That has got to be the most British way to place an order. There were at least 7 pleases in that single order!
As opposed to the most Canadian way to order...
I'm soaree, we would like a funnel cake, I'm soaree. Yeah, regular, I'm soaree. We would also like an Oreo churro, soaree eh. Soaree, we also want a deep fried Oreo, eh. We also need a pop, soaree. Yeah, just one, eh. No, that is aboot all we need. Soaree. Eh.

What does saying please have to do with being British ?
@@kaydod3190it isn't about saying please. It is how many times that said please in a really short conversation. 😂
The fun part of eating this stuff is when you inadvertently inhale some powdered sugar when you take a bite, and that causes you to cough a bunch of times, which then blows powdered sugar EVERYWHERE...all over your clothes, face, table, floor, etc.
This reminds me of the morning before school when my best bud and I was at his kitchen table eating a bowl of cereal before the bus arrived. We were being our silly selves and he laughed which caused him to sneeze or cough then cereal and milk shot out of his nostril onto the table. That was a science/anatomy lesson I didn’t know I was going to get that morning. I was legit traumatized for a few minutes. 😂

Back in the day when I worked as a mechanic for a trucking company, we got a new safety officer. He'd never been a safety officer before, so he was watching a lot of videos and reading a lot of books about truck driver safety. In one of them he was told to look for white powder in the mustache or beard of employees as a sign of drug use. He thought this was genius (it isn't) and told half the drivers and shop guys about it. Note that _everyone_ working there had a beard or mustache. The next day one of the mechanics brought in a huge box of powdered donuts. The first guy he saw the safety guy about had a fit. Then he saw another guy, and another one. It took him until lunch time before he figured it out.
I once sneezed as i was chewing and had it come out my nose. Flushing your sinuses out sucks.
Hearing the “Mission: Impossible” theme, I kept thinking your food was going to self-destruct in five seconds….
After they ate endless amounts of fried batter, the self-destruct sequence is caused by their clogged arteries.
It's like they're on a mission to find the tastiest foods.
😂😂😂
Their colons may have afterwards
😂😂😂😂
Always fun to eat food you absolutely never should eat
It tastes so good you can't even feel the diabetes coming on.
Keep in mind that this is viewed as "junk food" in the USA, not proper food. The funnel cake is a longer standing tradition in "fun fairs" as you call them (decades old). It's the experience of eating warm dough with the powdered sugar, you just pull it apart, share it with your loved ones. The fried Oreo, or fried Twinkie, or fried cheesecake, etc. was a more recent novelty at fun fairs, something else for kids to beg for (and grown kids too). it's nice to see that your family enjoyed your visit. I can't imagine someone being more polite than how you interacted with the counter person.
I think they kinda realize that! You can get stuff like deep-fried mars bars, deep-fried pizza, etc at chip shops in the UK
@@coyotelong4349Damn. That sounds good.
Yeah, funnel cake is something you have just a few times a year.
Knott's Berry farm Funnel cakes. 🤤
@@HoosierJedi I have them every week ... then again, I'm 800lbs 😜
I have to thank you two because you got me through a tough time in my life. Watching you two through my chemo and immunotherapy made it much easier. James and Millie...Thank you!!!!!! I am now cancer-free! Keep up the good work and keep bringing smiles to our faces. By the way, I lived in San Antonio for 5 years.🤗🤗
that Mission:Impossible music playing in the background was hilarious 😂😂
Why?
Deep-fried. That means it is right. Deep-fried ANYTHING is great. No matter how much they batter it.
James: "That is clogging your arteries. That is definitely clogging your arteries."
All of us: 👀
I can tell you direct from the lips of the creator of the deep fried Oreo, Chicken Charlie, it's literally just an Oreo dipped in pancake batter and deep fried. Super simple.
Funnel cake is basically fried pancake batter poured through a funnel into the oil.
Similar. Not same
Funnel cakes are the best.
I like them with sugar and cinnamon.
Now i want one! The county fair can't come fast enough.😁
I don't know about that, Elephant Ears are a strong contender.
Fully loaded Knotts Berry Farm funnel cakes with either strawberry or boysenberry with vanilla ice cream.🤤
@@JoshuaMartian-go3tm Oh no! You are getting me hungry for funnel cakes!
I'd go straight for the funnel cake. Yum.
Not much for sweets but funnel cake is too awesome to pass up.
I love how fast you guys settled into your trip. You looked so relaxed and comfortable being in the US from the start.
Archie is so handsome. Such a precious little guy. Those blue eyes of his are hypnotizing.
Funnel cake is definitely one of those traditional fairground foods that is just so fun to eat and very delicious. The powdered sugar gives it the perfect amount of sweetness. Deep fried oreos (and anything else) are good as well, but there's just something about funnel cake that makes it the quintessential American summer fairground food. I have so many great memories of eating funnel cake while sitting on a blanket in a field watching fireworks on the 4th of July.
So polite when ordering!
I was checking the comments to see if anyone else noticed the sheer number of pleases in that order. Imagine them ordering for a group of 8!
And?
