Hi never travelled to Riga , great video , Sweden is member of the Schengen and so is Latvia so things its open borders , no border controls

Gosh, Paul i really had to get my head around this Riga Latvian Hotel, which was not easy as you can imagine. Frozen in time is probably an understatement. There was something definitely quirky about this hotel. Having said that i just don't think it had a great deal of appeal for me. The weather was foul as you witnessed which must have been hell. And walking around at night was not ideal Paul. You looked quite tired at times, but that probably was not surprising with the rotten weather. Price wise. Yes i think the quote of £51.83p with the added tax was reasonable, but its not for me Paul. Take care.

I stayed here when I went to Riga, a shade over £40 for a Sunday night. Old fashioned but clean, Breakfast not the greatest though.

Hiya, you visit some very fascinating places thank you for these videos! It's very concerning there's no passport checks considering the aviation authorities have to constantly stay one step ahead of terrorist plots. I would stay in the hotel it has a charm and I can hear Vincent Price's maniacal laughter echoing the halls 😂 Best to have company out and about given how deserted it is. I still have a stereo nothing like playing your own precious records. You didn't paint a pretty picture about the brekkie but the bath is good especially with Radox 🛁 Good price. I'm a very quiet person but when it comes to writing I find it hard to shut up 😊
Hi apparently since the video was made I've been told that between certain countries borders checks you don't need to show passports, don't really understand why, I have stayed at that hotel twice and think its full of charm, glad your enjoying the videos
@@whoknowswhere Hi this has piqued my interest and I love research ☺️ After googling I found this 'Schengen ID-free travel zone guarantees free movement to more than 400million EU nationals any person can travel between Schengen countries without going through border checks, passport checks but airlines etc can carry out police checks you might also be required to show ID on trains, ferries etc ' I saw something about this being the case for UK citizens until 2025 but couldn't find it again so didn't get an in depth or correct overview. This definitely allayed my concerns though. Thanks Paul ❤️ x
