No remake can ever replace this classic. Paul Verhoeven is a genius!!
The original RoboCop is one of the greatest sci fi pics ever made - much better than the sequels. It was exciting, funny, poignant and just flat out awesome. Great film.
disagree... latest installment is DOPE... ima get it HDR wise
@@NotXboxiie The newer one lacks the humor and made the world much darker overall. It gives Robocop more of his humanity in appearance, but removes a lot of his bad-ass attitude and humor. Newer ones could be much worse, sure, but I'm not sure I'd consider them better in terms of writing.
The fist and second parts were super, but then we see another robocop, not so good in terms of writing.
Robocop 2 is still elgit
100% Agree. First was the best by faaaaaaar.
Robocop. One of the most important sci-fi movie of all time.
This movie is a MASTERPIECE.
It is👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Oh you are so right my number 1 action movie👌
Absolutely true!
And i am serious when i say this. Robocop is like the "Citizen Kane" movie for me, when it comes to Superhero action movies. Nothing can really beating it. From the acting, to the action scenes, to the effects (Blood squid), to the storyline, and soo much more. Just gets better with age.
Betul ki sanak
Man, Peter Weller nailed this film! He *IS* Robocop.
The only Robocop!
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar oh yes indeed!
I always loved his lips 😍
Dead or alive, you're coming with me!!
Indeed he is
Teary eyes , nostalgia for my magical 80s . My eyes started to water when Peter Weller appeared . I'm so thankful to the Universe for being born is the 60s .
Peter Weller was made to Robocop just like Christopher Reeve to Superman and Michael Keaton to Batman! 👍
@Evan Koch that's ur Batman lol, mine is Keaton
Totalmente de acuerdo compa👍🏽
@@victorcisneros.1196 Peter Weller es la original! el primero Robocop! El es mejor! 👍
Chris Prat as starlord and Ryan Renolds as deadpool
Keaton & Bale were on par for me as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Tim Burton said at the time that he deliberately avoided 'bigger guys' because they could just put a ski mask on and kick the crap out of villains. He wanted Keaton, because apart from working previously, Burton wanted his Batman to be more believable as a normal guy. Or words to that effect, the interview was over 30 years ago, so my memory is a little rusty lol.
I remember going to see this at the cinema with my pals, I was 17. Seems like yesterday.
Yeah, I’m reliving my youth as well.
You are very lucky to watch this gem in the movies I wish I had your luck to watch other greats like Terminator 1/2, Indiana 1/3, Predator I like the second movie too or Star Wars the first and great and better of all trilogy... Those were the day's awesome movies and now we have crappy sequels - prequels and bad movies. I am 40 I have seen al lof these movies but not in cinema...!!!! 😪
i was 16 brings back memories
I was 17 too! Really brought make memories. One of my favourite movies ever! The remake in 2014 or 2015 I think, was total shit!
Richard me too
Ohhhhh guys I went back in memory more than 30 years ago , this movie was my favorite I've watched it on VHS like a 1000 times
Always loved the Robocop movies. Glad to se most of the actors are still doing well. Rip to the ones that didnt make it to 2020.
it's a typical Paul Verhoeven movie : it's a US social satire, just like Starship Troopers was. Both sublime movies !
Good memories of a bygone era... this short video reminds us how fleeting life is and how time passes inexorably. Enjoy life to the fullest as long as you can!
Every movie in the 80s is timeless, never gets old, ppl who didnt lived in the 80s missed out a lot
Very true .
💚💚💚💚
The best tribute from the actors and actresses of a film that marked my adolescence, the best film I watched, thank you all!
One of the best films of the 80s...
There is just something ineffably sad about the passage of time, 1987 is a world that will never be again.
If it can be... hoping:)
Let's stop nostalgy thoughts)
It ended in 1988. That's a little levity. Seriously though, the world changes every time someone is born or dies.
Very well said. Pretty much what I was feeling as I watched.
movies I'm interested in...
Nancy aged gracefully. Holy she’s beautiful.
Yeah she looks great
As did Leeza Gibbons.
she has
Sure she is beautiful
She did age gracefully
I always liked this film and R.I.P. to those we've lost...
