The music makes me emotional.....my childhood Has gone and i am old now...
The music is neither happy nor sad. It's calming, comforting and reflective. Simply beautiful.
Richard Dawson made a good BAD guy. I loved it when Arnold said I'll be back and Dawson replied "Only in a Rerun" classic!
Gee purrs agree. Always loved that line. What I didn’t know until recently was that Richard Dawson was an actual game show host at the time.
I still think "Now that's entertainment!" is a better punch line at the end for Arnold Schwarznegger instead of "That hit the spot!" when Damon Killian goes through the billboard because it would be a fitting end to a sadistic game show host.
Richard Dawson was actually a host for Family Feud. The funny thing was there seemed to be a lot of complaints about him from women watching him on tv. He would literally kiss the same woman/ women multiple times in one episode.
Dawson was well known from "Hogan's heroes".
@@DannyBGer Hogan's Heroes was a great show. The Sundance Channel shows episodes on Saturdays and Mondays.
Jesse Ventura was part of the Navy seals under water demolition team for a short period of time during the Vietnam era , he never saw combat but still an awesome achievement.
And pro wrestler as Jessie " The Body" Ventura before getting into politics.
Ventura even acted in "Predator" with Arnie.
Fun fact.
First time Arnie said “I’ll be back” was in this movie. 👍
It was Terminator.
@@mikeg.3688 it was.
Erland Van Lidth had such a great voice, his singing in the film Stir Crazy is very moving... heartbreaking how young he died 😥
Actually it wasn't him singing in stir crazy. He was a great singer but he had larengitis at the time and he was gutted that someone else has to sing it in stir crazy.
You will find that info online somewhere but that wasn't his voice.
P.s I am sure I originally read about this somewhere on imdb. A few years ago...
@@zombeat7376 imdb. "What you do instead of things."
Great movies back in the 80s headed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Think they were headed by Michael j fox aswell
It's not a tumor...it's how I tawk !!!!
Yes,yes,yes,yes and yes.
The 80s to the mid 90s had so many great movies. Going to the drive in or theater or going to the video rentals was the best. Who would've guess things would turn out to be like it is today. Now all that is left is the wishing to go back and do it all over again
It’s so crazy I can’t watch any new movies. The 80’s and 90’s were a golden era and we didn’t realize it until now.
Don't squander your youth, folks. All these actors are immortalized in film. If you're an actor, good for you! If not, make your stamp on society. Your youth will pass quickly.
"Here is sub-zero. Now, plain-zero." So many one liners lol
Hilarious 🤣🤣
Enjoy watching these videos. Strange how time slips away so fast.
Way to fast.
@P Nis SHUT UP YOU FUCKIN WANK
@P Nis Why does there always to be at least one Lefty twat with his head rammed firmly up his sphincter?!
Just wait until you get a bit older, you'll be amazed how quickly time passes.
AHHH the days when you’d go to The Local Video store and it’d be FILLED with GREAT movies like these❤️ Those days ARE LOOOONNNGGGGH GONE 😢 Thanks for the Video 🙏 Well done👏👏👏
Yep, Friday night meant a trip down to blockbuster. Was essential if it was a Bank Holiday weekend or the start of the summer holidays
Visiting the local video store on a Friday or Saturday night was such a classic family outing in the 80s and 90s. It wasn't just about hiring a movie, there was also the social element where you'd see friends from your neighborhood and have a chat as well. Nowadays, everyone stays home streaming everything and staring at their phone. It really is insane to think about how much life has changed.
Rest in peace Kotto.
"Hey Killian, here's Sub-Zero! Now he's just plain zero!"
"My gasline, my gasline. God have mercy".
"How about a light?"
BOOOM
"What a hothead".
🤣🤣🤣
I would see so many good movies in 1987.
Wall Street
Beverly Hills Cop 2
Predator
Untouchables
Robocop
Running Man
Stakeout
Dirty Dancing
Living Daylights
Lethal Weapon
Fatal Attraction
The Secret of My Success
Today I would be lucky if I saw one good movie at the theaters. I miss being young and having fun.
what a great cast in this too. arnold , jim brown , jesse ventura , richard dawson , yaphet kotto. mick fleetwood , sven ole thorson, maria conchita alonso
RIP yaphet kotto from Alien to James Bond and The running man, you’ll be greatly missed.
I'm surprised how Elrand van Lidth died in the same year Running man was relased, Rest in Peace.
Dey Young, just as gorgeous at 31 and at 64. Wow!
when I was 20 I went to discos. I had a white suit. people thought I was John Travolta with my flowing Italian long locks, chicks dug me. Now at 63 I shave my head because it’s all white and not much. The other day I saw a picture of John Travolta and now he shaves his head, So I realized I still look like John Travolta.
They should've made a 30min Captain Freedoms workout video.
This is one of Arnold's hidden gems.
Agreed, I feel it didn't get the recognition it deserved. It's classic 80s Arnold 😃
I generally don't pay much attention to directors. I'm happy to know this was directed by Paul Michael Glaser. I've loved him since Starsky and Hutch.
Time waits for no one. Life is short so enjoy it and make the most of it before it’s over.
What a film!!!
