Anyone who trusts in their own good works for salvation is not saved at all.

EXACTLY. the Bible warns of MANY obstacles, persecutions, temptations and tribulations that happen to real Christians AFTER salvation. You DENY this reality supported by the Scriptures and REAL LIFE EVENTS. this is the reason for the existence of exhortation passages to persevere faithfully and in holiness till the end which you CONSTANTLY AVOID AND IGNORE.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH ALL THESE PASSAGES??????
"And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." Matt. 10:22.
"And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved." Mark 13:13. is Mark ALSO speaking ONLY to Israel?
"strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” Acts 14:22.
"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong." 1 Cor. 16:13.
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some WILL DEPART from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons." 1 Tim. 4:1.
"Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you."
      1 Tim. 4:10.
"If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us."
      2 Tim. 2:12.
"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." 2 Tim. 3:12.
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." 2 Tim. 4:3, 4.
"but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end" Heb. 3:6,
"I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the RIGHTEOUS AND THE WICKED. This being so, I ALWAYS STRIVE TO KEEP A BLAMELESS CONSCIENCE BEFORE God and men." Acts 24:15, 16.
"Who “will render to each one according to his works. He will give eternal life to those who by PATIENT CONTINUANCE IN DOING GOOD, seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who DOES EVIL.....but glory, honor, and peace to EVERYONE WHO DOES WHAT IS GOOD...."
      Rom. 2:6-10.
"Therefore, BROTHERS, we are debtors, NOT TO THE FLESH, to live according to the flesh. "For if you live according to the FLESH you will DIE; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will LIVE."
      Rom. 8:12, 13.
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor. 6:9, 10.
"and through your knowledge the weak BROTHER will perish for whom Christ died"
      1 Cor. 8:11.
"But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, after I preaching to others, I myself should become reprobate."
      1 Cor. 9:27.
"By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain."
      1 Cor. 15:2.
"Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Gal. 5:19-21.
"And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
      Gal. 5:24.
"For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God." Eph. 5:5.
"And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight, IF INDEED YOU CONTINUE IN THE FAITH, grounded and steadfast, and DO NOT MOVE AWAY from the hope of the gospel which you heard,"
      Col. 1:21-23.
"But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives....and so incur condemnation for having abandoned their former faith....For some have already turned away to follow Satan."
      1 Tim. 5;6, 12, 15.
"IF we endure, we will also reign with Him; IF we deny Him, He also will deny us"
      2 Tim. 2:11.
"Let them do good, that they be RICH IN GOOD WORKS, ready to give, willing to share, STORING UP FOR THEMSELVES A GOOD FOUNDATION, that they may lay hold on eternal life." 1 Tim. 6:18, 19.
“Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
      2 Tim. 2:19.
"Beware, BROTHERS, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,"
      Heb. 3:12-14.
"For if we sin willfully AFTER we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries....Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which HE WAS SANCTIFIED a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?"
      Heb. 10:26, 29.
"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lusts and enticed. Then, when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved BROTHERS." Jam. 1:14-16.
"BROTHERS, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins."
      Jam. 5:19 20.
"But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, BROTHERS, be even more diligent to CONFIRM YOUR CALL AND ELECTION, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an ENTRANCE will be supplied to you abundantly into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
      2 Pet. 1:5-10.
"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying THE LORD WHO BOUGHT THEM, and bring on themselves swift destruction...THEY HAVE FORSAKEN THE RIGHT WAY and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness...While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by WHATEVER A PERSON IS OVERCOME, BY THIS HE IS BROUGHT UNDER SLAVERY. For if, AFTER THEY HAVE ESCAPED THE POLLUTION OF THE WORLD THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HE LORD JESUS CHRIST they are AGAIN entangled in them and OVERCOME, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them NOT TO HAVE KNOWN the way of righteousness, than AFTER known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog RETURNS to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”
      2 Pet. 2:1, 15, 19-22.

We are human beings even if we are saved! Being saved doesn't change human nature. I think many of the scriptures used in this video are taken out of context.

insulting me with slanderous calumnies will not erase the fact that only a sinner could say his future sins are already forgiven even before he commits them. this removes the need to repent. SINNER! the Corinthians Christians were reproved by Paul for not repenting of the future sins they had committed, "lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication, and lewdness which they have practiced." 2 Cor. 12:21
Job repented of his future sins, sinner. "Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42:6 so did David in Psalm 51 and the Christians who were rebuked by the Lord Himself in Rev. 2 and 3
this is a blasphemous distortion of Col. 2:14 this teaching smears the holy character of God. this is why u you sinners claim the man who seduced his stepmother, 1 Cor. 5, while his father was alive, 2 Cor. 7:12, remained saved after committing this atrocity that not even the lost commit said Paul, "It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not done among the Gentiles-that a man has his father’s wife!" 1 Cor. 5:1

The "we" was believers. Through faith (Eph 2:8) they had chosen to "come to God" (Hebrews 11:6) on His terms, in repentance (Acts 17:30). For that they had entered God's promised mercy and grace:
⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)
⚫ "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him . . . " (Isaiah 55:7)
Outside of repentance, we will perish:
⚫ "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Jesus, in Luke 13:5)
⚫ "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
      Simple as that.

⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)

What did Jesus tell His disciples to preach??? "Faith alone"? "Faith + nothing = salvation"? No. He told them to preach repentance and remission of sins:
⚫ "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:45-47)
"Faith alone" is a sly, underhanded way to say that neither repentance nor obedience are required. Recognize "faith alone" for what it really is: it's a seductive heresy made for itching ears.

If salvation is in the future as you claim, why does God then seal the believer the very second one comes to Christ? Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Now if we are sealed by God, who can remove the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
are sealed unto the day of redemption.

This guy completely misunderstood that verse... people who rely on themselves for salvation are not saved. Sin doesn’t send you to hell unbelief does, if somebody says they have no sin really doesn’t need a savior. We will always have something to overcome but yes once somebody truly puts their faith in Christ not only will they not want to sin and get away with it but when they fall off track the Holy Spirit will constantly convict them not condemn them.

teeko neris you said: "Sin doesn’t send you to hell unbelief does,"
let's see if that is true: "But the cowardly, UNBELIEVING, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8 besides unbelief, there are other sins in this list that send unrepentant sinners to the lake of fire that include lying and sexual immorality.

teeko neris BTW the Galatians were saved and fell from grace. proof the Galatians were saved:
"O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: DID YOU RECEIVE THE SPIRIT by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? HAVING BEGUN IN THE SPIRIT, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?"
      Gal. 3:1-3.
"For YOU ARE ALL SONS OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS.. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."
      Gal. 3:27-29.
"But when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. But NOW AFTER YOU HAVE KNOWN GOD, or rather ARE KNOWN BY GOD, how is it that you turn AGAIN to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire AGAIN to be in bondage? You observe days and months and seasons and years."
      Gal. 4:8-11.
"BROTHERS, I urge you to become like me, for I became like you. You have not injured me at all. You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first... My little children, for whom I labor in birth AGAIN until Christ is formed in you,"
      Gal. 4:12, 13, 19.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which CHRIST HAS MADE US FREE, and do not be entangled AGAIN with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You are severed from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace."
      Gal. 5:1-4.
      # 1-they received the Holy Spirit, Gal. 3:1-3
      # 2-they were children of God through faith in Jesus, Gal. 3:27-29
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:" John 1:12
      # 3-they knew God and were known by Him, Gal. 4:8-11
      # 4-Paul called them brothers, Gal. 4:12
      # 5-they experienced the freedom of Jesus, "if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36
these Scriptures describe saved persons whether you like it or not.
NOTE only a saved person can be severed from Christ. an unsaved individual was never united to Him. only a saved person can fall from grace. an unsaved person was never in grace.

I am tired. I will be 80 years old this year. I was born again at the age of six. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30. Jesus said if I trust him, and him alone, apart from any works, he would give me eternal life. John 6:37 He would never cast me out. John 6:39 That he has never lost one. Hebrews 13:5 That He would never leave me or forsake me.
I Know I am going to heaven. You do not believe me. So be it. I believe John 3:16-18, and you do not. That is plain. So, I have done all I can do and can do no more. I must spend my time with believers. John 6:47.