I hope you went to Boudin for clam chowder in a bread bowl & Ghirardelli for chocolate.
They got the Chowder but not the bread I was sad they missed out on the best sourdough on earth lol
@@justinw7155 there's one around the corner from my house. They should have asked some locals before coming here on what to eat an where. They could have ate a kimchi burger at Gotts or a crab sandwich at Swann oyster bar.
Yeah, we put so much sugar on stuff diabetes has become a national pastime! This is why you don't want to visit America too often! Give Archie a big hug from his old Texas uncle!
I've never had a fried Oreo or an Oreo churro, but I've had funnel cake many times over the years. Love it.
Archie is a mini Millie with James's eyes, such a cute lil guy. I hope you guys had fun in America.
The ones in this video looked to be too thick so the second ones are probably the correct ones. The best deep fried carnival food are the candy bars. It melts the bar and gives it a different texture.
I would say the best deep fried carnival foods are the elephant ears, or the cheese, or the fries, or... 😂
try a funnel cake topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream!
You must try deep fried dill pickle Chips, and deep fried green beans they are amazing savory appetizers.
Love funnel cakes! Would always be my first choice.
It is not clogging your arteries...you have them at fairs and carnivals they are not part of anyones daily diet.
Funnel cakes are fire, you can't have a fair or carnival without them
funnel cake with fresh strawberries and whip cream is so good.
Either way of doing deep fried Oreos is correct. When the Fair comes to my home town every year, that is the only reason I attend…..to get some deep fried Oreos!
You guys look like you had so much fun! I’m glad!
I want to thank you for not OVER ADVERTISING paytrion. It seems like every channel that gets big starts mentioning paytrion a million times every video. Then they start saying special stuff only on paytrion. It makes me feel inferior when they bring it up constantly. I get promoting but man it gets old. I leave those channels I get so annoyed! Like the channel you can’t review. They are ridiculous with it.
And thanks for just putting it all out later!
Now you understand the term "JUNK FOOD" SOOOOO GOOOOD😂😂😂😂
You have discovered 3 things on this trip. How good our food is, which explains why we are getting rather chunky, and why we are so awesome, lol!
So being morbidly obese is awesome?
We're going to the LA County Fair this Saturday, we've had funnel cakes before, but oreo churro and fried oreos are something we need to look for when at the Fair. I enjoyed watching your video today! Peace. ☮️
Bro you tore that fried oreo up 😂
Deep fried Reese’s peanut butter cups! Tried those for the first time last year.
I'm an 🇺🇸 and the only thing I've had before that you ordered is the funnel cake.
You can make deep fried oreos at home, use pancake batter,.dip in cookie and fry in vegetable oil. You can google how then cover with powdered sugar
As a lifelong native to the Bay, glad to see you made it out here! Hope ya had hella fun!
Love a good Funnel Cake...can never get enough of them!
Funnel cake and coffee!
I love funnel cake. My husband and I get one to share at the start of summer every year.
Need to try an elephant ear, mainly at Summer fairs...like funnel cake but better, with cinnamon sugar coating
It seems that now I'm older, i only go to our county fair for the corn dogs, indian tacos and funnel cakes!
When you said you were going into the Oreos first, I was like that is going to be the hottest since it just came out. Deep fried anything you have to let cool down a few minutes or you could burn your mouth. Yes speaking from experience lol
How can you tell a local from tourists…. Beasleys are in short sleeve (clearly used to colder temps) and everyone else in long sleeves 😂 I’m not sure if the Beasleys would survive in the summers here lol
There is reason they came in April 🤣
The way that a funnel cake is made is using a funnel with a wider filler tube. Using a thinner cake batter with baking powder. Heat cooking oil to 350°F. Fill the funnel with cake batter. Drop the batter into cooking oil. As the cake batter cooks it will rise to the top. Flip over once during cooking. When golden brown set aside to drain the oil. Powder sugar or chocolate sauce on top. Even better is to make chocolate gravy. Recipe for chocolate gravy is on line.
Funnel cake is one of my favorite treats, and I only ever get it at parish festivals, or occasionally a theme park. I might even skip a parish festival for a another if they aren't serving funnel cakes that year.
Side Note: I'm from a very concentrated Catholic area and each church parish has a festival in the summer to help raise money for the church and school connected to it.
For a real treat you have to fried deep-fried pickles.
I could have put down that entire funnel cake. It has been ages since I have had one. So good
I love making homemade funnel cakes.
Texas must be the deep fried capital in the US. At the Dallas county fair you can buy a deep fried stick of butter and deep fried pickles.
Love funnel cakes. They are available with many different toppings. My favorite is pecan caramel.
You could dip the deep fried Oreos in some ice cream. The best is soft serve vanilla
Fried oreoes, funnel cakes and churros it's a long donut thin,.rolled in sugar after frying I believe theyre a Cuban delicacy. They only sell them in Cuban sandwich shops here
I love funnel cake. !!!
Funnel Cake is the bomb!!!!! HANDS DOWN ❤
Deep fried Oreos and funnel cakes is made with pancakes mixed
Some kind of fruit topping/pie filling on the funnel cake is the way to go. Cherry is my favorite.
