ID4 definitely needs improvements in the areas of software and wouldn’t hurt if they offered a longer range. Look-wise, I don’t expect much to change, perhaps some visual tweaks inspired by the styling of the new ID3 and ID7 would be nice!
All seats need to be heated, and there should be a heat pump. The windshield needs a direct heating defroster. It needs hardware switches for all common functions. It needs the NACS charging port, and that should be moved either the left rear (like all Tesla's) and/or to the front right corner; so it can be pulled in forward in a Tesla charging station and plugged in easily. A small frunk/froot on the RWD version would be a good thing.
Hello Neil! VW is developing a next-gen platform called SSP, which I believe would have a provision for a frunk. MEB models (including the future ID.Buzz) surprisingly don't have front storage. Heat pump was offered initially on the U.S.-bound units, but was stopped late last year - as you've pointed out, this is a feature worthy of a re-entry.
Hello Kevin! Yes, we're not expecting the changes to be part of the MY2024 ID.4 series in the U.S. As we've stated in the Pricing section, the release of the facelift is expected in the second half of next year.
@@user-de2wv8ri8n It is minimalistic, some like it, some don't. I don't like the interior on the ID's because it looks like a pile of cheap plastic combined with a toy like dash (Playmobil). Skoda does that much better, also VAG group.

The interiors of ID4 are junky. They need to use a more upscale fake leather like MBTex for the seats and doors.
Expect none of this to happen next model year.

Prefer Tesla Model Y. The whole ID serie is way too expensive, has software issues, poor battery management, etc. VW ist kaput...