Jim. I am 72. I also know I am going to heaven. I shout along with the apostle Paul when he was near his death, "I have fought the good fight, I have FINISHED THE RACE, I have KEPT THE FAITH. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." 2 Tim. 4:7, 8
you cowardly accuse me of being an unbeliever because I believe the Scriptures teach that the future sins of a Christian are NOT automatically pre forgiven; that certain sins affect salvation; that a Christian is responsible in keeping himself morally pure; that holiness is demanded by God to remain saved etc. etc DOZENS of Scriptures that you have IGNORED teach this
      2 Pet. 1:5-11; 2:1, 20-22; Rom. 2:6-11; 8:11-14; 11:22; Acts 14:22; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10; 8:11; 9:27; 15:1, 2; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 7:1; Gal. 5:19-21; 6:7, 8; Col. 1:21-23; 1 Tim. 1:18-20; 2:15; 4:1, 16; 5:6, 12, 15, 22; 6:10, 20, 21; Heb. 3:12-14; 6:4-8; 10; 10:26-39; Jam. 1:14-16; 5:19, 20; Matt. 5:20, 28-30; 10:22; 18:8, 9; Mark 9:43-47; John 5:28, 29; 8:31; 12:25, 26; 15:1-6; 1 John 2:3-6, 29; 3:3-9 etc. etc. etc
these Scriptures EXIST. they were addressed to SAVED persons. you act as if they are not in the Bible. as if they are NOT legitimate Words of God.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. No, you have never accepted the free gift. We have to be as righteous as God to go to heaven.
Romans 4:5-8. When we accept His free gift by faith alone apart from works, He gives us eternal life, His perfect righteousness, and will no more impute sin to our account. You are trusting in your own holiness to save you and have never accepted His free gift of eternal life. If you had, you would know you can not lose eternal life. But you sure know how to twist scripture and take it out of context to try to make Jesus a liar. John 6:40

      @enriquemoure2739 4 года назад

you despise me because I disagree with OSAS. BTW you said u got saved at the age of 6. I find that hard to believe. a 6 year old does NOT know he is a sinner who falls short of the glory of God, Rom. 3:24
in fact, most 6 year old children are still in their innocence. the death we inherit from Adam does not manifest in children that are still in their innocence, Gen. 3; Rom. 5:12-14
in order to get biblically saved, a sinner MUST acknowledge that he is indeed a sinner whose self righteous conduct does NOT meet God's moral standard. he must conclude that he is guilty before Almighty God's justice which demands his condemnation. repentance is an essential part of saving faith. an innocent 6 year old is incapable of repenting. on this alone your "salvation" at 6 falls on its face.
"and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Luke 24:47
the apostles preached it and Bible defined Christians also preach it.
"Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you." Acts 8:22
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent," Acts 17:30
"testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:21
"Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?" Rom. 2:4
"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted;" 2 Cor. 7:10
"And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will." 1 Tim. 2:24-26
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." 2 Pet. 3:9
      Rom. 5-8; 6:23; John 3:14-16; 6:40; 10:27-29 etc etc must be understood under the light of these 2 Pet. 1:5-11; 2:1, 20-22; Rom. 2:6-11; 8:11-14; 11:22; Acts 14:22; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10; 8:11; 9:27; 15:1, 2; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 7:1; Gal. 5:19-21; 6:7, 8; Col. 1:21-23; 1 Tim. 1:18-20; 2:15; 4:1, 16; 5:6, 12, 15, 22; 6:10, 20, 21; Heb. 3:12-14; 6:4-8; 10; 10:26-39; Jam. 1:14-16; 5:19, 20; Matt. 5:20, 28-30; 10:22; 18:8, 9; Mark 9:43-47; John 5:28, 29; 8:31; 12:25, 26; 15:1-6; 1 John 2:3-6, 29; 3:3-9
ignoring them will not make them disappear. these Scriptures EXIST. they were addressed to SAVED persons. you act as if they are not in the Bible. as if they are NOT legitimate Words of God.
being a believer in OSAS your future sins are already pre forgiven; no sin affects salvation, hence, holiness is irrelevant, determines nothing and is not demanded by God to remain saved. ALL the Scriptures above that I posted REFUTE all these opinions.
you are 80 years old. you better examine yourself. WITHOUT HOLINESS NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD. Heb. 12:14

The reason I know you are not saved is because if you were, you would know you have eternal life which is a free gift for just believing on his name plus nothing. Because nothing you do can save you, only what He did for you can save you.
And it can only be received as a free gift. You can not earn it. You have to be perfect to go to heaven, and no one is, not even you self righteous hypocrites who believe you have no sin. First John 1:8
You are trusting in what you do, not what HE did. I do not know why I even waste my time with you, but the Lord said I should.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace ye are saved, (what Jesus did for us) through faith, (when we believe it) and that not of yourselves, (we did nothing for it) it is the GIFT of God, NOT OF WORKS, (what we do or do not do, ) LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST. You can not boast in free. Romans 3:26-28. You keep boasting in your own works.
You say believing is not enough. Jesus said it is not only enough, it is the only way we can be saved. You can not add what you do to what He has already done. That is blasphemy.
John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have EVERLASTING LIFE, AND I WILL RAISE HIM UP ON THE LAST DAY.
First John 5:13 Now leave me alone. If you do not want to believe eternal life is a free gift for just believing on His name plus nothing you do, then so be it. But just so you know, the only way you are ever going to go to heaven is by accepting His full payment for all your sins forever. Romans 4:5-8
After you receive the free gift of eternal life, and you continue in some sins God hates, He will chasten you as a child. You will not like it. But you can not lose eternal life, and you can not earn it.
I can not understand what you do not understand about free. Romans 6:23 Until you believe that, you are going to hell. Guaranteed. Romans 8:9
John 3:18 Believers, those who have once believed, are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14 Our guarantee of eternal life. If you just want to go to hell, then just do no accept His free gift, and you will go to hell. But your not going to blame me for not telling you the truth. First Timothy 2:4

There is Security in Christ, but there's no security in sin. Christ is the head we are the body, he is the vine we are the branches. IF a Christian does not bear any fruit, Jesus will cut them off just like he said he would! Fear the lord! If you want Security in Christ, you have to remain in Christ. In the Bible nakedness symbolizes that there is no covering for sin, and the Book of Revelation was written to believers, and Jesus said that they were naked which meant there was no more covering for their sin, therefore he told them to repent. Some people are just slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have said, and they refused to accept the clear scripture that teaches conditional security. The early church walked in the fear of the Lord and in the joy of the spirit, the fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever. "Once saved always saved" people are trusting in the lie of the devil which is that if we sin we "shall not surely die", when God tells us the complete opposite and that if we sin willfully "ye shall surely die". Keep your garments lest you walk naked! And remember nakedness means there is no covering for sin. it's up to you to keep your garments, and that is not "works", it doesn't take any "works" or effort for you to keep your shirt on once it's on, just like it doesn't take any "works" to keep your garments on once Jesus clothes you in his blood, just don't take them off, keep them on or else youll be naked. "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and KEEPETH HIS GARMENTS, lest he walk NAKED, and they see his SHAME." ~ nakedness means = no covering for sins! Again, Jesus called believers naked in the Book of Revelation, and told them to repent, or else he would come against them with the sword of his mouth. Remember, the bible says he does not carry a sword in vain, he does not play with "bluff" threats, stop making Jesus out to be a liar, and fear him.

He died to pay for ALL Of your sins
He was buried in a grave
And rose from the grave on the Third day
THAT IS WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID FOR ALL HUMANS ..... For ( YOU ) & FOR ( ME ) .
PLEASE ACCEPT HIS GIFT OF SALVATION BY JUST ACCEPTING AND BELIEVING THE FACT THAT HE DIED TO PAY FOR ALL OF YOUR SINS , THAT HE WAS BURIED , AND ON THE THIRD DAY HE ROSE FROM THE GRAVE .

but you sin EVERY DAY are you going to hell? We all do this is why we repent everyday for our sin that express itself through four fallen nature that will MUST crucify and die DAILY to until Jesus comes. what we don't do is live a LIFESTYLE of sin that is described in the BIBLE. You know where it says now the works of the flesh are these and those that PRACTICE these thing shall NOT inherit the kingdom.

Our sinful nature does not disappear when the Holy Spirit comes to reside in us. There is no such thing as "sinless perfection". The Bible implores us to walk like Christ....not because we can no longer sin, but because it is through us and our example that we can lead others to Christ. Christians sin....oh yes they do. Salvation is separate from being Christ-like. God tells us to be saved, and then to walk like Christ. That salvation has already occurred before that man or woman began their baby walk in Christ. They may sin....they may not even learn how to be a Christian or worse may never have a Bible to learn from. People learn from the Bible on your own. Seek the truth on your own. The danger comes from listening to people give their own opinion. Not even my words should be trusted. YOU SEEK THE TRUTH and you WILL find it.

Paul Ryan ... What? Are you assuming that the book of life is like, a big register, or a roster of Christians only ... with a name added every time a person gets saved?
What if the book of life is God's census book, with a name added every time a human being is born into this world? If a person rejects Christ, refuses God's gift of eternal life, and dies in his sins, then it follows that in the final white throne judgment that person's name would not be found in the book of life.
That is only surmising on my part, but what is your concept of the book of life?
Where does it say that the book of life is a record of Christians, with names added as people get saved, and then blotted out when they "lose their salvation" and then added again when they get saved ... "again?" Added, then blotted out, added again, then ... oops! blotted out again?
While on that thought, where is there a record (chapter and verse) where it specifically says that this person (name him ... or her) was truly saved, and then lost their salvation? And by the way, I did see your next post, where in Revelation Jesus, speaking to the church at Laodicea, "...I will spew you out of my mouth..." So, you think that born again Christian are actually NOT a member of Christ's body, but are objects held in the Lord's mouth?
I admit there are some verses of Scripture that are difficult to understand, especially verses with a lot of prophetic symbolism, but Rev.3:16? Really?
I think if you are teaching kindergarten-age children, instilling in their young minds the false doctrine of Once Saved Never Quite Sure/Eternal Jeopardy, that might be a good verse to teach them to misuse, but not with adults who know their way around the Bible. Nice try though.

