The leaving and cleaving process was a big thing for our marriage. As for me, I feared my parents growing up especially my dad and whatever they said really mattered to me. As I grew in the Lord and marriage the Lord removed that fear and taught me how to be more assertive through the Word and overtime my parents started respecting my marital decisions. The process takes time but with consistency and prayer it will get better.❤ Love the video guys!

I think leaving and cleaving is less about about caring for one’s self when one was living with parents and more more about decision making and authority... like gaining independence from the “mother country”.