Everybody aged well, but Peter Weller. Nancy allen is now a Beautiful grandma!
I saw this movie when i was 7 (1987),
at a time when most of whom I liked and most of my family were alive... Today i have 40 and since 2016 (in my 36 years old), now, my wife is my only family...
Time passes ferociously fast and with these memories, today, you made me cry...
Yes brother. Time passes fast. Thar is why we must first of all try to lead a life in Christ and secondly spend most of our time with our loved ones. Take care.
I'm sorry for your losses
I was 7 as well in 1987. Yeah...Time passes so fast. And I'm sorry to hear that about your family!!
Eu também tinha 7.
U lost ur family but im now 39 and my family still alive but they r bad family
This is one of my favorite films, one I will watch anytime, anywhere. A great cast, excellently written and deftly directed with just the precise amount of cheese. And what's not to love about ED 209, Bob Morton and Clarence Boddiker as villains? A great film. Thanks for the video.
I loved Robocop, We sure could use him today.
“Bitches leave”
My favourite line (no pun intended) of the movie.
And "I'd buy that for a dollar"??
Yeah, this movie had such memorable and funny lines, and also I liked "I"ll buy that for a dollar!"Hahahahahahahahah...
I'm cashing you out, Bob!
"Your move, creep"
DROP IT!!!
I've seen Robo-Cop over 50 times, it was doubled with Cherry 2000 in Cinema, back when movies was two shows for the price of one. I can play this whole movie in my head from beginning to end, I was 13 years old in 1987.
Such is life.
I will share this with you guys. Robocop and Predator was and are still my favourite movies of my childhood. I was only 13 years old when this awesome film came out and the world was a much better place to live in the uk but you could feel a new age coming in technology.
I remember asking my mum if i could go to town on Saturday to the cinema with my friend, expecting a stern NO, strangely she said yes and gave me £5. i remember back then it was a lot of money for a kid may be £20 in todays money. I could get bus there and back, lunch and film ticket. I felt so independent. I rang my friend (House phone remember) and his mum said he could go as well. We checked the papers and saw Short Circuit was on so we took the bus into town. When we got to the cinema we had a huge queue to wait in for about 35 mins that went out of the building down the side of the building, as we got to near the front there was movie posters up of what was playing and i saw the Robocop poster. Wow. Looking at that next to the shitty old short circuit i didn't want to see SC anymore but this fantastic looking Robocop movie. there was a big problem tho as the film was either a 15 or 18 cert at the time and we were young looking kids & would def be rejected on age. I had a plan, we brought the SC tickets and a drink, watched the film. Hung about until the screening of Robocop was over in the next screen room, waited for the usher to move from the door and sneaked in at the back when the next batch of people went in, i even remember looking at the door from the back watching to see the usher and diving behind the seats when he looked in, my friend was not used to covert mischief and thought if we got caught the police would be called LOL. It was the Best film i could have wished to see, my friend was terrified and looked like he had PTSD after it lol. Did the same with Predator too a few week later. Still have love for The Robocop films even the sequel was good with Kane and the kid with the Nuke. It died on its arse with 3 which is a real shame. But the art and vison of Paul Verhoeven were truly magical and raw. The black comedy was a great touch in these films broke the violence up a bit. Its wonderful to see nearly everybody is still well and looking amazing. They have aged very well.
I remember Nancy Allen starred in Carrie, and that was back in the 70's. Definitely got the elixir of youth.
The music gives me a sad reminder that we are all going to get old and eventually die. I want to live forever young or have the ability to relive so many precious moments
I was just thinking the same thing. That was obviously the intention of the video.
LOL!!
Me too
So sad bro
Allah is ours creator.
bentan bent Allahu Akbar!!! 👏
Really well done. Loved that honorable, celebratory music when showing then and now. Salute to all these greats that gave us such a memorable movie. Nice to see that a lot of them are still with us and have lived long lives. Rest in peace to those who are no longer with us.
I just bought the unrated director's cut of this movie on bluray last weekend at dollar tree. "I'd buy that for a dollar!"
Yeah, good for you I have it to.....t like great movie love it.
that old movie sure can buy that a dollar mine didn't cost a dollar cost dollar
😂😂
"I'd buy THAT for a dollar" best catch phrase ever!
