I have been operating this loader for the past 9 months for an underground utilities company, concrete storm pipe etc., I really dont have any complaints with this machine. I have also used Volvo, John Deer, Komatsu. Im happy with Cat
My employer went with these after many years with the Volvo L90 series. All of the operators, myself included, prefer the Volvo. Not saying the Cat is junk, just prefer the Volvo for a number of various reasons.
I know cat makes much bigger loaders, but I don't think this is a small size. From what I see, this is a pretty standard size on construction sites, farms, and lots of other businesses. Small would be 2yrd or less size and under 100 horsepower.
Mark Groth For mining applications, it's small. I work at a 1.8 million ton/year underground limestone mine; a 924K is our backup underground utility loader. Our production loaders are a WA600 and an old 990 - the 924K is definitely small compared to those.
People preaching Volvo and Komatsu must not have to work on their own equipment or they must only run a loader with a bucket lol. Wouldnt trade my 96 IT14G for nothing. Over 30,000 well maintained hours and still running every day. Obviously you can tell it's pretty worn but she keeps on going

We will be getting some of these new K-Series Wheel Loaders in our territory soon. We know our customers will love these and be very impressed.
Looks like a lot of nice improvements. It also looks like they have taken a lot of standard features from the Komatsu Hydrostat loaders.
I'm trading in to get a 938K for sure, best on the market.

I can’t believe this video is already 10 years old. The k series
I run one of these quite often on a pipe crew. Great machine, just wish it had another 1000lb counterweight.
I ran a 2014 938K for 3 years. Not a fan of the standard jib blind spot, but The forks where precise (low). Nice Little girl with good AC.
Bellissima macchina!!!
Amazing machine . 👍
Good work cat
Great Video!
Class leading....
cat still doesn't know how to make a longer diptick for the oil. Why does cat always put the oil dipstick down so low.
