Those sort of chains are far more potent than the iron ones. Then, how can he leave his children behind? Many people stay in disastrous relationships because they just can't leave their children. Whatever the truth, he has a very weak, easily led mind, he's been used to people telling him what to do, where to go, how to dress, how to behave all his life. She' just taken over that role. I'm not letting him off any hook - *he's an adult and he should have taken responsibility for himself decades ago* . But he didn't and thus he's got himself into this unholy disaster.

This is history in the making and I think Meghan is badass and bold in all the right ways.

A side note, In my country we also have a Monarchy institution. The Monarchs role in my country isn’t to be political, but to represent our country in different events/happenings/occurrence/gatherings etc.and what I’ve a hard time to understand is how that “representation part” got lost with Prince Harry Lord of Sussex & Meghan Duchess of Sussex?
As far as I know their roles would allow them to be more private than for example Prince William and his wife Kate ever can be.
I can be totally wrong and I’m willing to change my mind if someone provides me further information about the British Royal family and their different roles.

That has already been done - Harry lost all his military titles and they both voluntarily surrendered their HRH titles. Megan was never officially a UK citizen because it required a residency requirement of several years until it became official. She has zero interest in living in the UK or being a citizen of the UK and neither does Harry - what are you banging on about? BTW - their son Archie is a COMMONER and on the date of his birth his parents both decided to raise him as a non-royal. Harry is 6th down in line of ascendency and zero possiblity of his ever being monarch and it is nonsensical to speculate that M&Hs children would ever be "royals" they are born and raised commoners.

There is a YT channel belonging to a lad in his early 20s who, in a building site accident, lost one and a half of his 2 arms, and EVERY part of his body below his belly button. Everything. He doesnt even have his bottom to sit on, in his wheelchair. Everything he eats comes out in a bag. And he is barely over 20 years old. Now that is a victim. But he is incredibly brave and thinks of himself not as a victim but as a survivor. Harry has met many disabled ex soldiers. He should know better than to complain about his own utterly trivial pathetic concerns.

Perhaps Harry has not fully dealt with his mothers' death, and allegedly, it seems that Meg is either re-opening those wounds or nursing those wounds. She seems to be isolating him from his family and no winners are created when this happens.

So very well said Claire Peace. I am older, and I watched Diana's wedding live, I've watched the Royal Family for many years, and live in a Commonwealth country, namely Canada. I grew up singing God Save The Queen, and the picture of a young Queen Elizabeth is etched in my mind's eye from when I was a young girl. My mother-in-law met Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip once, on a visit to Canada long ago. I cried when Diana died, I know the story, and understand it I think. Sure, Harry lost his mother at a young age, but then so did I, and so did my young brother who was only 7 years old.
It seems that Harry was totally protected from the press after his mother died, but now it's become obvious how much he hates the press, his hatred came out even in his engagement interview. I understand that the Royal Family went through "hoops" just to get Harry into Afghanistan...it was no easy task even for them. But the press found out and so Harry had to leave...boo hoo.. Seems like he's a man who is so full of privilege and resentment.

Sadly, I think Harry is cheapening his own mother. He's peddling her like a commodity. Whether fair or not, we often look at poorly behaved individuals and wonder if they were brought up or dragged up and in this regard, too, Harry does Diana no credit. I am not excluding Charles from this, but he is still alive and able to speak and act for himself. Diana is not, and if Harry values her memory he should stop using her and behaving in ways that I doubt would have made her proud had she still been here to comment on them.
I said earlier in the thread that when he started following in her footsteps doing charitable things she would have been proud of him, but I think she would be horrified now. „Peddling her like a commodity „ is a perfect description!

I've wondered if Harry has taken some of Diana's life and circumstances and imagined how she would have behaved had she lived. Thus, she would have approved of him leaving the RF and approved of him moving to the US and doing his own thing. Is he justifying his behaviour by thinking his mother would support it? I don't think she would because the Diana that Harry remembers was a young woman still trying to find herself. I think she was beginning to find her way when she died. I believe that she wanted William to be King, and a good one, and Harry's behaviour towards his brother is not something I think Diana would support were she alive today.

The revisionist version of Diana is a sight to behold. She was from one of the oldest families in the country and could trace her family line back to William the Conqueror. well, actually they did, Both of them think that they're the greatest things that ever hit Planet Earth and that if they want to do/ announce something, the rest of the family should stand aside and let them, because THEY were the most popular......even the Queen and certainly anyone lower than the Queen, even if what they were doing was very important. They gritted their teeth, took a TON of time off, did as little as possible and when they couldn't stand it anymore (and Megs had Archie the meal ticket) they took off for North America. I have no fine breeding nor am I from the upper class but I know in my heart if you say you love someone like Harry says he loves his Grandmother there is no way you would make such a massively public interview and run down the family as those two creatures did. The Queen deserves the uttermost respect not to have this happen at this time of her life. Their ducal titles cannot be removed except through act of Parliament. Noble titles and royal/princely status are two separate questions. So, Megan and Harry could have their princely status and royal HRH style formally removed, but they would still be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Also note the title is substantively his, while his wife holds her title as a courtesy based on her husband's rank. (In common law, a wife is entitled to the rank of her husband and can use his name: Hence, "Lady Colin Campbell" and the archaic way married women would be known as "Mrs. John Smith" for example.)

