Thanks Bun and Steve. This was the day that Kiss did the photoshoot for "Alive II" and took the amazing photo that could possibly be one of the greatest gatefold photos ever.
I saw Cheap Trick 3 days earlier on August 16th 1977 up in San Francisco at the Cow Palace. It was the night Paul Stanley of KISS told all 14,000 in attendance that Elvis Presley had passed away. Great concert and i became a huge fan of CT that night!!!!!!! 👍🎸
I cam imagine a number of headliners back then would catch the double punch of Hello There followed by Come On Come On, and think.."uh oh" we're in trouble here...
Yup me too. I saw KISS and Cheap Trick 3 days earlier up in San Francisco at the Cow Palace. August 16th 1977 the night Elvis Presley passed away!!!! 👍🎸
Yes it's interesting. Even though the production on In Color gets slagged, the Budokan version which became the breakthrough, probably owes it's swing to the Werman arrangement. Just saying..
That was a dream of mine when it was happening, and still is. Those 1977 Love Gun tour shows were something special. Hope those time machines get invented before my last breath.
Amazing, thank you!!! My favorite period of the band.
