the things that attract me to any stitching is the colors, border, words/quotes, and overall design. Love all your projects and its good to see you again!
No, nuh uh. You are NOT tearing out that border, sweet lady, you are going to fudge another half stitch and move on along! Okay, okay, do what you need to but I know that I personally don't mind a border....except when it comes to strawberry borders. I don't know how many strawberry borders I have in me to stitch in my lifetime. And you're going to redo it just for a half stitch? I know you are big brained enough to tweek it so nothing else if off. Enough stitchy ranting. What beautiful work and I'm very thankful to have that dmc conversion should I ever be able to stitch her. I love that fabric and find that I have been all about the yellows for the past year with no waining. Wondering if I'm picking up on a yellow trend? Anyhow, great content and thanks for showing all these wonderful lovelies!
I love Mary Ann Copp!! These a beautiful girl!!!.You have been missed!! I'm so sorry that you have been sick. Relieved that you are soo much better now! Take care of yourself! I will be waiting for your return!! See you next time!!! 😊❤❤ Barbara S.
It was good to see you back I always enjoy seeing your beautiful stitching. I’m sorry that you’re dealing with a health struggle but glad you’re feeling so much better and that you have a diagnosis. I appreciate the information you shared about the disease. Happy Stitching!
So glad you are feeling better Sharon. I know how active you are and to be sick had to have been awful. Thanks for all you do I love both your podcasts. I'll keep you in my prayers.
You made my day! I’ve been checking your RUclips for an update and there you were! So glad you are on the road to recovery! Mary Ann Copp has been on my radar… love your choice of fabric! Stay well… and stitch something beautiful! 😊
I am a Markup R XP stitcher. Happy to meet another. I have no idea how anyone stitches from a paper chart. Love your videos, always learn something new.
Your stand up finishes are beautiful. What amazing colors on your sampler -Congratulations on its finish. Sorry to hear about your health issues and glad you have a diagnosis and treatment.
You’ve gotten so much done! I’ve been monogamous with a peacock a unicorn a badger so I feel like I’ve done so little! I love watching your videos for ideas of what to stitch next. ❤
Hi from North Georgia. I was stitching Maria Ewin from Hands Across the Sea while I watched you. The fabric is LFA 16 count Schooner. It is my second sampler on Schooner. I was in their Aida club for a year. I have a piece of Low Tide which is similar. I use my dmc thread card almost daily. It looks a little raggedy from wear and tear. I regularly change the colors. One of the best things I did for me was buy the dmc box with all the colors. I have the whole collection of Sulky too but I prefer dmc. Thank you for the Mary Copp conversion. I like the colors too. I’ve been trying to find a sampler with colors I like because I’m stitching two reproductions that were charted based on the faded fronts. I will pull the floss from my dmc box to see where I can use them. One of the samplers is Maria Ewin. I’ve been putting off the flowers in the border because I want to change most of the. I’ve already printed your list so I’ll probably start on it tonight. Well, I’m a person who doesn’t like houses. I am attracted to symmetry and color. I like to stitch quirky people. Probably the quirkiest I have as a wip is Fraktur Friends by Shakespeare’s Peddler. I just finished Cotswolds Fields by Teresa Kogut. It has a lot of animals but I added a man and woman. Again, no house. I was wondering where you’ve been. I’ll go to your Instagram to get the details. I’m Selfish Stitcher over there.
You’re finished are beautiful!!! And WOW look at that Mary Morgan💜💜💜💜 the house scene on the give away piece reminds me of the pride and prejudice estate from the 90’s movie the very best one!!!! I love that movie and have all of Jane Austen’s completed works in a leather bound set! Glad you are feeling better and really look forward to seeing progress on your next video😊
Thank you for the great video. Your slow and easy style of presentation is very enjoyable. Like you, I enjoy fill in stitching. I like how it looks and I like the process. I am currently stitching And Heaven and Nature Sing. That gigantic deer is all fill in…loving the process! It is good to hear that you are well again.😊
Your Mary Morgan turned out so beautiful!I I wish that I could pinpoint exactly what draws me to a certain sampler/pattern but I do notice that beautiful florals are a constant design element in all of my samplers.
So happy to see video from you again. You have been missed. I also love orange! So much so that I drive an orange jeep. I never lose my car in a parking lot...lol
It sounds like you are getting better. It's tough to get enthused about things when you are unwell. Your two FFOs are stunning. Beautiful wips. I'm not sure what draws me to pieces. I like so many things! I'm not fond of stitching huge houses and tons of wording. I like samplers with beautiful borders, flowers, animals, and still life scenes. I like to do beading and specialty stitches. I love to stitch on BAPs but need smalls for a quick finish. Your DMC conversion is very well done. I use the DMC color chart a lot. Have a wonderful week of stitching and just enjoying life. ❤
Thanks Judy! I'm not a fan of too much wording either. I find it hard to tear myself away from BAPs to stitch on smalls, but I can always try! You have a great week too.
Love your two FFO standups, they each look absolutely beautiful! Sorry to hear about your recent health challenges, but good to know that it can be managed with proper monitoring and meds. For your theme question, I first have to love the overall look of a design, and then I have to figure out if I’ll want to stitch it, or just appreciate its beauty, lol. And, I might add, my tastes change over time, so there’s no set rule of what I stitch. More than anything else, a design has to call to me.
When I saw your All Hallow's Eve Sampler last year I fell in love with that chart & the fabric you stitched it on. So I bought both. I haven't had time to start it yet because I was working on Teresa Kogut's Hello Halloween Sampler, which I just finished. I sent you a photo via your email. I plan to do the All Hallow's Eve Sampler as my main Halloween stitch for 2024.
Glad you are feeling better and received a definite diagnosis. I like stitiching roosters/chickens for a wall collection in my kitchen and samplers with houses for our guest bathroom. Otherwise, I like designs that are more complicated, Long Dog Samplers, Ink Circles, Fox and Rabbit and french samplers. I don't do seasonal work like Halloween or Christmas, so most of my proects are big!
Love, love, love Mary Morgan. I had to put your video on pause and go purchase Mary Morgan and Murky linen. I’m so glad you are getting better. I have Covid again too.
So glad to see you back on floss tube. What a health scare!! Not knowing what is wrong is almost worse than dealing with the issue. Was it difficult to stitch on the darker fabric you used for Mary Morgans?
I don't particularly like stitching houses....but I absolutely refuse to stitch the alphabet! BORRRRRING I like a lot of Halloween stuff. I like quirkiness. I like museum pieces. I'm not that crazy about samplers except for band samplers, which I love. I've done a lot of Victoria Sampler skinny band samplers. I'm currently working on the Holland Springtime chatelaine. I won't do another chatelaine but I am crazy about the Netherlands. I like spot motif pieces, but after doing a large one I doubt I'll do that again. I like morbid poetry that has been stitched up. There's something so inherently goofy about combining the process of stitching, a rather cozy domestic activity, with dark poetry that cracks me up.
Hope you feel better, Sharon! Love the Mary chart! Keep stitching!

Mary Morgan looks amazing!!! Glad to see you back. I just finish part of the border.
Wishing you good health moving forward! You do such beautiful work. Your sampler on the murky linen is just stunning! Can’t wait to see it framed.