Yes Oprah did mention her father , in later interviews on tv, but Meghan said he lied to her about his photos with the press.,but later said sorry, so he’s given them 30 days to to call him otherwise he’s going to talk again.
They did talk about her family during the "visit" but it was released the next day to help bolster CBS ratings on Gayle's show.
She claims that she “lost” her father. That’s simply untrue. Her father didn’t pass away, he’s alive and even though they might have a difficult relationship, they can work things out. At least her dad said he wants to try.
Since Mags maternal relatives have spoken out about the way she treats them and how they weren't invited to the wedding either one saying that the reason was because they were to poor I doubt mags would want to bring them up. It wouldn't fit their story of being victims, their kind and compassionate treatment of people, and their and their philanthropic work promoting families.

One of the worst parts about all this is that MM orchestrates ALL of this and she LOVES ever single minute of it! She is in her GLORY! Every headline, every report, every mention of her name, feeds right into her humungous ego and she's relishing every moment.

Lady C - I’m glad you mentioned your observation of the changes in MM “baby bump” size and “top” size. I noticed without question that lying under the tree, the “baby bump” looked as though she was at least 7 months along but her top was considerably small. On the interview, the bump looked more like a 5 month pregnancy while her top was considerably larger. Adding to the confusion was a picture of her holding Archie with Harry hugging her from behind - the baby bump looked like a full term, 9 month pregnancy! I’m a nurse and this all looks so suspect! It doesn’t look consistent from picture to picture at all!

I think at this point there’s no hope for those two to start having good taste and dignity, so, in my opinion, the more they expose themselves for what they truly are, the better. The day that Meghan went to the women's shelter in Canada, we were having a bad snow and wind storm. The ferries (from Vancouver Island to the mainland) were all cancelled. She had to charter a sea plane to get here (why put your life and other's lives at risk) . Also, during storms, shelters are at their busiest in Vancouver. These people had to stop working for a few hours to receive her. She was also photographed getting off the plane. How would the paparazzi know she was there???

I felt so bad when I saw those lovely women who ran that shelter. They were so excited to see her and happy to have what I am sure they thought would be her help. They even gave her a lovely necklace to mark the day, she got her photo op, left and they never heard from her again.

Lady C, I was always under the impression that the Queen's first and foremost priority was to protect the monarchy. As soon as I saw Oprah take a seat opposite The Queen at M&H nuptials I knew exactly how Meagain was planning to play her hand. I think everyone should take into account that Harry’s beautiful wife is a narcissist ,I should know as my sister was just like Megan ...Poor Harry does not stand a chance as he loves his wife and child ,he is being swept along by his feelings ,while Megan has isolated him from his family and friends and all that he knows ..I do hope in time Harry finds his way back to his family and country.... or we are all wrong and they are truly in love ....I do hope the latter .is the right one ...

I think Harry was a little vulnerable when Meghan came along. He had been involved with a girl he very much loved and wanted to marry her but she turned him down because of the demands of Royal life. Then along comes meghan and she is more than ready to be a Royal, she just wasn't ready or willing to do what you have to do to have the title. Instead she isolated Harry from everything he has known. It's sad.
I don't know where people find Megan beautiful. Common maybe. I have seldom seen her in any clothes that she didn't look like she was all wrinkled and just got out of bed. Her character is just as questionable.

The RF should have believed it. The interview, horrible as it will be, is likely mild compared to what they are capable of, and their intent to betray and destroy the RF was crystal clear from before the engagement. You could SEE that this is what she came to do.

I’m so glad William got a decent girl in Kate,she’s a strong girl and works hard as William does plus raises three kids and had to home school them during this lockdown. I really have no understanding of anyone treating their grandparents this way. My only grandparent was most loved and respected by our family and many other people as well. We loved her dearly and miss her still. She was almost ninety one when she passed.
Harry’s treatment of his own family, no matter how much he loves his wife, is just unbelievable, they’re his Granny and Grandad and his dad! If he and his wife are angry with them, they should speak to them, all this washing their dirty linen in public is so awful. And so very hurtful 😯

It is not that I don't like Meghan's clothes. They are perfectly suitable for my middle class life (I work for pump manufacturer). I don't like her style because most everything she wears is ill- fitted or wrinked. Even her wedding gown was ill-fitted. And I am not the demanding perfectionist she claims to be. I think she is just lazy.

You are so right about that badly fitted wedding gown and it was way too white for someone who has been previously married and spent as much time on casting couches as she has.
She makes everything she wears look like it comes from TJMaxx, and I have nice things from that store- but I didn't spend 5K on them.