Book of life is actually in the MIND of God; thus God knew every deeds of men on earth and all our acts is register in God's MIND, be it good or bad. When your name was blot out from His Mind, simply mean you are dead and lost to hell. Only by the BLOOD of Jesus Christ can wash and cover our sin so that it could not appear before God otherwise God would have judge that sin and condemn it; Notice, the Bible only speak of the names being blotted out, not once did it ever suggested names can be re-write once it has been cut off. You cross that line of no return, that's the end of your soul (Heb 10:26-31). Also notice, the Bible spoke of another Book of Life and it was called THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE (Rev 13:8). This Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, there were also names written upon it and that can only means these people's name were ordained and predestinated as the Son and daughters of God, these group of people can NEVER be blotted or cut off from the Book because THEY WERE PART OF GOD TO BEGIN WITH. (Eph chapter 1). OSAS is always pertained to this group of people because God take ownership and Himself claimed as their heavenly Father, they cannot be lost by any means because of the BLOOD of Jesus Christ shed upon them and stood for them any time. The other group can be lost or fallen from Grace really means they never was truly been saved to begin with, they might walk so close to the real thing but eventually they will show their true election, they never was part of God so they can be fallen off half way through. It really depend on which side of the fence you are so to speak.

Nobody can "live right" enough to get saved or "stay saved" ALL our living right, (or righteousness) EVERY BIT OF IT is as filthy rags before him. Christ said that he would NEVER leave or forsake us. In other words he will never walk away from us. We can walk away from him and break our fellowship with the Lord. BUT NOT THE RELATIONSHIP. This is clearly presented in the word.

      NUMBER ONE.
Not all these people that profess to be saved are saved. It would surprise me not if only 20% (or less) of the average evangelical so called gospel preaching church had only 20% of the people in them that are really saved. In other words 80% are just professing Christians and have never really been saved. That is part of the problem
      NUMBER TWO
Saved people are just as capable of any sin in the book. (Many examples in the scripture) "If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Yes saved people SHOULD live for the Lord. Yes commitment should follow salvation. That is why there is so much scripture teaching Christians how they SHOULD live.
      NUMBER THREE
A SAVED PERSON IS ONLY BORN AGAIN ONCE. To say a true saved person becomes unborn if he should backslide is not scriptural. We are told that Christ is married to the backslider. The Lord always keeps his commitment to us, even if we don't.
      NUMBER FOUR
There is "the great white throne judgement." all the unsaved will be there. Then there is "the judgement seat of Christ." All true believers will be judged there. A true saved person that does not live for the Lord will suffer loss there, But he will be saved "yet so as by fire." Eternal life is the FREE gift of God. (with no strings attached.) It can NEVER be lost. James 2:10 puts us ALL GUILTY BEFORE THE LORD. I'm saved by THE POWER OF GOD, not by any power that I have to get me saved or keep me saved. I hope you come to see this. Once saved, always saved is the gospel.

***** Jesus baptism symbolized the sinners’ baptism into the righteousness of Christ, dying with Him and rising free from sin and able to walk in the newness of life(Romans 6, Romans 3:22). His perfect righteousness would fulfill all the requirements of the Law for sinners who could never hope to do so on their own. When John hesitated to baptize the sinless Son of God, Jesus replied that it was proper to “fulfill all righteousness” (@2).

the Gospel of grace that brings salvation produces a RADICAL MORAL TRANSFORMATION in a forgiven sinner, "For the grace of God that BRINGS SALVATION has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age," Titus 2:11, 12 this is why I know I am justified: by my sanctified condition. Jesus promised this would be the evidence of His salvation, "Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever is committing sin is a slave of sin.....Therefore if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:34, 36
Because of Jesus, I am no longer a slave of sin but a slave of righteousness and of God, "And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness....But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, your fruit is to holiness, and the end, eternal life." Rom. 6:18, 22
WHAT ASSURANCE OF SALVATION DO YOU HAVE, A LUCKY TICKET E YOU DREW IN A RAFFLE YOU DID NOT PARTICIPATE SINCE IT HAPPENED DURING ETERNITY'S PAST?
BTW speaking of reprobate, the Scriptures are the ONLY source of truth that give me all the information I need on any subject. NOT you. Calvin taught his double predestination theology, the U of TULIP, unconditional election, using the word reprobate. according to him, a reprobate is anyone whom God predestined for hell without any chance EVER at finding salvation.
I placed my trust in the apostle Paul, AN INSPIRED WRITER, and the Greek word he chose for reprobate, ADOKIMOS. let's see if the Scriptures agree with Calvin's definition of reprobate.
"But I discipline my body and bring it under submission, lest, after being a herald to others, I myself should become a reprobate."
      1 Cor. 9:27
ADOKIMOS appears only 8 times in the NT. how this word is used in the NT Scriptures gives me the definition of it.
      # 1-"Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you are reprobate=ADOKIMOS." 2 Cor. 13:5
NOTE adokimos means to be without Christ.
      # 2-"But I trust that you will know that we are not reprobate (ADOKIMOS)"
      2 Cor. 13:6
      # 3-"Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem reprobate (ADOKIMOS) 1 Cor. 13:7.
      # 4-"For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is reprobate (ADOKIMOS) and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned." Heb. 6:8
NOTE the KJV translates it rejected, "But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected," but it is the same Greek word ADOKIMOS. Heb. 6:8 is the conclusion of the apostasy described in Heb. 6:4-6
NOTE this sin is NOT a regular sin. this is final apostasy. total rejection of Jesus's INFINITE MERIT. only a saved person can commit apostasy. a never saved person can't apostatize from the Lord's salvation. there are many Muslims in their nations ruled by Islam who have committed this sin under penalty of death AFTER being enlightened and AFTER having tasted the heavenly gift, v. 4 AFTER having tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come v. 5 SAVED Jews committed this sin in order to return to the synagogues. they had to admit in public that the Lord was an impostor and a criminal Who deserved to be put to death.
      # 5-"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate (ADOKIMOS) mind, to do those things which are not proper;" Rom. 1:28
NOTE the sins in these passages Rom. 1:24-28 include homosexuality. in 1 Cor. 6:9, 10 homosexuality is listed as one of the sins that will not allow anyone who dies unrepentant in it to inherit the kingdom of God:
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."
THEN Paul writes in the next v.11, "And such WERE SOME OF YOU. you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
CONCLUSION a reprobate can indeed REVERSE his condition and get biblically saved. something Calvin taught was impossible because, according to him, God had predestined a reprobate for hell during eternity's past by a sovereign and IRREVERSIBLE decree.
      # 6-"Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth; men of a corrupted mind, reprobate (ADOKIMOS) concerning the faith." 2 Tim. 3:8.
      # 7-"They profess to know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate= (ADOKIMOS) Titus 1:16
      # 8- In 1 Cor. 9:27, Paul wrote this, "but I beat my body and bring it under submission, lest, after being a herald to others, I myself should become a reprobate=ADOKIMOS."
according to the Scriptures, NOT you, ADOKIMOS means destitute of salvation. LOST. whether in danger of becoming lost AGAIN as in 1 Cor. 9:27; 2 Cor. 13:5-7; Heb. 6:8, OR never saved to begin with, as in Rom. 1:28; 2 Tim. 3:8; Titus 1:16, it does not matter, ADOKIMOS is a PRESENT STATE OF BEING UNSAVED, LOST. this Greek word DEBUNKS Calvin's U of TULIP, unconditional election. this proves a reprobate is not someone predestined for hell without any hope at salvation, as Calvin taught!
WHY did Paul choose a word that means to be lost, unsaved, to describe a condition he did not want to become if it is impossible for an elect to become a reprobate?

We have to be perfect to go to heaven and no one is. First John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive our selves, and the truth is not in us.
When we trust Jesus as the only way of salvation apart from any works, He gives us eternal life.
Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness, His righteousness by faith alone.

Rom. 11:29 is NOT talking about not losing salvation. this v. is part of an explanation given by Paul that the Jews were not excluded from the call of salvation. he did this to warn the Gentiles who had embraced the Gospel not to be arrogant and mock the Jews. the complete narration is found in Rom. 11:11-36
this is what cults do. surgically extract verses to force them to say what you want them to say
      1 Cor. 15:1-4 has a conditional v. 2 which u OSAS sinners ignore:
"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, IF YOU HOLD FAST that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,"
the Day of redemption is the physical resurrection of the Christian.
"Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the REDEMPTION OF OUR BODY." Rom. 8:23
certain sins of the flesh can cause a Christian to miss that Day.
"But if the Spirit of Him Who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He Who raised Christ from the dead will also GIVE LIFE TO YOUR MORTAL BODIES through His Spirit Who dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, WE ARE DEBTORS-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For IF YOU LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH YOU WILL DIE; BUT IF BY THE SPIRIT YOU ARE PUTTING TO DEATH THE DEEDS OF THE BODY, YOU WILL LIVE. FOR AS MANY AS ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THESE ARE THE SONS OF GOD." Rom. 8:11-14
Paul gave the same warning in Gal. 6:7, 8 the Day of redemption is also the future inheritance of eternal life which can be missed by the sins of the flesh.
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap eternal life." Gal. 6:7, 8
the Day of redemption is also the future entrance in the kingdom of God which could be missed by the sins of the flesh. this is what Paul meant by the flesh: "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD." Gal. 5:19-21
Paul repeated the same warning here:
"strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to CONTINUE IN THE FAITH, and saying, “We must through many tribulations ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.” Acts 14;22
for this reason, Peter warned SAVED PERSONS to grow in virtue to avoid a moral fall that could derail their future entrance into the kingdom of the Lord Jesus: "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to MAKE YOUR CALL AND ELECTION SURE, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so AN ENTRANCE will be supplied to you abundantly into the ETERNAL KINGDOM OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST." 2 Pet. 1:5-11
not to enter the kingdom at death equals to enter hell, according to the Highest Authority: "And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire" Mark 9:47
if you were a serious student of Scripture, an honest seeker of truth, you would have included these vs. in your "conclusion." but you are not. all you care about is your beloved license to sin: salvation and immorality can coexist; no sin threatens salvation's security; holiness is irrelevant, determines nothing and is not demanded by God to remain saved even though Heb. 12:14 says that without holiness no one will see the Lord.

