Fantastic dude. Happy you got a different car. You are right about the Schumacher being a menace to work on and make right. I struggled a long time with the L1. I got a TLR 22x-4. It’s a world a difference in driving and working on. Not many TLR dealers in your neck of the woods I imagine.
No, you are right mate. Not Many TLR dealers here. Modelsport sell them but parts are hard to come by. I would love a TLR though after having a Losi XX back in the day. A guy at Southport races one and pretty much dominates most people on his good days. First run of this car today and it went better with this one. Only problems I had was too much front end, and suspension tuning. Just got that a bit more tuned up as soon as I got home and hopefully run it again on Saturday. Cheers for tuning in my friend. Have an awesome week.
What a build! Can't wait to see you start running it. Hopefully it doesn't underperform on you. I've been told that a lot of racing comes down to the setup, and thus following a good setup can be critical when running it. That said, after you've put in a race (today I assume) look into a setup sheet from the associated website and pick one that seems to fit the types of tracks you're running. I have to find one now for an outdoor setup and you have the carpet version and thus are currently using the carpet setup (assuming). They have quite a few setups from top racers on their website when you lookup the manual/setup page for your car ... or for the D (dirt) version, which is meant for the rougher terrain the outdoor tracks present, rather than the smooth carpet the indoor tracks have. Ask one of the other racers at the track what setup sheet they're following. Doesn't have to be perfect, just as close as you can manage (spacer, linkages, pill boxes, shock positions, shock oils, shock springs hopefully, etc). I have both the dirt (D version) and the carpet (my sons car). Had to get extra parts to make the D version work on the carpet, and you've purchased a few extra parts to make the car work better on the outdoor track (as I have to do to my sons car ASAP). Next purchase ... 1/8 Ebuggy? Maybe try (ick) 1/8 Nitro? My local bud (Whom I've raced with for 30+ years) just bought himself the RC8B4e and is excited to race it right away. We have a big race in Kamloops BC next weekend I think, and he's revved up for it! He was comparing tire sizes and WHOA the tires are much bigger! Even bigger if you go for a Truggy LOL. BTW, how's the online racing going? Backburner for outdoor now? ;o) Thanks for sharing Paul Fhuz oot.
Yerrhh I just did it to the book ATM, a few pals at the club run these so will certainly pick up some tips. My next purchase Hmm. I have a Associated RC10B6.4 Team Kit in my Modelsport basket as we speak. I feel it would be fun trying different buggies on different weekends. I even added a TLR to my wish list. Have a bit of a soft spot for Losi's after my Losi XX. Look forward to you getting out soon Fhuz. Hope the RC gods smile on you after you short break. What is the Kamloops track like?
Does look an easyer car to set up 👍 i called the colour aswell woohoo. Gutted you didnt make it today, was looking forward to seeing it take its 1st steps 👍
Yerhh I was all booked in for Southlakes, but two late nights building this thing I overslept LOL Hopefully be out at Bury or Southport, depending who runs 4wd.
@@FullOnRC i’ll be trying to get to southport again need to give the cougar mid a propper run out 😁 i ended swapping to my vintage car and chopped down my laptimes, grip was very low 😂
Well spotted. I could swear that's the way the book said. Just zoomed in on product image on Modelsport and you are in fact correct. Sorted now thanks Chris.
Yep. The B6.4 has them go that way on the 2wd, but the 4wd has them the other way. It's to stop the wider wheels from rubbing them I think. My bud at the track does them both the way like it goes on the 4wd, and had a brief argument with me that it's the way it said in the manual ... till I showed him the manual for the 2wd to quieten him up. He still does them both the same way though because it works for him. Whatever works I guess. Good catch, I was looking out for it while I was watching the vid and noticed it at 10:28.
Getting next monday! Yay!
AWESOME!!!

@@lo2713 Look forward to chatting again mate.
Totally agree with the L1R being complicated and poor to work on ! After 2 meetings with mine I'm not a massive fan !
I had such high hopes too. Hopefully this will be a bit more fun.
Cars take work, people just jump ship without putting time into them, most of the AE Team don’t really run this car either
@@JamesBurgess-yn1ep Ohh yerhh how come? I just like to try different brands.
@@FullOnRC there pulling parts from other cars to make it better suit our surface how come you rarely see pictures of the B74 without bodyshells

Sorry Jaymie, it was an impulse buy LOL
@@FullOnRC very disappointed 😂😂
LOL well dam man, I am not a mind reader. If I had known you would be disappointed I wouldn't have bought the thing 😀
