- The Guess Who perform "Shakin' All Over" live in Toronto in 1983.
When you move in right up close to me
That's when I get the chills all over me
Quivers down my backbone
I got the shakes in my thigh bone
I got the shivers in my knee bone
Shakin' all over
Just the way you say goodnight to me
Brings the feelin' on inside of me
Quivers down my backbone
I got the shakes in my thigh bone
I got the shivers in my knee bone
Shakin' all over
----- short instrumental break -----
Quivers down my backbone
I got the shakes in my thigh bone
I got the shivers in my knee bone
Shakin' all over
Well, you make me shake and I like it, baby
You make me shake and I like it, baby
Well, shake, shake, shake
Shake, shake
Shake, shake, shake
Shake, shake, shake - Видеоклипы
Cummings, wow! One of the most amazing rock lead singers! The Guess Who, what a band!!!!
OMG!!! What an experience to just listen to this song! But live..... Hell yeah!!!!!👍🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
One of my favourite Band, with a songs like No Time.etc etc
This is perfection for a live performance!!
Great Band. Old school the Best
I feel like I'm decades younger, this came out in 1965, I was in Jr. High! Old lady now 66 will be 67 this month. Sure glad we have all this great music to listen to now
Im your age. Love The Guess Who!
older then you and still remember loving this song when I first heard it
Me too!❤
It's a crime that they aren't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
You can say that again!!!!
I know Rock and Roll for 45 years. A crime it is.
Screw the R&R HOF. I don't base what is worthy by what they think. Stupid criteria for membership
Agreed. Because if you look at half the inductees and compare them to The Guess Who it will drive you nuts.
HOW IS THAT GEEEEEEEEEEEZE !!! Depeche Mode goes in this year. YIKES !!!
I love Chad's and Burt's vocal's on this song, can't choose one over the other both are awesome. Love the Guess Who.
Can't get enough of Burton tickling those piano keys....and sometimes he goes ahead and bangs them! LOVIN every damn minute of it!
Nice.
I loved the Guess Who since '67 when I first heard "These eyes". This band is still to this day one of my top 5 favorites and Burton Cummins, what a voice!
Absolutely 💯
Still loving the guess who 5/22/24
What a treat finding this. Just wonderful.
I love this band!
Still can't get enough if this.
THE BEST group EVER from CANADA !!!
Send Bieber back!
Bill Brower
Always adored this band....fabulous..
Australia 😘😘
Well... they aren't quite Rush. But they are a great band.
And don't forget Bachman Turner Overdrive.
@@patriciablea6467 Never forget B.T.O. !!! They tak care of business and still, you ain't seen nothing yet !!! Randy is THE MAN !!
All of these songs I listened to and didn't know it was the The Guess Who!!!!! I love them.!!!!!!!#!!!
Me too, pleasantly surprised ❤
Wow! Amazing how clear and crisp and LOUD this is, for concert footage. Thank you!❤️
Never sounded better!!!!
Great post! I have always loved Burton Cummings' voice. So distinctive.
I love this song. Burton you rock!❤🎶
That song has been stuck in my brain since the 60s band was playing mud hole swimming hole in my home town stoughton wisc.father went to see them play block from home!
After so many years today i see the video n the feeling of awesomeness.
Music fans out there in the world we need all to get the word out there on line to sign the petition the Guess Who 4 the Hall, to get them in the rock and roll hall of fame in Cleveland in the States, that they hugely deserve!
One of the top five R&R voices of all time, IMHO
Cummings has an amazing rock voice. It blows my mind how tight he is live.
Unreal voice.
This is a tear jerker. One of my favorites. It touches a heart through and through.
How is it a tearjerker? It's not a sad song at all.
@@garymaidman625 For me it is, my good memories emerge when I hear them and I start crying. I miss my youth and everything and I can't go back.
Truly the first GREAT Rock and Roll song that reached out of the radio with that driving beat and grabbed me. My introduction to the Guess Who that would foster a love for this, forever great rock bands of all time.