BTW there is a perfection God demands from the believer:
"Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." Matt. 5:48
"Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." 2 Cor. 7:1
"till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;' Eph. 4:13
"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Ph. 3:12-14
"Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." Col. 1:28
"Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God." Col. 4:12
"night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?" 1 Thess. 3:12
"Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God," Heb. 6:1
"But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Jam. 1:4
"For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body." Jam. 3:2
"But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you." 1 Pet. 5:10
"Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God." Rev. 3:2

Amen. We aught to live right to keep from the chastening of the Lord. And we should do good works for rewards in heaven.
But we have to be perfect to go to heaven. Romans 4:5-8 Without His righteousness no one will see God. I understand, your salvation is based on what you do, and mine is based on what Jesus did for me. You can lose your salvation, but I can not lose mine. I have eternal life now. First John 5:13 John 3:36 John 3:16-18. John 6:40. It is impossible for us to agree.
If our salvation is based on one work we do, then we have something to boast in for our eternal life. Romans 3:26-28 You can not boast in free. And if it was not free, no one could earn it because God requires absolute sinless perfection to go to heaven. And First John 1:8 says we do not have it except through the Spirit. First John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God, Ephesians 1:13, doth not commit sin, for His seed, (the Holy Spirit) remaineth in him and he can not sin, because He is born of God. The Holy Spirit that lives in those who have believed, can not sin, but we still do. But, where sin abounds, grace much more abounds.
Just so you know, I am not a Calvinist, nor an Arminian, and least of all a Lordship salvation believer. That is just Plain works salvation. That Jesus died in vain and we can save ourselves. I know you are never going to believe John 6:47 But someone else may read what I wrote and believe it and be saved. Romans 6:23 But you have to believe it to receive the GIFT.

Is Jesus a lier?? Jesus’s words. He said in Mathew 7:19 "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." It is very clear here that even though you are Cristian but you are sinning and not following the commandment you will be cut down. Same as Jesus said in the book of life that he can blot out those who are rebellious against Him. Like in the story of the prodigal son that even the son is with the father if the son chooses to disobey he can still go because of choice. Jesus also said In Mathew 7:23, “And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness". That's why it is impossible that once saved is always saved because God Himself has said it that even a believer will be denied. Also in Mathew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter." Jesus also said clearly here that, "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand (Mathew 7:24). Clearly, Jesus said that a true follower must act not only believe (Believe means with obedience) that he is saved otherwise he will be cut off or be judge. Now for me, the best way is I rather believe in words of sinless Jesus rather than a corrupted doctrine of sinful men saying once saved is always saved. That is not what Jesus teaching and not God's words and character because it is compromising doctrine. In Mat 13:41-42 Jesus said again clearly, "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This is a Warning for those who spreading false doctrine from satan. Why? because Jesus again said this words “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea and gathering fish of every kind; and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away. For me, the evil doctrine should be cast out from inside the church before it will burn all who believe in that kind of doctrine.

Does the spirit sin or the flesh?
Is the flesh going to inherit eternal life or the Spirit?
If you are born again , your spirit is born again and your flesh is not . That does not give you licence to sin and it certainly does not mean you sit around drinking coffee and doing nothing to prove that you have new life within you.
If as the scriptures teach all God's gifts and His call are irrevocable then how does one become unborn of the spirit. ?? Look at Paul handing over the sinner to satan for the destruction of the flesh so that his spirit may be saved! How could this be ? 1 Cor 3:15 works are burnt up but the persons salvation ( gift of God ) is intact. We may not like what we see in some of those who profess Christ and live like heathen but there is that verse that says He who started a good work within you will... Nah we don't like that at all.

@@brucewmclaughlin9072 all the promises of God are for those who are faithful to Him. the 2 Scriptures you mentioned, Ph. 1:6 and Rom. 11:29 have to be understood under the light of other Scriptures. one passage does not cancel another. they complement each other. Scripture interprets Scripture. there are other passages in Philippians and Romans. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain." Ph. 2:12-16
"But in accordance with your hardness and your unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, Who will render to each one according to his deeds: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first and also to the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God." Rom. 2:5-11
"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."

. BTW 1 Cor. 3 is talking about teachers and their teachings that could have harmless errors. but as long as Christ is the center, there is no condemnation. the teacher may lose his rewards but he will be saved as a man escaping a house on fire. this is the idea of this chapter. Paul was not referring to the sins of 1 Cor. 6:9, 10 a Christian who dies unrepentant in any of the sins mentioned in that list does not inherit the kingdom of God. there is no security in sin. the INFINITE MERIT of Jesus precious sacrifice is not a blanket immunity from the lethal consequence of certain sins.

Justification by faith is not salvation in the context of its entirety. Justification is God’s vindication of a person, being forgiven of his sin and charging him not of the penalty that he is suppose to face (2 Corinthians 5:21). Justification is just the prelude to your salvation. Your Christian life doesn’t end in justification. It begins from this point.

Yes, I agree with the text you posted. But you missed the point. Understanding that predestination is not predetermination. God has predestined believers to walk in the right path to obtain salvation, but he does not force anyone into himself against his will. It is that God has laid out for us a way to be saved by trusting and believing the gospel of his Son to salvation. That’s what it means by predestination. Verse 13 of Ephesians 1 says that *”In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation”.* So, it is that after we believe and trusted the gospel of our salvation, we can obtain the promised salvation.
Romans 8:30 is speaking about the foreknowledge of God to predestine believers to follow and obey his Son. Read verse 29. It says that *”whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son”.* So, only those believers whom God foreknew to follow and faithfully obey Christ were predestined by God.
Galatians 2:3-9 is about justification of faith apart from the works of the law. This justification is brought about by the grace of God. Justification is not salvation in the context of its entirety. Justification is where you begin to live a life of faith in the Son of God. Notice carefully that Paul, again used the faith of Abraham as an example of justification (v.6). Abraham was counted righteous by God when he believes. But when did God pronounce Abraham as righteous? When he believed God’s promise of blessing (Genesis 17) or when he obeyed God to offer his son Isaac in a sacrifice (Genesis 22)? When he obeyed God to offer his son Isaac, God justified him (v.16-18).

@@spiritcomfort2193 I noticed u mentioned Eph. 1:4-14 why did u ignore other passages from this epistle? "But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them." Eph. 5:3-7
you mentioned John 15:16 why did u ignore other passages from John? "...the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth-those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation." John 5:28, 29
"If anyone does not abide (REMAIN) in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned." John 15:6
u mentioned Rom. 8:30 why did u ignore other passages from Romans? "But in accordance with your hardness and your unrepentant heart you are storing up for yourself wrath in the Day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who will render to each one according to his deeds: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." Rom. 2:5-10
"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." Rom. 8:12-14
"Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off." Rom. 11:22
these Scriptures prove a conditional security and personal accountability of a Christian AFTER salvation. this is what u constantly do: cherry pick verses.you don't care about the truth of God. all u care about is your pet heresy. this is why u exclude these passages. they are unfavorable to OSAS.

Always remember that he prodigal son never lost his son ship.
He blew his inheritance but was still regarded as a son .
Once some one is genuinely born again and the Holy Spirit takes up (permanent ) residence in that person,,! then that person is deemed righteous, justified because they have the rightousness of God indwelling them .
They are saved not because of their rightousness but because of Gods indwelling rightousness .
Once they have the genuine Holy Spirit indwelling them they then become members of Gods family born again into Gods family.
Sin from then on becomes a matter of choice because thet have a permanent inner wittness convicting them of sin and always promoting Jesus.
All people who have the genuine Holy Spirit indwelling them are saved which comes into each individual believer at conversion are permanently saved from the time the Holy Spirit entered them.
God does not remove the Holy Spirit from any of his children because it is a gift from God.
Many who have Holy Spirit but then fall back in to sin and deny the promptings and convictions of the Holy Spirit will arrive in heaven with nothing to be rewarded for they will have no crown awarded them they will have no inheritance .
Their works will be tested and all burnt because they did not produce and fruit in their lives.
The will be in heaven but will be spiritual refugees with nothing to show for themselves .
These people are not members of the bride of Christ because the bride of Christ is made up of the over comers the ones who serve the Lord with all their hearts motivated by love and thankfulness.
Paul wrote the book on eternal security it's called Romans 8 then in corinthians he was troubled that he would be a castaway that he preached in vein .
once saved all ways saved but one must be saved in the first place .
Many people do many things in the name of Jesus but it is their old carnal nature producing their zeal for God not the indwelling Holy Spirit.
These people have not been regenerated and are not Gods children .
look at John Wesley for years he was a preacher of the Gospel then one night he went to a church and heard the book of Romans preached and was then saved.
His life from then on was transformed.
Now look at Lot and how he lived his life , he was Justified and deemed righteous because he believed God and rightousness was credited to him .
He was not a perfect example of a child of God but judgement could not come untill righteous Lot was removed from Sodom.
Once saved always saved , absolutely providing one is saved to begin with .
Put it this way we can loose our salvation if it depends on our commitment to God but we cannot lose our salvation if it depends on his commitment to the believer .

