Explaining and showing how to install an external memory stick was extremely helpful. Thank you. I just want t move applications, for example: Disney, hulu, pbs, etc. A simple "drag and drop" would be great. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

HELP!! I've installed the otg cord to my firestick and a usb flash drive, but there is no usb drive or external storage device listed. Not in setting, not in es file, no where. How can I get the flash drive to register as an external storage???????? Please help me, my fire stick keep showing the popup message that my memory is low.

Did you format it to FAT32?
Additionally you can have a hub there, add bluetooth adapter for Bluetooth headphones and remote too

Hey do you know the maximum external storage drive to firestick size? Is 6TB possible?
Hi is this storage only for moving files? My stick is full because of the apps and I’ve cleared as much as I can. Followed your video to the point of holding middle buttons to select app. The options to cut/copy are at the bottom o just can’t get the option to highlight it.

I added a USB stick and ES file manager sees it, I find the files I want to move, but when I hold the center button it only attempts to play the file and does not select it (I am using the firestick remote app since my dog ate the firestick remote 🤷♀️)... any suggestions how to get around this?

I have a new HD Firestick I purchased last week so it is the new release. I am from Canada.
I purchased two things from amazon as well - 1) OTG cable (the one in your video) and 2) Ethernet adapter so I can connect through ethernet from my router directly to my Firestick.
I followed your instructions to connect my OTG cable and I am using a spare 16gb external USB SanDisk i have. As soon I connect everything it says no internet connection and the external storage mount pop-up did not come up. I tried another spare external USB drive and the same thing happened. I also restarted my Firestick and my modem but that did not help. I unplugged the Firestick and I tried plugging it in again but did not work. As soon as I removed the OTG cable and go back to the original setting everything works fine. Do you have any recommendations on what I can do to make this work?

Easy the 4k max has the option for the way this man says by adding an OTG cable with a USB stick. Troypoint has a better instructional video for this without the necessity of any other app! Also Tech Doctor shows how you can practically do it with any fire stick! Take your pick Troypoint or Tech Doctor. Either one guaranteed!!!
Mr Gupta I have the ES explorer but anytime I run that program or downloader I cannot see where my clicker is the whole screen is white so I can't see it Is there a way you can tell me how to reset something so I could see where the highlighter is?

Hi, can you define the external HD as your default device for future recordings?
it wont allow you to record any streaming, you need to have a video capture to do that. This is essentially just a storage for extra apps, but it also allows you to transfer files with an app like xplore file manager.
So can you add a video captr stick into this equation?

I wanted to increase my storage of my firestick too, I do all the processes as it should be, it is always this message that goes up connection failed ie the connection failed, I changed for several other USB key, I ordered the Sandisk fat32, the connection always failed; Can you help me please.

My es explorer no longer has sd card. I would move from internal storage to sd card. And it would be writing it on a thumb drive. When I would move it from internal to usb. It takes forever. Now it doesn't show a sd card. When it didn't show a sd card. I'd unplug it when it came back up with the sd card. That no longer works. How do I get the sd card up on es explorer pro? Now installing a new thumb drive. It says it is 100% full.
When i go to the app it just keeps saying loading for the usb. Do you know why i would have this problem?

@@dileshsolanki2383 Yes. The reason is power supply. I figured out from a different forum that the adapter output should be increased to a higher one (something like a 2A).
I tried using my OnePlus adapter and it works like a breeze.

Tired to wire my Ethernet to my Firestick through a USB and OTG cable but it just doesn’t show up. I have X2 LG TV’s (OLED) and none of them pick that it is wired up,just doesn’t appear on either of the LG TV’s. I plug it into my Sony tv and it shows straight away on the Firestick that it is hard wired. Tried everything,even lowering the display on the LG TV’s to 720p and still nothing. Very strange but I am out of option! 🤷♂️
