  • In this video I'll share my thoughts with you on the much anticipated cordless Oster Fast Feeds and 76 clippers. I won't go heavy on techs and specs but just give my thoughts from trying them out at Barbers Connect and how they compare against their competition.

ive been a loyal oster user for 30 years, until i started going "Cordless" a few years ago... & ive had my oster octanes for several years now & they have performed flawlessly & i absolutely love em! ...& while i havent got my hands on the new 76 (which i think looks just like the octane, so...??) & i have yet to try the new fast feeds, so the only one i can speak on is the new T-Finisher Trimmers... 1st let me say, my old corded t-finishers were my hard & fast, trusted & faithful GO-TO's for multiple Decades! they were absolutely invaluable in my arsenal & have made me alot of money over the years, so tryin to replace em with something that has the same "Feel" but cordless was a tall order! ...so obviously i was THRILLED when i heard oster was FINALLY coming out with a Cordless Version! ...buuut... & heres where i haveta be honest, even though i love oster, i was, to use ur words, very "Underwhelmed" ...but on a positive note i would like to say that it uses the same (best i can tell) trimmer blade that the old t-finishers used, & thats a great blade & i LOVE it! so thats one in the "win" column for oster... but the problem in my opinion seems to be the same issues i have with the otherwise brilliant wahl magic clips, & that would be a weak motor/battery combo (side note: excited to hear wahls coming out with a magic clip that has a stronger motor!) ...& the power of the battery/motor seems to fluctuate on this new t-finisher & doesnt seem hold "steady" ...a good example, if uve ever used an andis slimline pro for any length of time (after a few charge cycles) u know that feeling of the power & the rpms fluctuating up & down, & that same feeling, that the battery just barely has enough juice to spin the motor, so to speak, is excatly where the oster t-finisher drops the ball for me... i really wanted to love it, but i will just say this, i dont regret buying it & it will be on my station & i will use it, but unlike my babyliss fx's, of which i have 5, i will not be purchasing a second t-finisher, or at least, not yet (i normally keep a back up of everything) unless they do a 2.0 version with an upgraded power/motor/battery fix ...thanx bro

I love them also, but have to replace after several months because they get to loud, and I mean loud. I shouldn't have to do this with a close to $400 clipper. No parts to replace to prevent this from what I have seen.

I had the cordless 76 for 6 months now. And I love it. It’s powerful, very light, feel good in my hands and can cut really smooth.

i just got my cordless fast feed. i love them because of nostalgia and just feeling different. i still keep other clippers nearby, i can definitely understand people being underwhelmed with them tho, if it wasn't for the nostalgia, you could spend your money elsewhere for premium clippers for sure.
the guards that they package with the fast feed alone will annoy the F out of you, these cost toooo much not to come with premium magnetic guards. Also, the packaging was just lazy, they coudve given us retro feel/theme with better packaging for sure.
with all that said, i still wait for the revamp next gen, im sure they'll tighten up.

I'm used to the corded classic 76. I just got the cordless 76's. First off..They're not metal like my corded clippers. They're plastic. I'm worried that if I drop them they will shatter. They are LOUD and clanky. I don't think the cut is as sooth or as clean as with my corded clippers. They miss a lot of hairs and I have to go back multiple times to try to get them all. I'm thinking about sending them back.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with them. They just don't have that indestructible and premium feel that the corded versions have which is a real shame.