@Rodney.........One time a man asked Paul "Sir, what must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30-31) And They (Paul and Silas) said, "BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED, AND THY HOUSE."
If you know that God is dealing with you, simply ask Him to come and dwell in your heart and fill you with His Holy Spirit. You'll know when He speaks to you. Nothings is complicated. The rest of how your walk with God He will take care of it just get yourself saved first.

Jesus said in John 8:29, “And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I ALWAYS DO THE THINGS THAT ARE PLEASING TO HIM.” We can clearly see that Jesus always does the will of the Father. Jesus also said, John 6:39, “And THIS IS THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME, THAT OF ALL THAT HE HAS GIVEN ME, I LOSE NOTHING, but raise it up on the last day.” In John 8:29 we can clearly see that Jesus always does the will of the Father. So if Jesus always does the will of the Father and the will of the Father is that Jesus lose none and also raise all those to glory who had been given to him by the Father (John 6:39), then salvation cannot be lost. Otherwise, the will of the Father is not done by Jesus. But if it is possible to lose our salvation, then Jesus has not accomplished the will of the Father because it would mean he has lost some; and in the future he will also fail to raise up to glory those who have been given to him by the Father. This just cannot be. Also, it is accusing the Father of showing false judgment by trusting Christ with the "given ones" since the Father is trusting Christ with them...but he lost some? It makes no sense.

Why did Judas Iscariot perish? Judas Iscariot was a disciple BEFORE the Lord called him to be an apostle, Mark 3:13-15; Luke 6:13. Make a note of that! He was also promised a throne, along with the other 11 apostles, to judge the 12 tribes of Israel, Matth. 19:28. God in the flesh chose a saved man, for this is what the word disciple means, which is found over 270 times in the NT, and always means someone in good standing with God. I recommend that you read the word disciple,s, in a concordance and you will find this truth. He was given power to cast out demons, to heal the sick and to raise the dead. And, please, do not use Matth. 7:22,23, to excuse your error by applying this passage to Judas, as if he never knew the Lord. This passage is speaking of obedience. Anyway, in the parable of the virgins in Matth. 25, He tells 5 of them, I do not know you, v. 12, NOT I never knew you. Virgins is symbolic of believers, 2 Cor. 11:2. To say that Judas was NEVER saved is to imply that God made a mistake for selecting a lost person to the highest position in His church, apostle. Therefore putting in doubt the Divinity of the Lord Jesus. If you are a Calvinist, who believes in the heresy of double predestination, then your god selected Judas Iscariot in eternity's past to be son of perdition, AGAINST this man's will. And when the time came to call the 12, the Lord Jesus chose this LOST man so that He could use him to fulfill Scripture, be betrayed by him, and then reject him and exclude Judas from His mercy, forcing him to commit suicide and die in his sins. And all this was done WITHOUT any chance of Judas Iscariot to repent, because God's irresistible grace IMPOSE on him this rebellion. This god is a criminal and a monster! The Lord Jesus, in John 15, said: "IF anyone does not REMAIN in Me, he is cast out as a branch and withers; and they gather them and throw them into the fire to be burned." v. 6. Furthermore, He gave HELL WARNINGS to His disciples in Matth. 10:28. In Matth. 10:33-37, He warned them that if they denied Him, he will in turn deny them, and IF Jesus denies us we are no longer saved. So denying Jesus because of persecution will cause a believer to be lost. This can not be said of an unbeliever for he has nothing to deny. Make a note of that! He added in v. 37, that if any of them love any family member, or anything, more than Him, he was not worthy of Him. If Jesus says we are UNWORTHY of Him, we are lost and no longer saved. (I dare you to read ALL the passages of the word "worthy" in the NT) So to love Him with all our hearts and minds and souls, more than any valuable possession, including loved ones, is a salvation issue! Jesus told His disciples, that if they had sexual lust in their hearts, they will be thrown in hell, Matth. 5:28,29. The same goes for hate-murder, v. 22. He also warned His disciples against the sin of pride, that if they did not overcome it, will NOT ENTER into the kingdom of heaven, Matth. 18:3. When Peter asked him how often he should forgive a brother v. 21, the Lord gave him a parable. I solemnly advice you to ponder its truth, because the moral conclusion of unforgiving is described here by the Lord v. 34: "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, DOES NOT FORGIVE his brother his trespasses." So from the lips of My Savior, unforgiving can cause a disciple to lose his salvation, according to the morality of the parable. The Lord told His disciples (v. 35) in Mark 9:47, "If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to ENTER the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having 2 eyes, and be cast into hell." So we see that the Lord Jesus ALSO taught that sin can DERAIL your final entrance into the kingdom of God. The Lord's apostle Paul said the same, "Therefore,BROTHERS, we are debtors-not to live after the flesh. For IF you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live." Rom. 8:12,13. Paul spoke the same truth here, "God can not be mocked. A man sows what he reaps. For he who sows to his flesh of the flesh he will reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap ETERNAL LIFE." Gal. 6:7, 8. This is NOT a rewards but a salvation issue because it deals with eternal life. Make a note of that! And what is to live according to the flesh or to sow to the flesh? Galatians 5:19-21 tells us a list of sins that will cause anyone, even if saved, not to inherit the kingdom of God. Certain sins change EVERYTHING with God! When speaking of some widows in 1 Tim. 5, Paul wrote, "But she who lives in pleasure is DEAD while she lives." In v. 12, he describes them more, "having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith." But v. 15, gives the complete picture, "For some have already turned aside after satan." Who were they after before? Paul speaks of some believers who shipwrecked their faith, 1 Tim. 1:18-20. And that some will depart from the faith 1 Tim. 4:1. Some became destitute from the truth, 1 Tim. 6:5 through greed. This can not be said of unbelievers who never had the truth. Other strayed from the faith by being involved in profane and vain babblings, 1 Tim. 6:20, 21. The book of Hebrews is a DEVASTATING BLOW to your heresy, especially 3:6, 12-14. 6:4-6; 10:26-29. 12:14-17. James 1:14-16, describes how a saint DIES spiritually AGAIN through sin. I don't have space here for James 5:19,20. 2 Pet. 2:1, 19-22. The truth of Scripture is that man is a responsible MORAL creature and we must guard this precious gift of salvation that did not cost us a thing but cost the Lord everything! I STRONGLY recommend that you read ALL the NT passages with the words IF, BLAMELESS, HOLINESS, ETERNAL LIFE, SALVATION, KINGDOM OF GOD, etc. The Lord is not willing any to perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Pet. 3:9. but why do MOST do not repent? Here is a passage for you, "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in hearts and ears! You always RESIST the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you." Acts 7:51. Many remain lost because they NEVER come to the Lord on His terms. Others lose their salvation because of sin, false doctrine, denying the Lord Who bought them as in 2 Pet. 2:1 and Matth. 10:33. We have a responsibility before the Lord to keep pure what ONLY He made pure.

You want to remove OBEDIENCE from believing, and the responsibility of the believer to remain steadfast in the faith to the end of his/her life, and NOT moved away from the hope of the gospel. ( Col. 1:23, Mat. 10:22). God DOES NOT force anyone to do this, nor to bring forth fruit worthy of repentance, which if they do not , they ( not God ) are CUT DOWN and thrown into the fire. Mat.3:10
To believe that a person once saved cannot fall from grace ( Gal.5:1 ), fall from his own steadfastness and be lead away with the error of the wicked ( 2 Peter 3:17 ), is to completely nullify ALL the new testament warnings given to BELIEVERS. Including HELL FIRE warnings given to BELIEVERS by the Lord Himself!! Such as these ones:
" "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven." ?Mat. 10:32,33
" If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell" Mat. 5:29
" So My heavenly Father also will DO TO YOU if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." Mat.18:35

***** Yes David, it is safe to make that assumption! You said it correctly, it is " talk " and not truth. I'm not here to support the people or " church " that made this video in particular, but I do agree that "once saved always saved" is a lie, and is not supported by scripture. This video however does provide the platform to earnestly contend for THE faith once delivered to the SAINTS, and to expose the falsehood of this horrific doctrine that is leading multitudes to hell. It is a " doctrine " that if consistently supported, allows for all types of wicked sinful behavior, with the belief that a person in that kind of condition is still in right standing with God, spiritually alive, and on their way to heaven with no fear of God. That is spiritually LETHAL.

***** I commend you for your humble approach to discuss the things of God and pursuit of the truth. However, I don't believe the rich man in Luke 16 shares the same sentiment about hell as you do: " Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am TORMENTED in this FLAME.' But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are TORMENTED". Luke 16: 24,25 Just by this parable taught by The Lord Jesus Himself, souls ARE TORMENTED in the flames of hell. To say that hell is not eternal, downplays the severity of sin, and God's judgement on those who rebel and refuse to repent. It is also unbiblical, and removes the fear of God. Here are other scriptures that say hell is eternal, along with the TORMENT that goes with it:
" The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: "Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" Isaiah 33:14
" If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the EVERLASTING fire." 18:8
" Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the EVERLASTING FIRE prepared for the devil and his angels:" Mat. 25:41 Sorry but if you're right, then the devil does not get what he deserves either.
" These shall be PUNISHED with EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power," 1 Thess. 1:9
" And the smoke of their TORMENT ascends FOREVER AND EVER; and they have NO REST DAY OR NIGHT, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." rev. 14:11
Sorry my friend but this is conclusive, and there is actually much more to post, but the point is made of what hell is and for how long. The eternal God left His eternal abode, became a mortal man and suffered at the hands of His own creation, to the point of death, on the cross, to provide a perfect atonement for the sins of man. To continue in sin and reject this awesome, and redemptive gift, MERITS eternal torment, and is a JUST recompense.
Please reply if you would like to further discuss, on ANY topic, I greatly admire your humility and respectful manner, even though we disagree. God bless you.