Thank you for uploading this! One of my favourite movie in my teens. Brings back memories and tears.
Btw Nancy was gorgeous baby face she is still looking good at her age not bad at all...🤩
WoW! Nostalgic. I was 8 years old when this came out
Missing the "I'd buy that for a dollar" guy...
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk you right!!!
Bixby Snyder
Shameful display!
If the robot was still around, he'd be rusty, squeaky and needing some oil like the Tin Man. Then there's 33 years of software updates. loading, loading, loading.....
Spare parts for 25 years, who cares if it worked or not?
😂😂😂😊
Still around? It's the future, baby!
But, yeah, there's not a lot of support for 16-bit CPUs these days lol. I like to believe that Robocop had something faster than a Super Nintendo.
Thanks for the commemoration! The movie was really good! Yes time flies unfortunately!
I remember watching this film over and over as a very young kid. Also collected the cards of RoboCop.. Love to go back to those days.
The music is perfect as time marches on!
👍
The music makes me have a tear in my eye really
@@magicvampirelver1321 exactly 😢😢
Thanks to all who contributed to this wonderful movie. R.I.P. to those no longer with us.
Amazing movie of the 80s! RIP to all who have died.
Wish you would make videos more often.I think the music is the best part of your videos. So sad but yet it always brings out everyone in every picture. So hard to explain.
Totally agree. It is hauntingly beautiful.
Thank you for creating this video. It was sad. I did not know that Sgt. Reed had already passed away.
Is was and always will be my favourite film. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thanks for posting.
It hurt seeing that some of them died but this was well put together. Thank you!
Awesome movie, thanks for showing us the before & now photos. R.I.P to all those who have past away!
Isn’t that something, actually sad, that we all have to get old and we will just become a memory. Anyways , this was a really good movie.
I think of this everytime I see Metallica. We've come a long way.
Some of us do something that make us memorable... some of us don't. #dropthemic
yea...i'll buy that for a dollar....hahaha
Idk I kinda like it cause it reminds you to live your life to the fullest and no one really cares what you did when you’re gone so do what you want
like tears in the rain
Still, one of the best films ever!
I’ve been waiting for your next video. Loved it. Always brings tears to my eyes. Thank you.❤️
You are so welcome!
Me too and I'm a crusty old Veteran. The music is calming and memory evoking. The best channel on YT. World Review is awesome!
I´m brazilian and when I was young I love to watch Robocop. A fantastic film. I will share on my face. Thanks
Who "created" Robocop had an "ingenious" mind 🔥..."spectacular" movie with good actors 💯💖
That what's missing, the WRITERS. Ed Neumeier and Michael Minor. They CREATED the characters and world of RoboCop, the actors bright the characters to life, the director managed they're emotions, the director of photography the DP, shootd the images, the logging and effects guys set the mood within each scene, and the set decorators created the writers' vision into a real world setting. And lastly, the executive producers paid for all of this great work and AMAZING.
My mom recorded this for me on vhs when I was a kid. Watched it so much the tape wore out and broke. One of my all time favorites.
this was a great movie, i remember seeing it when i was a small kid in the mid-90's so much gore and profanity, this was a gem. its a shame peter weller aged badly, his portrayal of robocop was darn perfect.
Liked him playing a villain in 24 as an older gentleman though.
I suspect there might be more flattering photos of Peter Weller in 2020 floating around.
RoboCop! A film that marked my life and the 80's!
one of the classics. no cgi
I love the classics so much better than cgi... it was more real back then
Gotta love practical effects unlike today silly CGI.
Super true cause there always amazing but sometimes cg is not bad
Plus this is one of the movies that get practical effects the right stuff
Punk Shark yea your right
Evan Koch that’s what am saying cg isn’t bad it can be great at times
@Evan Koch it needs practical effects + CGI to make things realistic. Movie makers nowadays wanted fast and easy with green screen as much as possible without having to get to various location, prepare all the props and equipments then marked up real high on the costs. Imagine Aliens 1986 with budget of less than $20 million beats Ridley Scott's Prometheus ($130million) & Alien Covenant ($111million)
I love these type of videos, please continue.
