This is hands down the best rules video I’ve ever watched. Usually I finish a rules video and then go start reading the rule book to try to understand how to play. After watching this video, I sat down and was able to play the game with only referencing the rules here and there.
Wow this video is amazing, your tone of speech, the actions being highlighted with animations and the logical order of play! Thank you so much I will definitely use this video for my first plays!
I’ve been in the hobby for 10 years now and your videos are my go to when I’m learning a new game. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into these videos
I had never heard of this game and I'm sure it will take take years to be available in Brazil (if ever), but I still had to watch the video, it is always fun!
You NEED to find it. It's so much fun and beautiful! And it teaches you the basics of making an alcohol and how each is different. I played the Brazilian woman and made the signature cachaca. It was just a good time!
@@NykkiLaneLane He doesn't NEED to find it. He doesn't live in the US where every game is available. But it should become available there eventually or check out the BGG marketplace for 2nd hand offers.
Update: now own the game thanks to your video! It's freaking gorgeous and learning from your visuals (and humour) has been wonderful as predicted :D Original post: Top-notch instructions and visuals! Your videos are entertaining even when I'm not interested in the game. Love how you do a great overview and then show cards in action and where they go. Plus tips on how to actually play and fix issues, so few do that in their videos! You made me interested in that game which I never would have looked at in details otherwise.
Great introduction and explanation on how to play. Liked how you started with the distill phase and left the market phase to the end. And thanks for the 'Details' section.
Can not agree more with the previous post. This is by far the best tutorial I've seen. I watch a lot of tutorials since my eye sight is not that great. I hope I find many more of your tutorials. 10 out of 10

Another phenomenal teach! The structure to this is perfect and your flow as smooth as a pint of Guinness. I also love how you always inject a bit of humour but it's never distracting and the quack "nope" sound gets me every time. You really know how to distil it down perfectly. ;) I only wish you were able to cover more games as you easily accomplish what others do in literally half the time. Just know that if there's ever a Nights Around a Table video for a game teach I don't bother watching anything else.
Distilled just started fulfilling in Australia and I was worried how I was gonna learn the rules but Nights in the shining armour came to the rescue. Thank you good sir!
I watched other rules videos for this game and then we played, referencing the rule books. We played a few rounds and loved it but realized that the rules books wasn't complete. We still had questions. Your video has cleared up those questions and a few we didn't realize we had. Thanks for this!
Fast response! We were unsure about what materials/ ingredients were reuseable vs needed to be discarded; that the signature recipe can only be made once even though you can buy, say, sugarcane juice in the premium market to make more of your signature cachaca; that the game goals should be checked every round and not just at the end of the 3rd round and the end of the game; and that when someone buys something from the premium market we replaced it in situ instead of sliding them down. At the end of the round, we put the right-most cards into the truck, slid it all down, and refilled it but during the round, we just refilled that slot that was bought. We checked the rules book (but we were chatting, excited to play, and new to the game so it's totally possible I missed it but we even read section aloud to each other. Again, thanks for this. Loved the graphics and way you explained everything. You've definitely earned my sub. @@NightsAroundaTable
Amazing explanation, thank you! I have PnP version printed and crafted, ready to play... and it has been like this for a few months, but now I feel like playing it finally :)
We're going to a friends birthday party this week. We were told this game is kicking things off at 11am, so I need this video to learn how to play it lol
We’ve been keeping our eye on the development process to market and this game seems right up our alley. Unfortunately we missed out on the KStarter so we’ll have our eyes out for a wider release. Cheers!!
i can see the connection! The soon-to-be-available retail copy will be missing a few bells and whistles that don't affect gameplay, but i think you might be able to grab some of those extras on the Paverson Games site if your heart yearns.
I've been watching this channel for a while; one of, if not your best, video from an instruction and tips perspective. Solid list of synonyms for booze too!
I may have missed it. Do you reference agua caliente in your apt and occasionally assonymic liquor references? Those were so smooth. Thanks for the teach.
I’d love to claim credit for saying something clever, but if i did, it was by coincidence (as usual). i’ve never had a drink in my life, and all of the references were researched, but i don’t remember that being one of them!
This looks like what I've wanted Viticulture and several beer brewing games to be. Here' to hope! BTW what happens if you end up with just yeast in the distill phase? Would it be "somewhat alcoholic" like Uncle Larry?
Did you used the same word for spirit twice in this video or is it different every single time? My English is not enough to comprehend it all. Amazing.
Ha! i tried to mix it up as often as possible. i even said "brew" a few times, controversially, because it produced some nice alliteration (but technically, spirits aren't brewed... they're *distilled*.)
Just got my (German) copy. Friday will be the day of the first play :) And you need to ship to other countries as well. I can’t use a German delivery address.
They did, after about a year. Still worth it, i'd say (and there's still some goo in the pen!) The trouble with that products is it's becoming harder and harder to find. My link already goes to a "product unavailable" page and i can't seem to pin it down. i've contacted the company that makes Compound W with the hope of finding a more reliable product, but they say none of their stuff has trichloroacetic acid in it. You can buy TCA on its own from a pharmacy... i just don't know how strong the concentration is in the pen, and i don't know what's an appropriate concentration to put on your skin.
Many would describe it as “mid-weight,” which isn’t everyone’s bag! Thankfully, there’s a game to all tastes. If you like the push-your-luck idea in Distilled, take a look at Port Royal or Quacks of Quedlinburg or Oh My Goods! for lighter takes on that idea. If you like the recipe fulfillment idea, Century: Spice Road does a great job at it, with fewer rules.

I've never seen a tutorial like this. Perfectly explained step by step, the graphics, the examples, you are a pro and deserve success.
Aw man - thanks so much!
Honestly, I own over 600 games. I've played 1000s over the years. This may be one of the overviews I've seen. And I've watched 100s. Superior!
How can this wonderful, concise, lovingly produced how-to-play only have so few thumbs up...?!

i can say the same for your comment!

Great teach! The game arrived at home today, another 6 hours of work before I can head home and crack it open. Can't wait!
Fantastic production value man! Great video!

Thanks, Keith!
Very clean walkthrough, sir - well done!
The writing on this video is top shelf.
i see what you did there!
Love how you distilled the rules.
How complex is this game really. Some times seems easy but at some other times...seems to fly way beyond my head
Great explanation, thank you!
Another great video, thank you!
This game sounds like good fun with a great theme.
Fantastic video
Dude, your videos are amazing 🔥
Thanks so much!
Giggle juice..lol. I also refer to it as wobbly pop
That’s one of the few i forgot to include!
Love this video - thanks!
Awesome video, thanks
Hope this means we are close to fulfillment!!!

So glad to hear it’s finally reaching people! (And to clarify, it’s not my game… i was commissioned by the publisher to make this video!)

His first step is admitting he has a problem.
Did your cholesterol spots return? Mine are horrible. I was wondering if it worth buying the pen?

Why is Russell Crowe teaching board games now?
My musical theatre bid in Les Mis didn’t pan out, and they would have cast me in the Gladiator sequel, but my character was already dead.
