When I first saw you i thought "another meat head just trying to flex how rich he is with all his bikes" I was so wrong and I apologise for being so quick to judge. You come across as someone who works hard and pushes forward when times get tuff. a little deep I know but I just wanted to thank you for your videos. I've learnt a lot from you and not just about custom ebikes :)

As a lifelong motorcyclist that has just retired and baught myselfe an E bike all I can say is ,that the big smile on your face is the same way I felt when I built my first Harley .You have created something very special and unique and I want one ..lol ..well done .

I have been dreaming of fabricating my own concept for a micro-folding and portable E-scooter, but I have no CNC equipment of my own yet, and no access to anyone else's shop at this time. It’s so good because you’re using parts that aren’t proprietary to a specific brand or make. It’s all stuff that anybody can get hold of.

I have the same battery. The case/cradle are made by Reention. Some may belive the battery case is Hailong but its the other company Reention. You are smart to drill under the little box area of the cradle Steve. I do too and in fact building a 29er with a BBSHD motor right now with this battery.
Pro tip is...for most secure mount of your battery to your bike frame, buy a 'Triple Bob' bracket made by Grin Industries out of Canada. It goes under the three elongated holes of the battery cradle and can even use industrial zip ties...very wide ones...for extra security or not. The cradles on these batteries are flimsy and can use the support of this well engineered bracket. Then...make a small aluminum spacer...about 5mm thick or so and place it under the box section and screw it via M5 Riv Nut to the frame in the position you are about to drill.

What a cool build! Glad you were able to find a way to bring it all together. One suggestion though for next time, consider using blue painters tape. The blue painters tape does not have as strong adhesive as the tape you were using. Cheers from the USA
I had an old shovel head. 1982 FLHS, candy apple red with number 7 flake, gold pinstripes. I’d love to see an ebike like that!!

Putting the battery at the top of the frame will look great. Placing it just above the anime character would highlight the paint job!
Nice tidy insulation of the battery pack .The bike looks spot on.Shame you haven't got a bit more room under the back of the seat for a Harley bobber type leather tool roll to mount the controller in .
I have Kikker 5150 Hardknock 3/4 size Bobber and am seriously thinking of going electric having watched your superb build as it's basically a only around town and go to shop bike .

Mad looking bike, well done mate, if you're ever looking for a no drill solution in the future, Luna cycles sell a no drill kit, works a treat, although not as clean looking as this.. but still a good option. ATB.

Wow what a transformation from when you first bought it. It looks so cool going down the road and the fact that you can stand on it just makes it that much special must be one of a kind. *GRANDPA SAYS HE LIKES WHAT YOU'VE DONE* But says the chain looks like it may be stretched out so far that keeping it aligned to the sprockets may pose a problem when pedaling. He asked me to pass along a suggestion. He says you may want to weld in another foot pedal housing and mount a ten speed front sprocket. The ten speed front sprocket has two sets of gears so you can run one chain up to the front to the pedals and the other sprocket allows the other chain to go to the back wheel. You could cut the pedals off and use the two sprockets to run two shorter chains instead of one long wobbly chain.
Nice job, the engineers should be flogged, battery's are to heavy to only attach 50% of the mount, even if you 6 screws in that area. Cheers 🍻

How do you feel about the battery position which is quite large having all the weight on just the lock shaft. Could potentially fatigue over time possibly?

i dont bother with torque arms on a bike if the dropouts are steel and maxes 1kw, been 3 years now hasnt slipped a mm
