Great video. Have the exact same washer. I almost killed it while pressure washing my boat and it fell in the lake. Drained all gas and oil from it. Pulled plug and sprayed WD 40 inside so while attempting to get it going again wouldn't cause damage to the piston. Left the plug out for a day and also left the oil fill plugs out too. Partially filled with fresh gas and oil. Got it started after some work, let it run for 10 minutes then drained it completely again. Filled with another round of fresh and it runs as well if not better than it ever has and that was 5 years ago.
@@Sparty1966grad hey sparty! What a story! Thanks for sharing my friend!
“HEY CAN I BORROW YOU POWER WASHER .” Awesome, 👍👍👍👍👍
Hahaha sure lol! A lot of people asking for it already! Have a good weekend bud!
I have the same washer for the past 3 years nothing but good luck with it. Alot of power in that unit. Changed all the fitting to quick disconnects
Awesome! Good to hear! Thanks for sharing paug
Shout out to all of JB's neighbors for their awesome cameo appearances in this video! Especially Ginger!
I actually have an electric power washer (Ryobi) and I'm pretty happy with it...but I agree, gas is better for those bigger / tougher jobs.
I have some awesome neighbors my friend! They were all willing to jump right in on this one! Ginger ROCKS! Cool man! Do you get a lot of use out of it?
@@GarageGear Not as much as I should, LOL!
super informative...and funny, wish we lived closer so I could borrow your pawer washer. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Hahaha lots of people have been asking! Thanks for watching Shawn!
I'm usually too lazy to log in so I can comment. But this video deserves to be acknowledged. Excellent Job. Very professional and fun. And adding a dog is the right move 100% of the time.
Thanks for the positive feedback chuck! Appreciate you my friend !
strong work
Thanks for watching Larry!
Thank You Sharing
You got it! Thanks for watching!
Great info and super advice. All the charaters played their parts well. LOL
They sure did didn’t they?! Thanks for watching!
Good one JB.
Thanks Chuck! Have a good weekend bud!
If I every run into you in Buffalo, I WILL be asking to borrow your pressure washer lol. Got to snow blow today and did my whole blocks side walk plus some neighbors driveways to get that old gas out for the season! Thanks for another great video!
Hahaha you wouldn’t be the only one lol! Great way to burn the gas out of the snowblower! Thanks for being a cool fan PT! 👍
Sharing is caring..especially amongst neighbors… but we can leave Bob out..🤪 thanks for the tips! The one thing that drives my gears is that it takes up a lot of space for one/two uses a year.
Sharing is caring!! You are correct! Lol totally agree it does take up some space for only a few uses! Have a good weekend Gary!
Great info. Just borrowed the neighbors power washer to clean the sidewalks.
I’m sure they never looked better! Thanks for watching my friend.
@@GarageGear any experience with the Stihl power washers?
@@edrumsas5420 unfortunately no! Would love to test one out though! They make some quality equipment!
Can I borrow your pressure washer and nice sturdy ladder? LOL that was great of all your neighbors! Loved this episode 😄
Sure Salmomlox! I have some pretty AWESOME neighbors! Appreciate the positive feedback! Thanks for watching! 👍
I watched your video Saturday morning, added a comment, which I thought was praiseworthy and comical but I think forgot to send it. Anyways great informative content as usual JB! Now can I just borrow the dang thing? 😂😂
Haha hey Jay! Didn’t see a comment from you! I bet it was praiseworthy lol! You can borrow the pressure washer my friend! 😂👍 have a good week bud!
@@GarageGear haha...was just kidding JB. I actually have a Stihl electric one and just the house resided a month or so ago. Have a great day my friend!

Thanks Andrea! Ginger is our neighbor’s dog! She’s the queen of the neighborhood. Seriously, she’s in charge! Thank you for watching!
@@GarageGear your welcome. She had me laughing for a bit. 🌷
I watched a few videos and a bunch of pro's used LA's Awesome cleaner. I mixed it 50\50 with water. It worked well on the siding, but it took some of the paint off the gutters.
Thanks for sharing Dane!
Can I borrow your power washer? 😂
Taking the time to wash your house goes a long way to keeping things looking nice and up your curb appeal. Great tips JB!
You can my friend! Curb appeal is everything lol! What’s the plan for the weekend ?

😂Nice job!!!
Appreciate you Dave!