Yeah, Johnny Kidd had reached out of the radio 5 years earlier in 1960 to British fans. Lead is impersonating JK's voice. Should have been sued.
Just saw Bachman Turner in Victoria May 26th, 2014 at the Royal Theater and they played this. Randy said this was the first song that got him on the radio. Great stuff - and at 70 Randy blew me away! They guy is an amazing guitarist!
yes he is a Canadian legend the guess who Canadas first major rock band
Saw BTO at Cobo Arena in Detroit when they opened for Bob Seger-they were booed repeatedly, although they weren't too bad.
Got to see Burton and Randy in a small venue near Omaha around 1987 or so. Great stuff. My wife always said TGW was her Fav group.
#1 voice of all time
The lead singer on this song is Chad Allan. This song was recorded before Burton Cummings joined the group in late 1965.
Thanks for watching!
John
the lead on this video is cummings
yes, and Cummings' piano, unfortunately, drowns out Randy's great guitar solo that was on the original hit record
The record was way better. Better than the Johnny Kidd original.
Are you delusional? Burton Cummings was introduced, sat at the piano and sang the song. Who is Chad Allan?
@@deanquackenbush8295 Who is Chad Allan?? Chad Allan was the founder of this group (in 1962)!! And the first two names of the group were "Chad Allan and the Reflections" and then "Chad Allan and the Expressions", before becoming The Guess Who.
"Shakin' All Over" came out in 1965 under the name "Chad Allan and the Expressions", before they became The Guess Who, but their great fame was achieved as The Guess Who.
Of course Burton Cummings is the lead vocal in this video.
My favorite song by The Guess Who , first saw them in 1965
You guys are amazing!!!❤❤❤
Amazing ❤❤❤
Also here is an interesting fact:
Performed many times by The Who, (sometimes in a medley with "Spoonful"), perhaps most famously at Woodstock in 1969 and on Live at Leeds in 1970. In Randy Bachman's autobiography, when he met Who bass player John Entwistle, he was told that people constantly got The Who and The Guess Who mixed up. Tired of being yelled at for not playing the song, The Who started to just to keep the crowd happy. Bachman responded that The Guess Who had the same reasons for having to play My Generation
BURTON.... Timeless........ yeahhhhhhh !! ♫♪♫♫
Great group of guys...
60s -70s Rock n Roll ...Best music of all times EVER!!
Super concert tunes by the Guess Who😎
This concert was in 1983. Thanks for watching!
John
this song reminds me so much of Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Same kinda growling howling wailing, and ROCKING. Rocking so HARD.
Of all the various groups that've done this song...these guys did the best version of it ever. At least in my opinion anyway.
It is the most basic and elementary Rock and Roll song. It expresses the most basic and elementary emotion of a young teenage boy in the presence the girl that awakens him. It is perfection! 😃
I dig Johnny Kidd and the Pirates original version
It is very good. check out Wanda Jackson w/ Jack White's version on David Letterman.
The Who's version is the best one imo
@@johnbeckman8916 one of the best rock voices ever!
Awesome song guys Thankyou
How Cool is this!
Thank u 4 the info because I have loved this band a very long time
I love it! First heard this on AM radio back in '65.
Gawd, how old am I?!!
Grew up in Winnipeg watching these guys awesome
very cool !!!!!!
I went to a general admission show at like 2 in the afternoon to see them in Memphis. We were early and were right down in front. The little girlies in Memphis really liked this band. They were throwing flowers at them. The stage was covered in flowers. It was a good show.
HOW is this song not on their Greatest Hits ????
Music like this keeps me going.
I love these guys!!!
Donnierockavenue brought me here, love from BC!!!
Was there. loved it!
Damn.... they freaking rocked!!!!
I was there !
superb
The 2nd best Guess Who concert behind Running Back Through Canada. We need to start a petition for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Shame) for these guys especially Burton and Randy.
