Oster 76 Clipper repair - Step by Step - David Warren

Remove the scratches from your Oser 76 Clippers. Make your clippers look brand new. I like the way old clippers look and feel after I have been using them for a while but I hate the way they look after the case gets scratched and the color fades away. I will show you how to restore a pair of 25 year old Oster 76 Clippers. The Oster 76 are one of my favorite clippers to use and I don't want to get a new pair I just want to clean the scratches off the outside and make the case look smooth. I noticed that my 76 clipper sounds like it running slower, I'm not sure... I turned them on yesterday and while I was cutting, the pitch of the machine lowered. It's stayed that way since. i think they're also building heat faster and I swore that I could smell them. Now, it could happen that they need a new greasing, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the sound.. Could I have an issue with the power cord, or something along those lines? I haven't had them long enough to know what's wrong with them.

I've had mine red oster 76 clippers for 24 years now and they have stopped. Could it be that the spring brushes on the side need replacing?