Hey can I borrow your pressure washer. LMAO. That’s was really well put together. 👍🙏👍🙏EPIC
Thanks electro! Lots of cool neighbors showed up for this one! 👍👍 Have a good weekend bud!
@GarageGear lol my customer asked her neighbor to borrow their powerwasher for me to clean her house lol
Hi JB, wonder if you can talk about generators to power homes when power outage, it's now more frequent.
About power washers, I use the cheapest 100$ ones since all pumps are now really fragiles n made in 🇨🇳
I might be doing some generator reviews down the line will see. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
Awesome! Everyone borrows mine, LOL! Side note, I bought a Southland Edger, needed for curb hopping. Has a 4 cycle engine. And I can NEVER restart it when its hot! WHY! Driving me crazy. I literally have to let it cool down! Then cold start choke to start!
That might be an issue with the magneto! Seen a similar problem on a mower before! Usually you just replace them! Is it brand new?
@@GarageGear brand new. First time using. Then the second time did same thing.
@@chrisfilipdias ok can you still return it?
@@GarageGear threw box out already. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦. I have a thing about these huge cardboard boxes and styrofoam. Pet peeve. Oh well, I'll take the Loss
@@chrisfilipdias maybe you could try selling it as is.?
Bro... just this weekend I needed to pressure wash my (metal) gazebo. I also recently got one of those things on wheels to do the undercarriage of your car. So I [popped the 90 deg end on and had at it. Whipped myself the same way! And mine's electric. I ended u steadying myself on the edge of the roof and it worked ok. A 45 deg thing might be less squirrely, and all you need for a house anyway!
Hey Ben! Thanks for sharing this my friend! Those extensions were so flimsy! Did you get that gazebo clean?
@@GarageGear yeah man it’s good. We call it the she-shed haha. It had moss growing on the north side so it needed it! They’re a little flimsy feeling because of the slop in the quick connect fittings, that’s why a good telescoping one is better, I think. At least for that. I like having a shorter nozzle for washing the cars. But I’m working off an adapter to the cheap handle that came on my (hand me down) unit. Some day I’ll get a new one with a nice flexzilla hose and a stubby gun. So much easier with a foam cannon or getting under things ya know?
@@BenNawrath oh yeah definitely!
You should do a review on the Cub Cadet
21 in. 173 CC Kohler Engine Rear Wheel Drive 3-in-1 Gas Self Propelled Walk Behind Lawn Mower
Ok, thanks for the video idea and for watching!
I like when he said can I barrow your pressure washer
Many want to use it! Thanks for watching glitch! 👍👍
I was amazed when I found out that there is a pressure washer simulator for PC. I thought Lawn Mower Simulator was a bit ridiculous.
Oh wow! Didn’t know they had that! Cool! 👍
Recommendations (how to) to oil changes and winter storage? Similar to snowblowers?
Perhaps I could do a video on that coming up!
Looks like engine oil and pump oil? Older gas powered. My late brother-in-laws…it may be a project. Thanks. Great videos.
@@DavidStauffacher ok I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks my friend!
So if you have a 4000 psi washer, do you adjust the settings for vinyl siding? Or just keep a distance? Thanks for the info!
Thats starting to get up there in PSI. I would keep some distance or tone it down if possible 👍
@@GarageGear what would you recommend personally?
@@TheLurker_666 well what do you use that heavy duty pressure washer for?
@@GarageGear nothing just yet! But I plan on doing residential, driveways , decks and fences.
@@TheLurker_666 cool my friend! I would test the unit out and see how she does. In my experience anything over 3000 psi may be too strong and do damage to siding. Everything else it would clean super fast.
informative & funny, thanks bud
You got it killbasa!
Should you be careful not to spray pointing up at the vinyl siding where two pieces meet as water may get behind and wet the insulation? Thanks for a very informative video.
I do recommend trying your best to avoid spraying in crevices. Sometimes it’s unavoidable. Best to be brief and I usually do this on a hotter day so it dries quick.
I noticed that you had a green nozzle tip on your gun. My green nozzle is 25 degrees. Is that what you recommend?
Yep so is mine! 25 degrees! That’s the one generac recommends for cleaning. Thanks for watching Derek!
What about algae / green on my siding? Vinegar and water? Bleach?
Hey Weiseguy! If the pressure washer isn’t taking it off I linked a cleaner in the video description! 👍
Ive been thinking of upgrading to gas.
