Do you agree with Dr. Esolen’s idea that even our moral problems are problems on the imagination? Let me know why or why not in the comments below. This is extended version of the lecture teased in last week’s video. I got to re-live some nice memories while setting it to my footage from London; I hope you enjoy it too. If you find this video insightful, then please give it a like and share it to help Dr. Esolen’s message reach more ears! Until next next, -Evan
Religion is an imagination. We live in a new era of female emotions created by feminism. They used the biological factor of protective men, to emotionally involve taking away their reason. The Catholic Church did a good job of implanting Marianism, making men vassals of the feminine will.
That's the problem, mass. We are tribal creatures but when you know the problems of billions it's overwhelming and leads to madness, sociopathy and isolationism, stick to caring for those you can actually help. and if we all do this, well...
@@RewiretheWest my sense for beauty, art, ect. I think it died at some point right after graduating high school a few years ago. There wasn’t an exact moment. It was a death by 1000 cuts.
@@dwightk.schruteiii8454 Death by 1000 cuts sounds about right. Because they don't just come out and tell you they're trying to destroy beauty, rather they systematically discredit and undermine the notion of it at every chance they get. Yes, institutional slavery, nazi government, bombings and murders in my home city (belfast) are things of the past, the only direction is up, we just need fortitude and friends
We humans are all evil and deserve to go to hell, but there is eternal redemption for those of us who believe in Jesus Christ the Lord, for our debt towards divine justice has already been paid in full. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” “for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” The Lord Jesus said: “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
I don't think anyone is expecting to see a 180 degree turn-around overnight, but I do believe it's within the realm of possibility to start seeing pockets of society emerging which operate under a different set of cultural imperatives. The task of bringing those about begins with us, both in becoming the people who are capable of bringing those cultural oases to life, and also in seeking out and teaming up with those who are able to accompany us on that journey.

Our culture has fallen, it has proved weak and unviable.
It's not worth to be redeemed.
Is it not worth creating pockets of refuge for people to turn to? Communities of oasis in a barren desert of a culture?

Does anyone here honestly think that things are redeemable at this point?

Maybe, if the West figures out a way to stop electing clowns, gameshow hosts, and geriatric old fools as heads of state.
