Lot of distribution warehouses in Tracy. Safeway, Amazon, etc.
Actually 2 Amazon warehouse distribution centers in Tracy.
Safeway and Costco warehouses are the closest near the fire and Tracy Hills new home development/community! Amazon is across town, miles away!
Meh, they won't let the fire get to the businesses. Buy they are letting it burn at this point.

Florida and California both have this weird problem of too much natural disaster damage to infrastructure, but for different reasons. For California the problem are wildfires. For Florida, the problem is Hurricanes.

We all knew the El Niño driven rains would cause heavier biomass that will eventually be lit by nature or human. This is the nature of coastal desert.
Oh yeah _ so much fuel. And the cute idea of growing pollinator gardens also could prove a problem when the plants go dry. I have to cut everything once the grass and plants dry - and my few plants just have to be watered 2 times a day or they die too . Bummer

Yeah it came to our home and we were told to evacuate some homes made it but most were lost I hope mine is fine this is yours after I am at my grandmas right now and idk how my house is they haven’t told us it passed the highway

Why aren’t you out there with tractors creating brakes in the vegetation?
I live in Oregon, I see farmers out with tractors when we have fires like that creating barriers around the fire

I don't understand why these land owners won't do patch burn offs of about an acre or two at a time that are completely controlled with water trucks and disc fire breaks. It should be mandatory. It could be done right with education and care.

The rain is exactly what caused this it grew so much vegetation that there’s a lot of fuel for fires unfortunately that’s the cycle.

I guess the good news is that there is very little vegetation in the area, so as soon as the winds die down they can probably get a handle on the fire pretty quickly. There aren't any trees to explode.
