Good comparison Ryan! Should help folks in taking a real serious look before they purchase. Good stuff brother! Hope you and the family had a great 4th!
Boat length determines max speed, all other things being equal. No, you won't be able to go faster than the 12' version. I like the maneuverability under padle, the Unlimited can feel like a barge on smaller rivers, creeks.
I was thinking about the EPS system from Nucanoe if I could shim and trim motor up a bit I know I could get more speed but leaving as is because speed doesn’t really matter that much to me but wanted to get more speed for video. But all and all the U10 is a sweet little boat.
Good video. I think I still want the larger version myself. On another note, did you hear Motorguide discontinued the Xi3? I heard that today from another angler.
I have not heard that about the i3. There has to be another version coming out or another brand making one. But who knows. If they do everyone will go back to what they did before and buy any of them and cut down the shaft. I am going to do another video about the U10 with paddling performance and also which of the 2 I would pick.
It will come. Once Yamaha bought them I am sure things had some issues/changes. The new one is pretty slick. I love the screen to be able to see in the dark etc. I am sure it’s worth the wait. Hang in there.
Hey Ryan buddy how you doing man? I think 5.7 is not bad for it being a 10ft kayak 🛶 man. I know that it's not 6.0 like the big brother is but like you said you Probably have to play with it to see . Maybe being tall could be a problem. But you do need that leg Space . With you sitting up close is it uncomfortable like that especially when you are barefooted 👣 a lot ? Cuz i do understand being tall because I am right there with you too same Height just Different sz feet 🦶 which i wish I was your sz. I enjoyed watching this video buddy. Happy 4th of July to you and your family man & be safe out there brother.
It was not uncomfortable to sit where I was sitting. It was the steering pedal was not in the right place. Besides that I still love the smaller version. You have a good 4th as well.
I have 6,2 bed in my truck , welding by trades , made my own tail gate extension, in put my nucanoe unlimited in it , no problem transport from southeastern mich into north mich.yak attack cart is the only way too go life time warranty, yak attack 😀 not cheap most uas made , stand behide the veterans just like nucanoe
I’m 6’5” 320. Looking to buy my first Nucanoe. Should I stick to the 12’ unlimited or you think the U10 would be ok? I’ll add that I want to add a 2.5hp outboard.
Thank you Ryan for testing your kayaks speed very informative and helping me make some tough decisions! Tight lines sir!
No problem. That is why I am here. To help best as I can with what I have. Catch you soon.

Shorter kayaks will always be slower than longer kayaks.
Yes but I should be able to get this one faster. It's because of the Nucanoe EPS setup and how it's trimmed. We are working on a shim setup for it.

Can't even get a Torqeedo right now. The 1103 is no longer in production. I've had the new replacement on order for 3 months eta is late Aug.

Where is it made?

Go with the Unlimited for the extra 200 dollars. I am going to do a recap video here in about a month and explain what version I like better.
@@rjmfishtales thank you
No problem