Don't be deceived, if you're living in sins and lack conviction, shows you're not even born again; you're NOT save to being with. There is NO such thing as God lost what He had saved. (John 5:24, 10:28-29)
If that's wasn't so with you, then something is very wrong with your experience with God, because NO such thing as lost your God given Salvation if that salvation was what God did for you and meant for you; and when you've accepted His provided way to be saved.

Completely accurate teaching. Here Peter says the same exact thing in absolutely clear language. II Peter 2:18-22 "For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantoness, those that were clean escaped those who live in error...FOR AFTER THEY ESCAPED THE POLLUTIONS OF THE WORLD THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, THEY ARE AGAIN ENTANGLED THEREIN, AND OVERCOME, THE LATTER END IS WORSE WITH THEM THAN THE BEGINNING. FOR IT HAD BEEN BETTER FOR THEM TO NOT HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAN, AFTER TO HAVE KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT DELIVERED UNTO THEM." Explain that away. Why on earth would you argue for sin? Why hate righteousness? Why would Jesus say "Be ye perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect?" The once saved always saved doctrine is the Mark of the Beast causing people to fall into perdition. God help people see that He has given us a way out of sin - so when we willfully choose not to take that way out - we trample the blood. Heb 12:4 "Ye have not resisted unto BLOOD striving against sin." ... Heb 10:20 "JUST THINK HOW MUCH WORSE PUNISHMENT WILL BE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TRAMPLED ON THE SON OF GOD AND TREATED THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT, WHICH MADE US HOLY, AS IF IT WERE COMMON AND UNHOLY, AND HAVE INSULTED AND DISDAINED THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO BRINGS GODS MERCY TO US." Simple and clear. People blinded and insane from sin hate this teaching. You cannot read your Bible with scissors and take out the passages you do not like. Yes we are saved by grace and eternal life a free gift. That does NOT mean there are no conditions on us receiving the final gift.
If your father gifts his son a car - it's a free gift. He also tells the son to not abuse the car, don't drive drunk, keep it clean etc. There are conditions but the car is still a FREE GIFT. Again sin blinds you and hardens your heart. Repent.

This is your wrong perception of the Word written in 2 peter 2:18-22; The Bible only said they escaped the pollution of the world through the KNOWLEDGE& of the Word; It did not say anything about being filled with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and have tasted of the Power thereof; having the knowledge does NOT mean you are saved, them Pharisees been taught with the scriptures and full of knowledge of their religion since their youth and yet they still thought Jesus was crazy! the same if a man can learned of his religion, join every church and be a member and taught of how to life a godly Christian's life doesn't mean he was saved too! But if a man truly been saved according to the Bible's way, that man can never be lost again. (good work was only a reasonable service you do when you are saved, not you try with good work to save yourself with)
You have miss a point; the son who have miss used the car though it a free gift, that son can still NEVER lost his status as a Son with the Father no matter what he did. Whether repented or not has nothing to do because a son was BORN to be a Son and not join into a family to be a son. There is a BLOOD tie follow through this line which the father cannot deny; Now how much more of our Heavenly Father who had chosen us BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD before we even known how to do good or evil? Think of that. (Rom 9:11-16)

Paul himself said he could be disqualified or a castaway Greek word adokimos meaning unfit for, rejected, worthless "I Keep my body in bring it into subjection, lest that by any means when I have preached to others I myself should be a castaway." Was he not saved as well? Why would he say such a thing if he was eternally secure no matter if he went out and became an enemy of Christ and started killing Christians again...of course not that's absurd to its core. Finally Hebrews 3:14 "For we have become partakers of Christ IF WE HOLD THE BEGINNING OF OUR CONFIDENCE STEADFAST TO THE END." And if not? I'll let you figure that one out.

I will grant to sit with Me on My throne (wait what? only If they overcome and repent?) as I also overcame (Jesus is telling us to overcome sin and the world by remaining pure though the Holy Spirit?) and sat down with My Father on His throne."
To the Church at Ephesus Rev. 2:5 "Therefore remember from where you have fallen. (wait church people cannot fall from grace!) and repent (there's that repent word again!) and do the deeds you did at first (what? belief only!) or else I am coming to you and will REMOVE YOUR LAMPSTAND OUT OF ITS PLACE - UNLESS YOU REPENT (Jesus will remove the Holy Spirit?!! But - but - but once saved always saved!) I need not say anymore Jesus said it all. Believe what you want - I choose to fear and obey God.

      >+Everyday Christian You said "1 Cor 9:27 First of all Peters writing was to the CHURCH not the unconverted. So your point is erroneous right there. I'll let you figure that one out."
This is the same when every time I warned my children, I told them about the serious consequence of breaking the laws, I told them I have to obey the same rules and those myself have to keep, but one thing you have forgotten this is, there is a RELATIONSHIP involved here. Will I condemn my own children to hell if I know they have break the rules and moreover if I have all the POWER to prevent it to happened? You have really lost your mind if you can see one of your children lost to hell without you intervene, and done nothing for them but only know how to preach to them about holiness! Now how much more our Heavenly Father would do for one of His own? Of course when people are blind to that Grace of God when they lack that relationship, they can only see was keeping of laws and observing of lists of dos and don'ts.
When my children break my rules, did I once ever consider them as lost and no more My OFFSPRING, they stop being my children from birth? I'll let you figure that one out.

      >+Everyday Christian You claimed "Oh and also Jesus Himself SPEAKING TO THE CHURCH of Laodecia Rev 3:14-22 "Because you are neither hot nor cold I will vomit you out of my mouth" (what? He will reject them? But they are Church members - once saved always saved) "you say I have become rich, I have become wealthy - and am in need of nothing (ie I can sin all day and am still saved no matter what no need to stop sinning that would be works!) - do you not know what you are wretched miserable poor blind and naked...therefore be zealous and repent!" (repent of what? these are baptized professed church members who are saved). "To him who overcomes (overcome what? See you have make another error again! Since God was speaking to an CHURCH AGED in Rev 3, so God did not just speak to the believers alone, It was also includes the make believers, The GOOD SEED AND THE WRONG SEEDS too! (Matt 13:24-30) So God was addressing to whoso claimed himself to be Christian, be it true or false Christian. It did not suggested you can lost your salvation after you've been saved, instead it really depended on which side of the fence you are! whether you have the spiritual ear to hear the TRUE WORD or not!
The PROMISE was always to those who have overcome and they were the one that were saved (Rev 21:6-7), only these have the spiritual ear to hear what the Spirit said; but the WARNING and condemnation was always to those who claimed to be Christian but were NOT saved. Simple as that! How did the true believers overcome? the Bible said they overcame the devil by the BLOOD of the Lamb ! (Rev 12:11) and our testimony were always same in line of the Word which declared we the sinner were saved by Grace through Faith.
I need not say anymore: "For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast". (Eph 2:8-10) Jesus said it all.

John 6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Jesus said, we must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. How are we born again?
The Gospel, First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He has buried and rose again on the third day,. according to the scriptures.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after ye heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your salvation; in whom also AFTER ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, 14 Who is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. Born again by the Spirit of God.
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Second Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, the foundation of God is sure, having this seal, (the Holy Spirit) the Lord knoweth them that are His.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, shall enter the kingdom, but he that doeth the will of my Father, who is in heaven. MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, Have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name cast out demons? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity. They never did the will of His Father. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that all that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
They trusted in what they did to save them selves, by keeping the law and doing good works. Jesus said, by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified, and Paul said in Galatians 2:21 I do not void the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Romans 3:28 There fore we conclude that a man is justified by faith, apart from the deeds of the law. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God, is eternal life. Romans 11:6 It is all grace, not works, We can not add one work to grace, or it is no longer grace. John 3:18 A person who has been born of the Spirit can never be condemned again. Once a person has received the free gift of salvation by grace, we have eternal life. John 6:37 He will never cast us out. John 6:39 Jesus has never lost one. Hebrews 13:5 I will never leave you or forsake you.
John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. And my Father who is greater than all, no one can pluck them out of His hand. Double eternal security. First John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doeth not commit sin; for his seed (the Spirit) remaineth in him, and He (the Spirit) cannot sin because He is born of God. It is impossible for a born again believer to ever sin again. Because the Spirit that lives in us can not sin. We still do, but the Spirit can not sin. First John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive our selves and the truth is not in us. We have grace in time of need. When we sin.
Romans 5:20 Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Salvation is Jesus plus nothing. It is a free gift from God that we did nothing for. Ephesians 2:8-9 We have nothing to boast in because Jesus paid it all and we paid 0.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name.
First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
If you do not have eternal life now, you have never trusted Jesus as your savior and are not saved. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:18 He that believeth not, is condemned already because he hath not believed on the name of the Son of God.
I have given the gospel the bible way, so it is up to you whether you believe it or not. We either have eternal life because we have believed, or we do not have eternal life and are headed for hell because there is no other way to be saved than what Jesus did for us. Never could we save our selves no matter how good we are. We have to be as righteous as God. Romans 4:6-8