Got a lot to pressure wash?
@@GarageGear Not a lot. Just SOMETIMES need a lil more power.
@@BigDaddysGarage I hear ya on that! 👍
I use 30 Second Cleaner
Thanks for sharing Ken!
Love your videos. As a true PW beginner two questions. How "adjustable" is the pressure on this machine? What is the appropriate setting for vinyl siding?
Hey piney! The pressure is not adjustable on this specific unit! On other generac models there are adjustment knobs for the pressure. Take a peak through their line up! I just hit the house with the full pressure!
I did indeed went with the 7122. Pressure adjust knob AND a soap tank.😄 I gave you credit in the "where did you hear about Generac" section.
Um
I feel kinda bad asking this
But can I borrow your power washer?
🥺🥺
Hahah sure Brady velvet! Thanks for watching lol! 👍😂
Hilarious!
Haha thanks for watching apex!
Hey man, can I borrow your pressure washer?
Also: What the correct answer to someone asking to borrow your pressure washer?
Hahaha great question. I usually just say no. Then I tell them I have issues starting it. (Lie) I always worry about them leaving it running with no water going through the pump. That destroys them.
Yep, that's the downside to buying good equipment.
Oh yeah! Everyone’s asking lol! Thanks for watching!
Any 90 degree fitting on the wand will make it kick back
Yes! But the flex on all the connections was ridiculous. Leaks everywhere! 👎
Hey, can I borrow………..😊
@@gabe5946 take a number lol
Remember if you borrow something you must return it in better condition than when you got it.
💯 agree! Thanks for watching vsm!
For the cost of pressure washer, extension poles, it's cheaper to call a professional to do it.
Thanks for watching
Nothing worse than a neighbor asking to borrow your pressure washer (again and again)
Yeah if they borrow something multiple times they really should go out and buy their own ya know! Thanks for watching! 👍
All that and he didn't mention what tip to use
I typically use a wider spray tip! 👍
Can I barrow your pressure washer, snowblower, lawn mower, @ lawn edger?? Tnkx bud!!
Swing on by Yale! Thanks for watching bud! 👍👍
I'm sorry but if I was you I said no bad very bad experience letting borrow my last pressure washer
lol been there before too!
good video except for constant interruptions of people saying, " can I borrow your pressure washer."
Thanks for watching
I let nature wash my house 😅
Lol have a good weekend, brother!
Did you really install half a shutter on each of two windows?
Came like that on the house! Many houses in the neighborhood have corner windows with one shutter.
@@GarageGear but you left it like that?
NO
Hahaha thanks for watching!
That is totally inexistent in massachusetts. Neighbors don't talk to each other or when the most a nudging with the eyebrows or wiggle their head as a" good morning "or" how aren't you doing "just so they don't ask the for the power washer.
Thanks for sharing
Wrong on" top down".....bottom up first shot then top down to avoid water lines
Thanks for sharing
I stopped watching after the 37th cut to someone asking if they can borrow your powerwasher
Thanks for watching
This is not good advice as far as cleaning a home with vinyl siding. Pressure is a no go, oxidation and efflorescence will take place.
Use sodium hypochlorite mixed with soap, rinse well before, let sh and soap dwell for 15 minutes, rinse very well after
Thanks for sharing
Yep, someone with a brain lol its what I do cheap and effective.
I would highly suggest hiring a professional instead to wash your home. Professionals use a technique called softwashing, which effectively cleans and disinfects your home's exterior surface rather than just blasting off the organics. You will get a much better clean and not risk damaging your home's siding by forcing water in unwanted places, disturbing any oxidation that may be present, damaging any surface such as stucco, viynl ect. Please do your own research!
Thanks for sharing
You ain’t going to ruin your siding with 2900 psi and 2.4 gpm unless you’re siding is already half shot
@@adrianjackson4561what about 3400 2.6gpm? I saw a post on Reddit where guy had blasted his oxidation off his vinyl and no I’m scared lol
@@freshlandoI just bought the same one. siding is old, some spots loose. guess its just the pool deck. afraid I’ll blow the siding off!
Loser
Dont do this! This is NOT the right way to wash your siding! You can use a pressure washer, but if you use it to blast off dirt and grime, you will destroy your siding, and blow the seals in your windows!
To quote the video "be sure to do your homework..."