Frget that R&R hal of fame. It don't mean anything because it seems that membership is for sale.
I really like this version, I know Chad sang the original. Wish I was there. There is a vhs of this show and a double lp (don't think its on cd). I saw the Guess Who reunion tour in 2002, they are my favorite band. Thank you!
AMAZING SONG!
God I Loved MY TIME and MY MUSIC!!!!!!
Back in the day Burton had a top three voice!!!
giggles piano fever😁🤘
My favourite Winnipeg band of all time 👍🇨🇦
Wow! relive my teenage years of the sixties! 👍🏻👍🏻
🎵🎵GREAT 🎵🎵
Saw Gary Petterson last night with the Guess Who. Did a fine job with Shakin all over!!
Sigh!! One of my favorite songs! Can't help shedding a tear or two everytime.
The Who version makes the Guess Who look like beginners.
Thanks for uploading. Burton Cummings is singing it in the style of Chad Allen; the guy he replaced in The Guess Who.
So is Chad Allen who sing this song originally? Found out in the last year it was the Guess Who. Did not know.
@@debbiesims138 Yes, that is Chad Allen (rhythm guitar) and Bob Ashley plays the piano. Burton was not on the original recording, but he sings this song just like Chad Allen.
I love it when they raise the flag, and when the singer is acting all govy on the piano.
BURTON ROCKS THIS ONE!
@m1kewithaone Both the Who (1970) and the Guess Who (with Chad Allan, 1965) did a kick-ass version of this song. I am a Who fan myself, and I do like their version. The Guess Who also kicks ass with the song as well.
I have seen them on stage--and "Shakin' All Over"
Love the Guess Who's version of this as well the original! My band Nostradamus used to do a version too. Will post here.
Yes, that's Gerry Peterson, actually the only member to stay with the band throughout its original incarnation (circa 1964-75).
@johnniefive This was put together from two shows at the CNE Bandshell in Toronto in 1983. Thanks for watching!
John
I have always said if I could have anybodys voice in the whole world I would pick Burton’s
Burton, Paul Rodgers, Roger Daltrey-tough choice.
out standing singer
who likes Randy Bachman?
Me!
What’s not to like?
He is actually a great musician.
BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE.
I do one of the best song writers and performers from Canada.
These guys were the best, bar none! The "new" Guess Who just doesn't have it without Burton singing lead.
One of the BEST
wow! thx!
I love Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman! This is not the original but I'll take it! ♥
Just wow.
I've seen pub rock bands here in England that would play this lot under the table with this number.
Yes, we know that face, and NOT JUST IN TORONTO.
BURTON !!!!!! xxxxxxx
A W E S O M E DUDES...ROCK on brothers....
Love you BC
ONE OF THE BEST GO-GO DANCE SONGS I EVER DANCED TO. MADE ME LOTS OF MONEY. THANK YOU "THE GUESS WHO" YOU CATS ARE FIRE🔥
These guys are good!
This is the best version of that song.
This is so good!!
Wow.i know some artist who dooesnt rock that hard live when the years go by.but not them!not who? guess who?! not the mighty Guess Who!yes!they sound incredible here and they look incredible here with passion and grace. even that this is 1983.because every year is good for them.and the year 1983 was their year!i love this version of the song and i love this band!!
The Who also did a version - along with a few 3 piece (drum, bass and guitar) bands, but this one caps them all.
This one is definitely great, but not technically a three piece with the keyboard, and I personally like The Who's version best, just because it's the heaviest cover I've heard of this song.
The Who said people thought they were the ones who did this version so they decided they might as well do a version that actually was theirs.
TGW they nailed it here whether it's Chad or Burton song rocks
I'll give these Canucks straight aye's...They rockin' it
Front Row Baby !
WOW!
Yes it is! Randy Bachman was a member of the Guess Who before forming Bachman Turner Overdrive. Thanks for watching!
John
kick asssss
LOVE ❤❤❤❤
