I just realized that Guts is canonically able to swing that shit like a fucking regular sword. Meaning he'd probably shatter every single regular sword just on principle of being that fucking strong/fast.
Not a regular sword. In the first arc he fights a superhuman who can swing his axe at inhuman speeds yet Guts, with his 300+ pound sword deflected all of his attacks. Keep in mind a regular sword weighs around 2 pounds.
Let's say his black sword is somehow durable enough to survive the impact he would still be launched 80 FUCKING FEET away and would probably get damaged attempting to block the impact which Infact would not just fracture but dislocate and a okay chance that THE BONES IN HIS ARM WOULD BREAK

You know, it somewhat irks my perception of Guts to know that he's a zoner. His fighting style is that he's an unstoppable object with the sheer weight of his sword - but it makes sense because his sword has naturally massive range, and many of his other equipment are ranged.
Guts is a hybrid. In the manga he both zones, especially when outnumbered, and overwhelms with melee. Which he demonstrates he is more than capable of doing in this video. He does both combos and zones. Setting up traps forcing his opponent to get close or backup, both are beneficial to guts. I’m just annoyed he doesn’t use his crossbow for range instead of his bombs. His bombs should be a juggle mechanic, or a combo extender. Somewhat like Batman in injustice or predator in mortal Kombat x.
A real swordsman with a greatsword of this size would fight as a "zoner". Imagine fighting up close with a slab of iron this big, it would be stupid and impractical.
Its just that I studied Kiritos attack pattern when it comes to fighting him at a high level. I am usually the type of player that waits for the opponent and plans a counter attack instead of rushing.
