What worked for me was using a lot of conditioner every time i washed my hair (once every 2 days) and then let it dry in the air, it works wonders with any kind of shampoo and conditioner

"flat-wrapping" is a term I've never heard of but have been doing for years and years. And for some reason, this is a completely foreign concept to all the hairdressers I've gone to probably because they're only used to styling white people hair and don't understand that some people have TOO much volume in their hair and don't need to blow dry their hair upside down to achieve that look. Some hair types have to be TAMED. I will never forget the time I told a hairdresser not to blow dry my hair back and instead to blowdry it forward and she's like "it's fine I'll get it flat". She was unable to flatten my hair after that and was like "sorry..." like maybe listen to your clients cause they know their hair better than you...