I think i will remember this haunting sound track as i lie on my death bed
Thanks for this trip down memory lane. I appreciate it.
Your videos are amazing! I get goosebumps and teary eyed every time I watch one. Thank you.❤️

Ditto's, I think of my dog too.
I loved that movie. Even the closing credits were great. "Write to Contestants...then go out and do something despicable." Priceless.
Great Film, Arnold, Maria conchita, Tanaka (Rip), Jesse, Lerner and the others good actors... showtimeee, good for watch again
Movies from 80s are the best,it is a great pity that we no longer have such films.. Arnold is brilliant as always.
I am so happy that you chose The Running Man, great work! Keep goin’ ✌🏼🤍
I've missed your vids... and the music. So glad they are back... with *the* music. 😊🎶🎵🎶
Sven still looks like a bad-ass! These then and now videos make you realise how fast time flies.

The picture of Jim Brown at 3:54. Can't you just see that he must be somebody's well-loved grandpa?
Ben Richards, the Butcher of Bakersfield
Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I still watch this movie from time to time and have wondered if the actors were still alive.
This movie is a fun classic.
Good Morning!!! I am from a small rural town, in the interior of Brazil, and I am part of the channel, why did you stop?? Come back, your videos bring memories of good times they never came back!!!
Early Sunday morning, fresh cup 'o Joe and a new World Review.....priceless.
this video hit the spot.
Mick Fleetwood looked 73 in 1987 and still looks 73 in 2020.
That's what i'm saying, im 40 and there is no way in hell I look remotely close to that. I don't see how he was 39 in 87.
i thought it was make up, but he has exactly the same lines, just not as deep ;-)
3:10 didn't know that Cher was playing in the movie LOL!!!!
This the best stuff 80s was cool. I am glad that I catched some of the moments from the end of 80's in my memory
Dey Young is still beautiful
the music is timeless, love the videos, lets enjoy growing old together
This is one of arnies best movies I reckon and its very underrated 👍 how about doing a video on another very underrated 80s classic st elmos fire 🔥
6:29 Wow ! He hasn’t aged
Hahaha 😂
Flubber Lane Oh yes, afraid so!
Yes he looks old back then lol
@@oddsandwindsocks5905 drugs will do that lol
Amazing work sir/ma’am. Thank you
Thank you too!
Amazing, great cast
Ok I gotta watch this again...right now. Venturas exercise video in it is hilarious. Among other parts.
epic thx you world review
In the future it will still look like the 80s.
The 1987 Stephen King photo he looks like a demented Clark Kent..
RIP to all who have died
Paul Michael glazier? I didn't know that! Wow 33 years now it just can't be phew!
This is one of my favorite " Ah-nuld" movies
He is synonymous great bad 80's movies then there Sly,Chuck,Reb Brown.
RIP YAPHET KOTTO
That was an awesome before and after.
Time kicks our ass. 😔😕
I ll be back, great self citation
Recorded this from Laser Disc to S-VHS. I was reveling in my accomplishment on getting such a quality VHS recording.
How long before society gets a real running man programme?
Yeah, like being forced to face buzzsaw for not wearing a mask. Lol
The days of video cassettes 😢
I wonder if Ken Lerner still has that Pen hole in his back from Arnie signing the contract...
Lol. I wondered if he sent Arnold a copy of the contract as he had requested.
Time is fleeing and the only measurement in our lives
Karen Hargis Did you mean ‘ fleeting ‘?
RIP Yaphet Kotto
Rip Yaphet Kotto and Toru Tanaka
Mick Fleetwood looks the same 🤣
Mick Fleetwood was 39 in 1987, holy shit he looked about 60!
That was makeup made to make him look old
@@andrewjoyce9038 Said makeup certainly did the job!!
Great video about a great film. A film from my childhood! I always wonder about all the extras in that film. Who were they? Where were they from and how did they get on the set?
What happened to buzz saw? Ahhh, he had to split....🙃🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me gusta y me suscribo, aquí te conocí, buen trabajo, saludos desde Paraguay ! 👍
wow i got tears in my eyes its like watching my life go bye😢
wow great movie ill remember renting top flick video he make alot
movie in the 80s and 90s and on
Mic Fleetwood looks younger now...
Legendary movie
Dey wow 😁!
👍 🎥 with a 👍 well written script !
I'm really having a hard time in believing that Mick Fleetwood was just 39 with that look...
he was obviously made to look like an older man. he didn't look like that in the 80s. he still doesn't...
Paul Michael Glaser --- Director ????.... thats news to me, I recall him being the original Starsky...
He is original Starsky. Not Ben Stiller parody version.
The eighties were awesome with Schwarzenegger and Murphy
Nice guy
Uno tra i migliori film degli anni 80, sono riuscito da poco a trovare il blu ray, rarissimo.
Mick fletwood looks better now than he did 33 years ago and Dey Young has hardly aged at all, the hell is going on here?? 🧐
Dey is still gorgeous!
They used makeup and facial prosthetics to allow him to portray a much older man
Jessie Ventura President 2020
wtf? Mick Fleetwood looked 73 before he was 73! He looks younger than he did when he was 39!
I think this was make up
Who loves you and who do you LOVEEEE !!