      a. "John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man PLUCK them out of my hand. And my Father who is greater than all, no one can pluck them out of His hand. Double eternal security."
The word "PLUCK" means "to seize, carry off by force." or "to seize on, claim for oneself eagerly"
      biblehub.com/greek/726.htm
Since the passage is about SHEEP following their Shepherd we can see that this is about an enemy SEIZING a sheep from the fold BY FORCE and CARRYING IT AWAY. In this scenario (which Jesus said CANNOT happen) a person who is heeding the voice of the Shepherd and [OBEDIENTLY] following after Him is seized BY FORCE by the enemy and STOLEN away out of the Shepherd's hand.
Obviously, this does not apply to ABIDING BELIEVERS. It applies to believers who have by deliberate sin made themselves vulnerable to the Enemy's power to deceive. As an example, consider the Prodigal son. Was he SNATCHED AWAY, kidnapped and carried away to perform forced labor on a pig farm? He ran away of his own free will to serve his lusts in "riotous living" When he went bankrupt he took the job on a pig farm.
      b. Jesus is NOT saying that believers are IMMUNE from the Enemy's attacks NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO. Sheep are not captured and sold into slavery by the Enemy's ability to OVERPOWER THE SHEPHERD. They are captured when they are lured out of the fold by their lusts and DECEIVED. James says:
14 But each one is tempted when he is CARRIED AWAY and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. (James 1:14).
Sin leads to bondage and slavery.
If the enemy could not "seize" God's sheep UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES then the first two humans would never have been expelled from the garden. First he had to entice, them. Then he deceived them into committing the sin that brought them and their descendants into bondage
      c. "First John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doeth not commit sin; for his seed (the Spirit) remaineth in him, and He (the Spirit) cannot sin because He is born of God. It is IMPOSSIBLE FOR A BORN AGAIN BELIEVER TO EVER SIN AGAIN." [emphasis mine]
This is one of the more preposterous things you have uttered. The NT affirms in many places that believers do commit sins. What John is saying is that abiding believers do not LIVE IN SIN. Let us look at 1 John 3:9 again keeping in mind what the Greek tenses mean.
First of all note that in the Interlinear translation the words "COMMIT SIN" and [cannot] SIN are both in the PRESENT TENSE
      biblehub.com/interlinear/1_john/3-9.htm
This indicates that what John is referring to is not COMMITTING sins (which he says we do) but a pattern of sin that is ONGOING and UNREMITTING.
Christians might commit sins but he does not expect that they will live in sin.
      d. This is clearly expressed in the Interlinear as well as those modern translations which hold to the guiding principal of formal equivalence:
      English Standard Version
No one born of God makes a PRACTICE of SINNING, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot KEEP ON SINNING, because he has been born of God.
      New American Standard Bible
No one who is born of God PRACTICES sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
      Berean Literal Bible
Anyone having been born of God does not PRACTICE sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to CONTINUE sinning, because he has been born of God.
      New International Version
No one who is born of God will CONTINUE to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot GO ON SINNING, because they have been born of God.

Repentance. Metanoeo. Change your mind from trusting in what you do to save you, to trusting in what Jesus did to save you apart from works.
Romans 4:6 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputeth righteousness apart from works. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. He already paid for all our sins.
Romans 11:6 All grace, no works. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. it is free. Romans 3:26-28.
Romans 4:2 If Abraham were justified by works, he would have something to glory in, but not before God. We can justify our selves before men by good works, but not before God. Faith alone apart from works because works can not save a sinner.
John 6:40 and John 6:29 Those who trust in their own works are not saved. Matthew 7:21-23.
First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 1:12 and Romans 1:16. And the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. IF we could do one thing that would save us, then Jesus died in vain. Galatians 2:21
Gods word. Not mine. And He can not lie. John 3:18 and John 3:36. Works are for rewards in heaven after we are saved. First Corinthians 3:11-21

Repentance means to quit trusting in what you do to save you, Keeping the law and doing good works, to trusting in what Jesus did for you when He paid your sin debt in full and you can no longer be condemned. John 3:18. First Corinthians 15:1-4
If you could do one thing that would save you, then Jesus died in vain. Galatians 2:21
We have to be perfect to go to heaven. Romans 4:5-8 but no one is. John 6:40. We simply believe it to receive the free gift of eternal life. First John 5:13. Since it is eternal life it can not be lost or it would not be eternal.

You can not be saved until you believe the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.
Once you believe it you are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30 Hebrews 13:5 He will never leave you or forsake you. John 6:37 He will never cast you out. Romans 8-9. Without the Spirit there is not salvation. With the Spirit we are given eternal life by faith alone apart from any works. Romans 4:6-8.
First John 5:13 John 1:12 Romans 1:16. Those who hate grace, Romans 11:6 hate Jesus who is grace. We can only be saved by grace apart from any thing we do or do not do. Sinners can not save themselves. Matthew 7:21-23 They never did the will of His Father in heaven. John 6:40 and John 6:29. They trusted in their own works instead of Jesus finished work on the cross alone.

However if you are grieved by your sins and truly sorry for them because you know it hurts God, Holy Spirit is working in your heart and God is abundant in Mercy and quick to forgive. You just turned the atoning work of Christ to a BIG "maybe" dependent on man and not God. read Ezekiel 36_22-38 and ask if salvation is so difficult that only God can accomplish it. Also, what does faith, saving faith come by, not the false profession of faith you reference and twist like the devil..read Philippians 1:26-28 and notice that GOD grants the ability to believe, an often overlooked passage with clear meaning.
      ------------
BTW - everyone I have ever met that turns Christs atonement from Christ has done it to Christ might have done if the man cooperates; does this because they reject the clear teaching of Scripture because they are natural men. When asked what is meant by Romans 8_28-34; they again twist the plain meaning to God looking down the corridor of time and "peeking" to see what a man would do. You should examine yourself and you should have plenty of doubt because you believe you can receive the Holy Spirit by faith and then kick Him out; you cannot kick out that which you never possessed.

What does it mean to repent? It is the Greek word metanoeo. It simply means to change your mind. Meta means change, and noeo means mind. It means to go from unbelief to belief. Or to quit trusting in what we do to saved us to what Jesus did to save us. Matthew 7:21-23 Those that trust in their own works are not saved because they have not done the will of His Father in heaven. John 6:40 and John 6:29.
I do not mean to offend you in any way, I just want people to know they have eternal life. The last thing I want for anyone is to be misled and end up in hell. No one wants to hear, depart from me, I never knew you. Not I did know you and now I do not. I never knew you. Romans 8:9 Without the Spirit of God there is no salvation. With the Spirit we have eternal life. Second Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, the foundation of God is sure, having this seal, Ephesians 1:13 the Lord knoweth them that are His, and let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
First John 2:2 but only those who believe it are saved. Romans 11:6 AMAZING GRACE. God loves you so much He died and took the punishment we all deserve. He paid the price four our sins, the sinless Son of God, just because He loves us sinners. John 3:16. The just for the unjust.

@@jimkraft9445 Jesus determined what repentance means: to abandon sin. He used an OT passage to describe repentance. Jonah 3:1-10
"The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because THEY REPENTED AT THE PREACHING OF JONAH; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here." Matt. 12:41
"Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, [a]a three-day journey in extent. 4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. 6 Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,
Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water. 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, LET EVERY MAN TURN FROM HIS EVIL WAYS AND FROM THE VIOLENCE that is in his hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish 10 THEN GOD SAW THEIR WORKS, THAT THEY TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAYS; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it." Jonah 3:1-10
this is what John the Baptist and Paul meant when they said, "Therefore bear fruits WORTHY OF REPENTANCE, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones." Luke 3:8
"but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works WORTHY OF REPENTANCE." Acts 26:20

If a person is "Saved" then they cannot lose their salvation; if they continue live in sin after learning about Christ, then they probably were never actually "Saved" to begin with. If a person was truly "Saved" then they will no longer want to live a life that is the path of a sinner. How *repentant* you are has *everything* to do with salvation. Because outside of repentance we do not receive His promised mercy:
⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)
⚫ "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him . . . " (Isaiah 55:7)
And we'll perish, not receiving redemption from the death penalty we have earned for sin:
⚫ "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Jesus, in Luke 13:5)
⚫ "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
No surprise, then, that Jesus told His disciples to preach *"repentance and remission of sins."* Not "faith + nothing = salvation":
⚫ "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:45-47)

Everything that we received from God, be it justification, healing or even our Salvation, everything has to be by FAITH, and anything that are without Faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6) . You have teach a wrong Gospel.
If your perception of "repentance" is about some sort of actions to stop sinning, then you have preach a false doctrine; No place in the Bible ever teach that salvation is through works or any form of repentance works, which the Bible actually call it "Dead works" (Heb 6:1). No works can justify sinner. Only faith in the PERSON and the Blood of Jesus Christ can saves.
The Biblical way of repentance is simply means "To change your thought and Turn your heart to God for salvation". When Jesus told His disciples to preach repentance and remission of sins, simply meant to point the people to the right source of Eternal Life for the forgiveness of sin. The PERSON of Jesus Christ is THE only source of Eternal Life, and only His Blood can REMIT sin, not in any form of religious works you do.