Funnel cakes are my absolute favorite!! I've never had a fried oreo but I use to get them for my wife near where we lived at Lexington Market in Baltimore. She LOVED them but they were definitely smaller and with a larger oreo to dough proportion. I will have to give them a try sometime.
I've been to San Francisco before....every place does a different amount & type of batter for oreos....funnel cake is eaten by ripping it apart....I love to put chocolate syrup & strawberries & whipped cream on top of the powdered sugar....churros should be crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside but light....y'all need to try an original churro....there's a Mexican restaurant that has mini churros stuffed with Bavarian Cream
Deep fried Snickers needs to be added to your list!
I really wish I knew you two were gonna be in town, I would’ve invited you to eat at the restaurant I work at, next time you’re in the Bay Area and want a good meal please reach out!
Funnel cakes are delicious. I'm so happy you two got try them. 🤩👏👍
that looks good for a sweet treat every now & then
I like funnel cakes with strawberries. Blueberries too, but those stands are hard to find.
The funnel cake originated in the Amish regions of Pennsylvania (originally a yeast dough before they developed the baking powder version), then spread across the Commonwealth and eventually the country. It's something you're almost required to buy at a booth on wheels at any local fair, or an amusement park snack stand... maybe as dessert after you've had a corn dog.
I like the cinnamon and sugar elephant ear! That’s what we call funnel cake 😂
Funnel cake is the bomb. It's my favorite
Oh I’ve been there when I was a kid I loved it
So happy you enjoyed! I'm not diabetic, but felt like i needed a shot of insulin after watching this!😂😂😂👍
I love Pier 39!! I hope you tried the clam chowder while you were there!! Is The Music Box Company still on the Pier? I Love San Francisco -- I live in Ohio, but we we would go every year when we lived in Phoenix - but my sister and I are going back next year!! We are going to include Solvang and just do the remembering of our childhood!! LOL Hope you went to Ghirardelli while you were there too!
Funnel cake is one of my favorites and a standard when we go to the Fair!! YUM You got it Millie - just pull off the chunks!
Deep fried peanut butter and jelly is my fave
That made my stomach hurt just watching you. I don't eat deep fried anything but glad you enjoyed it.
My first thought when you showed the oreo ball was that there was way too much batter. That said, I'm from San Antonio...looking forward to seeing the Fiesta food show.
Funnel cakes r the best!! Never tried deep fried Oreos, oreos dunked in milk delicious! Hi from San Antonio Tx! Sorry missed y'all, did c y'all walking on St Mary's and Travis Street! It's so cool to c y'all here. Hope u enjoyed 😅 and glad u went to Fiesta here, festive huh? lol. Now it's 90 degrees lol. Love Archie ❤️ adorable
It's not that hard to find deep fried oreo's or deep fried anything in the states. I can find them at 3am. We don't have funnel cake in my area, we have fried dough. It's basically the same thing taste. I love it with powdered sugar.
San Francisco has to be the one of the most expensive places in the America to buy those things!
funnel cake is one of my top favorite things to eat haha
Deep fried Oreos and deep fried cheesecake are dangerously delicious fair food!😅
Yes, the deep-fried Oreos in this video were crazily battered. They should not look that way, the batter is typically much thinner and lighter.
The best deep fried is deep fried Turkey
Yeah, there's a reason why obesity, diabetes, and high cholesterol are common health problems in the United States. However, delicious food brings lots of happiness; and we tend to die very happy. 😊
Funnel Cake is my favorite! Around here they also sell what’s called “Elephant Ears” which are similar to Funnel Cakes. We always get one at the fairs and share it and we always just dig in with our fingers, no knife or fork needed. Glad you enjoyed them. ❤
I was gonna say that those deep fried trees seemed way to heavy battered, then current times james came on and said it too ;)
Funnel cakes are fair/carnival/amusement park food. They taste better outdoors.
Funnel cakes are good with some sort of fruit sauce...
This fair food is sort of the American version of a chip shop.
i love funnel cakes
Oreo “churr-io”. lol
Fresh funnel cakes with fresh powdered sugar is absolutely a yes. Oreo cookie anything is a no.
Fair food!
Hi, Archie!
Deep fried oreos that you get at a festival or at a State Fair like at The Ohio State Fair I find feel very heavy on the stomach. It is not my favorite thing. I must say my favorite deep fried thing would be deep fried mozzerella cheese sticks that you dip in warm tomato marinara sauce.
No not fish style batter that usually contains beer. It's closer to pancake batter and there's just enough powdered sugar on it do not take it off. They are fried well there isn't oil drilling from.them that I can see
Did you deep fried pickles? So good when done right! I can’t stand deep fried Oreos is beyond sweet for my liking! Glad you gotta experience everything
I love funnel cakes. But you definitely share them because eating a whole one by yourself is a zillion calorie heart attack waiting to happen.
I love funnel cake.
Yea! Funnel cake my fav!
It's not cake, it's called a cake because.its. round and flat. It's the size of a single cake layer. It's made with batter.
