      We just did a video at Playa Buena in Guanacaste. It's right in front of Occidental Adults Only Resort. I can't speak for the resort as I haven't stayed there, but the beach is great and it's in the best location (IMO) for a vacation. ruclips.net/video/IlwF4RG6AZ4/видео.html

    what are the waves like for intermdediate surfer in middle of June

    • @sights.sounds
      @sights.sounds  Год назад

      I'm not a surfer, so take it for what I've seen. Tamarindo has great wave locations for beginners, and I've seen intermediate surfing out on the north end of the beach.
      Just north of Tamarindo is Playa Grande, which I've been to and there's advanced surfers there with bigger waves.
      As for the time of year, I'd expect the water to be less clear due to rainwater runoff out of the estuaries. As for the conditions per time of year, I'll inquire about that with some surfers I know.

      The waves are perfect for a beginner and intermediate surfer. They're not big enough for a real experienced surfer unless you want a lot of short rides.

    • @icysurfer1
      @icysurfer1 Год назад

      Can be quite big. But, you can find a smaller break if it is. Best time of year to surf in CR.

    • @icysurfer1
      @icysurfer1 Год назад

      @@christophermchale2971 The waves get quite big (well overhead) on Summer Swells from the S. In the other times of the year, the surf is smaller.

    How would you select those surfing classes? would you say they are all legitimate? I am wondering whether I should consider booking lessons or doing it when I arrive. You mentioned about 40 but online, I see like 60-65. Any tips would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

    • @sights.sounds

      There's tents all over the beach offering surf lessons. With those guys, we pay about 40. I'm sure if you book in advance with one of the schools that have a big building, it'll be more.
      I've never had an experience where they're not legit.

      @@sights.sounds The Surf instructors, are just "Guys" that surf. Some are really good, Some are OK, Some want to make a date with your daughter. All will teach young people how to stand up on the first session. Adults are a bit harder to teach. I'd say, if you do not live near a surfing beach at home, no price is too much for getting to surf. You (and your kids) will never forget it.

    Only good if your a gringo. The massage place shown is run illegally and workers are not licensed. Owner will extort money from you. Watch your wallet in this town.