@@Royaleagle-qi5xc You wrote *_"If your perception of "repentance" is about some sort of actions to stop sinning, then you have preach a false doctrine"_*
That statement directly contradicts scripture. God changed His mind about about punishing Nineveh because they changed their mind about continuing in sin. They "turned from their evil way":
⚫ "And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not." (Jonah 3:10)
Here's what Jesus had to say about Nineveh:
⚫ "The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they *repented* at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here." (Jesus, in Matthew 12:41)
Is it not obvious that outside of repentance - turning from sin - we face condemnation? Small wonder, then, that Jesus warned:
⚫ "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Jesus, in Luke 13:5)
      Ephesians 2:8:
⚫ "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God"
That's right: we come to grace *_through_* faith . . . NOT just because we *_have_* faith. *_Through_* faith we "see" that we have a real choice-and decision-to make: to either "come to God" on His terms, or else to continue in our old life.
Without faith that God exists and rewards we could neither "see" that choice nor make that decision:
⚫ "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
It's the decision and action - *to "come to God" on His terms* - that matters, and pleases God . . . AND for which we enter His promised mercy and grace. Faith is given to us (Eph 2:8) to call us; question is, will we answer the call and come to God on His terms?
So, how do we "come to God"? What does God tell us to do?
⚫ "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30)
If we'll obey, then we'll receive His mercy and grace as promised:
⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)
⚫ "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him . . . " (Isaiah 55:7)
Our past sins will be blotted out and we'll enter "the presence of the Lord" by the gift of the holy spirit, given "to them that obey him" and repent:
⚫ "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19, NKJV).
⚫ "And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him." (Acts 5:32)
⚫ "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)
If we enter His mercy and grace, and remain in His grace, enduring to the end, we will receive salvation: the promised gift of eternal life, to be received at Jesus "revelation," His return:
⚫ "And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life" (1 John 2:25).
⚫ "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;" (1 Peter 1:13)
Meanwhile, in this mortal life, those who are in Christ have "the hope of salvation" and are "appointed . . . to obtain salvation." Those are Paul's words, not mine:
⚫ "But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (Paul, in 1 Thessalonians 5:8,9).

Yes, God does revoke salvation in the Bible. Read the following passages:

      2. “For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee”(Romans 11:21).
      3. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”(I Cor. 3:16-17).

You have to take salvation in the context of its entirety to be able to understand what it's meant to be completely saved. Salvation that is taught in the Bible is conditional, depending on how we respond to the calling of God (read Matthew 13:3-8, 18-23). Fire of all, Galatians 5 when read correctly you would discover Paul was talking to Jewish people who believed in Jesus as Messiah being taught they had to keep the law of Moses on top of the grace of God. That is why Paul said you have fallen from grace.. The who wants to be saved by the law of Moses must keep it perfectly, That is impossible no flesh will be saved, or justified by works of the law (Romans 4)Furthermore, A person who gets saved by grace doesn't want to sin. If they did and didn't repent they were not saved to being with. Focus on on loving Jesus and you will be secure in Christ forever.

Remember that the gospels are the accounts of Jesus addressing Isreal under the Mosiac law until his death. He was born of a woman, born under law and was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel- Matthew 15:24- his ministry being in the 69th week of years in Daniel 9, calling Israel to repentance, turning them back to the laws of Moses for there righteousness per Deuteronomy 6:25, Moses speaking.
The gospel being the kingdom being near or at hand. Jesus was the Son of David, of Abraham, of Man, and of God. He sent his disciples only to the lost sheep of Israel during his ministry before his death and resurrection- Matthew 10:5-6. He proved he was the anointed one from God with signs - miracles- see Acts 2:22. He was rejected, murdered/sacrificed, buried, then raised according to the scriptures. Ascended to the Father and sent the Holy Spirit as he said he would and his blood changed covenants, nolonger observing works for righteousness, it is now by faith.
God now, prior to the 70th week of years in Daniel 9, commands all people everywhere to repent and turn to Him and believe the gospel of God about Jesus the ANOINTED ONE, Christ for forgiveness, reconciliation (the unsaved since the new covenant of his blood are not lost, they are unsaved- Israel was under shepherds and were neglected and were like scattered sheep, wounded, lost, see Eze. 34.
Paul's letters teach that God is now addressing "Mankind" prior to judging "mankind", which will be ALL nationalities on earth, by his coming wrath.
The Epistles are addressing the Body of Christ under grace not law and it is correct to say what you are saying about Galatians.
Galatians is a major rebuke to those who want to go back under law. See Romans 2, Ephesians 2-3 for the status of the Gentile nations concerning laws for righteousness while Israel was under the Mosiac laws for theirs.
The nations were not under "specified laws" for their Righteousness, They would not be judged by the laws of Moses for their righteousness prior to Jesus' death as Jews were.
So, concerning eternal salvation which cannot be lost! We are "born" of the heavenly Adam per 1 Corinthians 15:44ff, we are "bought", we "do not belong to ourselves" see 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, our "Father will discipline us" if we do not judge our own actions per 1 Corinthians 11:31-32, see Hebrews 12 also.
The Holy Spirit is a "seal or deposit guaranteeing" what is to come, see Ephesians 1:13 and 3 other passages you can look up. "If we sin" we have 1 John 1:9 for a provision for "forgiveness of sins and cleansing of all unrighteousness," John is addressing believers.
If one could lose salvation all of these things listed, and many more, would have to be overturned and there would be clear teaching on at least most of them---there isn't!
If we could lose our salvation Jesus, as "shepherd" of our souls, would be a sinner, he would be no different than the shepherds who neglected the Jews under the Law of Moses covenant and in John, Jesus claims to be the "SHEPHERD" over Israel- the "sheep" most of who were "LOST". Except in the kjv in 2 Corinthians 4:3, "nowhere in the New Testament epistles" are unsaved people called lost. A lost person in the epistles could only be a person under a God appointed shepherd as explained above, and the new birth and other terms of salvation, including ownership by God, passages --make, teaching one can lose SALVATION, MANIFESTLY ABSURD.
Sorry it is a long comment brothers, but nearly noone seems to understand the differences between the so-called gospels and epistles, laws for Righteousness as opposed to Faith for righteousness, earthly nation Israel as opposed to heavenly citizens, etc. Including the understanding that Jesus was ministering during, or in, the 69th week of years in Daniel 9 to reiterate.
I have great joy when I read a comment recognizing what Paul is saying in Galatians 2-5! I'm a doctrinal bible teacher and I LOATHE brothers and sisters in Christ being deceived and told they are under GRACE while keeping them under LAWS OF MOSES, laws they were never under in the first place. Most legalistic professing believers and cults establish their false doctrines and several kinds of practiced traditions from the Gospels and Hebrew Old Testament, which is what was still their current scriptures when Jesus was ministering in the flesh in Israel.
They were also using the Septuagint, the 3rd century B.C. Greek translation of the Hebrew text.

His promises are conditional - so therefore he isn't lying - as the ten commandments already imply. Rich young man: "what must I do to be saved?", look at the reply. elsewhere: "but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved." Matt 24:13, and St Paul says the same. It's only by out of context quotes that one arrives at Once Saved Always Saved. Even the oft quoted "believe in your heart...etc" does not guarantee salvation if you read it with the proper care. "My sheep will never be taken from my hand..", also does not guarantee it, as Jesus can be talking of the saved, ie, after death and the attainment of salvation in the original Christian theology.
The problem here is the reform theology that dumped the original Christian understanding, of which the rest of Christianity still holds to, of salvation by faith and works by grace. The result has been theological chaos ever since, but even Calvin, from which OSAS is a diabolical offspring, didn't imply OSAS as people understand it today, infact that any sin would mean that the person was never saved in the first place, living under some kind of delusion.
And I believe the nonsense that reform theology makes of goodsense is a major reason for the enlightenment atheism that came hard on its heals.

living holy and above sin is not upholding the law in order to "earn" salvation. this is a misrepresentation of what the Christian experience is. Bible defined Christians are forgiven sinners who no longer live in sin. we NOW lead righteous and godly lives with the help of the Lord, John 15:4, His Spirit, Rom. 8:11-14, and His grace, "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age," Titus 2:11, 12

Jesus promised this freedom from the slavery of sin, "Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin....Therefore if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed."
      John 8:34, 36

Paul tells us how we should live as people who ARE saved. Not that those things are what save us. If we could save our selves what did Jesus die for? Is Christ dead in vain?
Also, this guy is not quoting from The King James Version. Which means he doesn't even have a Bible. Those other perversions are butchered to the core.

brad ley yep that's correct. So that's what I get when I read Paul's letters. You are saved... And this is how you should be as a saved person. But you won't lose your salvation. You are sealed until the day of redemption aka rapture.

hi cool. I agree redemption in Luke 21:28 is deliverance from the destruction of Jerusalem. but there is another redemption: "Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." Rom. 8:23.
      this is our physical resurrection.

Yes, you will save a soul from death, but not spiritual death. First Corinthians 5:5. Turn such a one over to Satan to kill the flesh so that his spirit my be saved in the day of the Lord. This was a born again believer, Ephesians 1:13 who was sleeping with his fathers wife. He was about to lose his life, and his rewards in heaven, First Corinthians 3:15 His works would all be burned up, his rewards in heaven, but the man was still saved so as by fire.
