This is very true Jesus is the ultimate servant leader, storyteller, and the ultimate perfect man. I do pray that this demystifies the understanding of a man's role for many men who are still seeking to become husbands or who are already husbands and need guidance. I think it would be good now to have a follow-up to discuss the woman's role to support the man as the head.
Thanks Laycya. That is our prayer as well. Our video on submission does touch on some of the woman's role in supporting her husband but we will definitely look into doing a follow up specifically for this. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
Agree with this discussion , but here is a thought suppose they were married for years , at the time they were married they were not christians, years passed and the woman accept christ , but the man is still out in the world , how can he now lead the woman and his instructions are coming from a different source than the wife, how do you deal with that. Ps love the discussion as always.
Thanks for the question Sophie. Here's our take on such a situation: God's plan for marriage is for the husband to be submitted to Christ and the wife submitted to the husband - all submitted to God the Father (Eph 5:21-25). When the husband is unsaves, he is out of alignment with that plan. While he is still the head of the home, the role of spiritual leader shifts to the wife who is saved. Nonetheless, the wife should continue to honour and respect her husband, living with him in a way that ministers to him through her life, not just her words (see 1 Pet 3:1-7 which speaks to living with an unsaved spouse). We hope this helps.
We pray that this discussion inspires and encourages you to seek God first in your approach to your own marriage. God bless you.
