THE ILLUSTRATIONS OF HUGH THOMSON HD

It never ceases to amaze me that illustrators of the calibre of Hugh Thomson can become so sidelined in terms of awareness of their lives and achievements. During his lifetime he was only marginally less popular than the obvious stellar presences of the Golden Age such as Rackham and Dulac. I had intended to feature him in the unsung heroes series but subsequently found a large volume of his illustrated work, and I'm pleased to say it has enabled me to make this solo video instead.
