We have a fleet of over 35 Volvo L70C's, D's, and E's. They are great machines and without EVERY one of them having quick couplers, our snowplowing outfits would be a lot less efficient. Clearly Volvo understood the need for a QC back in the day! However I think this Cat has a 'wedge' style QC (very similar to the ones on a skid loader) and the main advantage of that is there is no 'rattle' between the QC and the bucket like you would find on one of our L70's
If all the machine is going to be used for is loading trucks, you don't really need it. But for working with the pipe crew, the coupler is the hot setup because you can change to forks for handling pipe and manholes. The old way of picking up pipe in the bucket damages too many pipe.
do these have a good ride over uneven terrain, potholes basically. My employer (Copart) is getting one after a long time with Volvo machines and I'm hoping it rides as nice as the L90F we're used to. Thanks a bunch for any input!
@nibizsw3 you need to brush up on your english or reading comprehension man, i never said anything bad about their design and i supported the fact that they were first. im agreeing with you on everything
haha, love this feature! We have this on a mid 90's model loader at my house and it makes changing from the pallet forks to the bucket a breeze!

We just got ours yesterday, it's very different from our 930G. You can't see the bucket as well, but it looks easier to service.
We have had that here in sweden for more than 15 years as standard also called (Stora BM fäste) Big BM/Volvo attacher
chriss is like a kid in a candy store

Standart in holland for many many years
Nice from outside how to change it now show us from inside if you pressed a special unlock bottom or if our bucket has rams with hydraulic lines 😅
Great video