This movie is part of my life.
Thank you my friend for preparing this excellent video. What a perfect transition from the film clip to the actor reviews.
Thank you very much!
Awesome work !!!! Thanks You !!!!
Predator RoboCop, Total Recall
Terminator 2
Die Hard, Aliens, Commando, The Thing, Predator, First Blood, Terminator, Lethal Weapon, Tango & Cash, The Running Man, Robocop...
Man, growing up watching movies in the 80s was fucking great!
@@mez7736 best times! How can I turn back the hands of time! 😔
Forgot Big Trouble In Little China thats a very memorable classic movie!!!
@Nabeshin07 I know. Not sure if it's the fact that I grew up during the golden age of action movies that makes me think this way, or that today's efforts are genuinely lacking. Rose-tinted glasses are almost certainly a factor, but at a very base level I don't see an action star in the current era that has the same heft that Arnie / JCVD / Stallone did back in the day. And on top of that, I don't think CGI brings the same level of audience appreciation that in-camera practical effects do.
thanks for the video.
I had a serious crush on Leeza Gibbons back when I was a young pup. She still look good now in 2020😍.
A wonderful tribute. Great work, thank you.
Wow, Nancy Allen looks great even now.
thank you very much, they are my all memory in my child
The song makes me feel so sad
Its meant to trigger a nostalgic reaction.....and it really does.
@@phar2010 well it certainly accomplished that. Made me realise how unstoppable time is.
Yes me the same, time shows to us that no any nice picture, no any achievements makes no sense, and we people just spirit above the life ocean
@@avi8r944 same here... I almost cried
It's actually quite relaxing to me. It tells me to remember that life is better lived like a marathon than a sprint.
I love your videos & the music is great !!!
Thank you so much!
Kurtwood Smith, Lee de Broux, Ray Wise, Felton Perry and perhaps most notably Verhoeven himself haven't changed much since 1987
This was among the first three movies I rented back in the 80's. Feels like a lifetime ago
Wow, Paul McCrane in 2020 must be reliving his character in RoboCop...
Yes before Ironman there was Robocop!
Robocop will eat Iron man for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Who the fuck is iron man here?
Beautiful review.
Never before i prayed so much for number 2020. to appear for every person. :(
That was good. Liked the format of then and now photos 👌👌👌
These guys where all great for this movie but I gotta say..... I’m so scared of growing old. How time flies. Age gracefully people.
One of the best and most shocking and raw sci fi movies ever made everything was perfect!
Some of these actors are younger now than then.I like your work.
The toilet scene where Dick grabs Bob by the hair, anybody noticed he didn't wash his hands after taking a dump? 😆
Paul Verhoeven really showed the Dutch humor and sarcasm in this movie.
Peter weller went to college at unt in denton . He is an art history professor at Syracuse university now .
yup
That’s awesome!

awsome video ....i like this video .thank you for sharing
I can’t accept how old they are now... forever will be young in my mind.
Peter Weller had a perfect face. Loved him in Buckaroo Banzai. MY favorite scene? Paul McCrane melting in radioactive industrial waste.
Hellllpp mmeeee..... AAAH!! Get away from me man!!!
Priceless! 😆
I loved him in First Born; good-looking guy!
this is the one of best of memory movies in my life
Thanks for this movie, Murphy :) :) !!!! Unforgettable
I lost count on how many times I watched this movie.
@Luis Yes certainly is so, watching it now again.
Middle age is 73, 1947 the year when my father is born and he is 73 too. Great movie
"What they call you?....Murphy is it?"
-"My friends call me Murphy.............you call me.......Robocop"
That movie had an epic cast, an awesome director, and an amazing music soundtrack!
I loved that dark futuristic world (said to take place somewhat in 2030) which robocop takes place in. one of my fave movies to this day. but for some reason, even if i don't have any personal relationship to the actors. it brings a wave of melancholy - sadness to see they old and that some died.
one of the best films of the eighties. the remake was nowhere near as good but it was watchable
Great! I was impressed. Thank you very much.
Glad you liked it!
This was done really well without leaving people watching with questions.
This movie would not be forgotten❤️🙏
