I love this game! My group has only played it a couple of times with the expansion, but it's left us wanting to play it everytime we gather. The version of this game we played looked way better than the one in this video though.
jaypob Yeah, that’s what it is. I just can’t adapt to the corporate-y feel, and long rules reading. My bad. It’s not like there’s 20 of those on here. Oh, and of course this is totally an upgrade to Wil Wheaton. Schmuck.
You mean you don't enjoy Becca Scott's overly dramatic game explanations and her..."Look at me! Look at me!! I'm into myself and you should be into me too!"...overall vibe?!? *Eyeroll*
yeah, 200CAD$ for the complete game. 100CAD$ for just the base. But since it's only on Kickstarter, you'd be crazy to only get the base, as the rest will be impossible to get afterwards.
So, the mechanics look solid enough for an abstract, with just enough luck through the lot card dealings to make it more family friendly. But talk about cost of miniatures. Like, 80% of the physical content is just the 3D building which could have easily been well-illustrated cardboard. Not that I don't like a pretty game, but when the plastic is just buildings...I have to wonder if it's really worth triple-digit pricing for a little bit of height...thats' the price of Gloomhaven right now. But worst of all, you don't even get a full game. The 5p "expansion," which currently requires a $60 KS upgrade to obtain, is basically an admission that's they couldn't secure appropriate pricing.
and yet I bought it and now have it on my table and DEFINITELY prefer having paid the price for minis instead of flat cardboard with much less visual appeal.
This is a $40 game with a $200 purchase price. There's not a lot of depth to the mechanics and seems to be largely relying on its visual and theme appeal to actually get backers. The ads and presentation of the game intrigued me but this game honestly does not seem like a gaming experience worth $200 unless you really got a thing for Roman engineering. Mini bloat is real.
Game doesn't interest me too much, but what really bugs me is that they obviously designed it for 5 players with a whole section of the game board devoted to being for 5-players, but then held those components back to sell as an add-on? That's like predatory DLC, not a fan of that decision.
It ended ages ago. Felicia Day sold G&S many years ago to Legendary Entertainment. Table Top is one of the shows that did not come back after that transaction. However, Game the Game is still a good show for watching people play board games. Becca does a great job.
@@TheMrTsavs yeah we just bought the house so I’m guessing it just now got delivered but my mom called the number of the owner on the box and he said he didn’t order it
Gamerofallgames Gamerofallgames Sadly, I’ve only just discovered Table Top today and I love it. Finding out it was cancelled broke me. Received mine today and the detail is amazing-can’t wait to play!

Every time I watch a game video on here I’m reminded of how cool TableTop was to watch.

Finally received my copy. What an amazing game
Geek & Sundry, great video! Enjoy your Tuesday!😍
Board game looks awesome; too bad I can’t afford it just by looking at the big ol background box

Put it on Lay-away with your Yellow Megaman!!
I love Becca.
So it’s New York 1901 mixed with Suburbia?

This looks like an ultra produced New York 1901.
I thought New York 1901 blended with Suburbia!

Mr. Bastos the whole campaign is packed with way too many day on expansions for the type of game this is
Yeah that's a valid point. I got it with the intention of getting the expansions anyway but it's definitely not a very moral format
or maybe just allowed some people to not spend $$ on a 5p expansion that new they didn't need 5p....?
This video was a bit early.. Im finally getting my copy tomorrow!
Super disappointed that the Be Prepared Villainous expansion was never played 😢😥😓
nerdy girl maybe later along the line.
Wait, is that the box at the right side of the screen?
Yep. Just got mine yesterday.
What happened to TableTop? Does Wil not do it anymore?
Stopped a long time ago I think. Don;t think WW even works at GS anymore. Could be wrong, however.

I can see the I am going to buy a little instead of a lot puns flying like chariots in this game.

Sorry I didn't get it. Was it a reference to "tu quoque mi fili"?
Is that box legit, because that is obnoxious.

Romulus wasn't a king. They should have called him a consol.

too expensive for a game that does not bring anything new to the table, too generic, nice presentation, though...
