middle class professional you earn 2000 euro after tax but your rent is 2200 euro , you either live with parents or in a tent .
if Ivan lived outside of Russia for a long time, he probably not in the list of Army reservers, which means he is even a bigger lyer. Nobody in Russia ever though that mobilisation will happen in 21th century, as a result Army reserve accounting were made in papers and using 30 years old flows. When you move to another city in Russia, you have to go and notify army about your new location. And if you does not - there is no fine and nobody cares. When mobilization started it revealed a huge amount of issues that Army and goverment started to solve. One of it - adding a fine for not notifying army about your move, so I remembered that I did not do it in 2018 and made a request online. Goverment site told me I should await for a call, but I did not received any - probably because I never was in the army and I am too old (40y), so nobody needs me.

I even watched a recent one where he visits a Cadillac dealership and wen the security came to ask him to stop filming, he quoted the constitutionOfRussia as giving him the right, and it was funny. There are still problems with arriving and leaving Russia, because there are no direct flights from NATO countries and satellites, so you have to fly with transfers.

To be fair, a lot of people were escaping from mobilization. Even now when you leave the country they check on the border if you were drafted. And the thing is sometimes you don't know if you were drafted or not. They can put your name in the registry without notifying you.
I can tell you that it's not very easy to sign a contract right now, there's a decent selection process. I went to the military enlistment office myself, and they refused me.

All that videos make you think that nobody can leave, but it is not true. 3 facts from my life: 1. I am working in IT company with ~100 employees. Our boss payed for 24*7 lawers support during mobilisation to save stuff, but nobody needed it, because nobody mobilised. 2. One of my far kinsmans were summonned, but he had an issue with veins in his legs, so he was released from gathering point because he did not pass health check. 3. I don't know any other people summoned in the army. I understand that I know not so many people to provide a statistics, so it is my simple opinion from 40y old IT programmer. I used to hear about summonned people from my friends and fellows, but I did not know them directly. So for me it is just a story. Scary story of course.
IT workers in most probably big cities are not target number 1. Open you eyes please. Watch rural areas where the majority was picked up. I would have thought a 40y old IT programmer is somehow educated and not so naiv

1. one of that story tellers is a woman 2. the only real way to escape from mobilization was to leave Russia in 3-4 days after mobilization start. After that, border control officers received a list of mobilized people. Which means, all men who escaped not in the first week are just a lyers, because they did not escape, they normally left Russia.

Russia has been fighting a proxy war with NATO since 2014, when NATO carried out a coup in Ukraine. And since 2014, "lovers of the West" have been used as propagandists. They receive grants from American and European foundations and create custom content in which they lie about Russia on behalf of a "Russian."
In 2022, all men were banned from leaving Ukraine, now they are being grabbed on the street and sent to the front without preparation. The Europeans were shocked when they saw this, as it does not look like a "democracy". NATO has launched a psychological attack on Russia, paying a lot of money and threatening to freeze the assets of rich Russians in world banks so that they overthrow Putin. It didn't work out. Then they began to carry out other psychological attacks. And one of these attacks was related to mobilization. The "lovers of the West" who fled the country began to convince everyone that "the border will be closed soon and there will be general mobilization." Many got scared and left the country. Almost a million people left Russia in a month. But even after that, Russia did not close the border, and the mobilization was only 300,000 reservists who took special courses after military service.
And that was more than a year ago. But in Ukraine, they continue to grab people and take them to the front, so propagandists "make a substitution." They don't show Ukraine, but everything that happens there is "shifted to Russia." Europeans and Americans easily believe this, as Russia and Putin have been demonized for many years.

Turkish Airlines are the main carrier nowadays for Russians travelling into Europe via Istanbul. She was stuck in Moscow for a while because her return ticket on a Russian carrier S7 was cancelled due to the EU banning them flying into the EU after the special operation commenced.
Once she got her refund from S7, she had to queue outside the Turkish Airlines office for the best part of two days to get a ticket back to Europe via Istanbul.
The West's idea of making life difficult for Russian citizens is not going to turn them against their President or their country, it is going to make them more anti-Western.

I have escaped Russia twice. Escaping from the US is much more difficult.
After I get residency sorted, I won't have to "escape" Russia again.
I feel envious of people living in Russia. I have heard well over 50 people shot from my living room since 2020. It's incredible how numb I am because I never feel fear even when it's really close to my house. I notice Russia is very clean in almost everything I see in Russia I don't see garbage on the ground. I am so tired of all the identity politics. Nobody in Russia ever though that mobilisation will happen in 21th century, as a result Army reserve accounting were made in papers and using 30 years old flows. When you move to another city in Russia, you have to go and notify army about your new location. And if you does not - there is no fine and nobody cares.
When mobilization started it revealed a huge amount of issues that Army and goverment started to solve. One of it - adding a fine for not notifying army about your move, so I remembered that I did not do it in 2018 and made a request online. Goverment site told me I should await for a call, but I did not received any - probably because I never was in the army and I am too old (40y), so nobody needs me.

I even watched a recent one where he visits a Cadillac dealership and wen the security came to ask him to stop filming, he quoted the constitutionOfRussia as giving him the right, and it was funny. To be fair, a lot of people were escaping from mobilization. Even now when you leave the country they check on the border if you were drafted. And the thing is sometimes you don't know if you were drafted or not. They can put your name in the registry without notifying you.

All that videos make you think that nobody can leave, but it is not true. 3 facts from my life:
1. I am working in IT company with ~100 employees. Our boss payed for 24*7 lawers support during mobilisation to save stuff, but nobody needed it, because nobody mobilised.
2. One of my far kinsmans were summonned, but he had an issue with veins in his legs, so he was released from gathering point because he did not pass health check.
3. I don't know any other people summoned in the army. I understand that I know not so many people to provide a statistics, so it is my simple opinion from 40y old IT programmer. I used to hear about summonned people from my friends and fellows, but I did not know them directly. So for me it is just a story. Scary story of course.
IT workers in most probably big cities are not target number 1. Open you eyes please.
Watch rural areas where the majority was picked up. I would have thought a 40y old IT programmer is somehow educated and not so naiv
