Cheers I am very impressed by it. Looking forward to taming the beast and getting better the more I race. Fingers crossed. Cheers for tuning in Stuart.
Rough first lap in that main. At that point it's time to just roll up your sleeves and run consistent laps. Still, you did good, almost made it across for that 13 lapper ... I was cheering for you to get a 14 lapper as you almost got that in the 4th heat. Too many fobbles knock off time. 90% of racing at this level is just staying on all 4 wheels and landing with all 4 wheels planted off jumps. That and trying not to go too deep in corners like that one over the table top. You're definitely getting better though ... just the pressure getting to you after that first lap crash you need to work on to keep your patience and let your lap times reel them in! Just when it looked like you were catching the car in front of you a tumble would take the hard worked time away. Looked like you were having a lot of fun that day though! Nice finish all things considered. Over here we have bump ups for the top 2 spots typically (sometimes just the top spot bumps). My local buddy told me of a race he went to State side (Diehard RC) a few weeks ago and was proud he placed high in the B main. Was excited he had a chance to get in the top 2 spots. Then someone pointed out there was a racer in the B main that hadn't run any heats that day and was almost a Pro driver. The race director thought to give them all at least a sporting chance and started him on the other side of the starting wire so he'd start essentially a lap down. After just a few laps he was leading the race LOL. So much for my buddy getting that 2nd place bump he thought he had a chance at. He had a proud moment though when he kept up to him for a lap after he was passed by him for the 2nd or 3rd time LOL. Thanks for sharing Paul! Fhuz oot.
Yerhh still over driving it atm but I know that will chill out in time. Hopefully quicker than it did with the 2wd, but I have come a long way since then. The thing is with this thing. The 6.5 is super pocky, Blipping the 2wd just before the tabletop, and blipping the 4wd takes a lot of getting used to. People suggest I just run the one class, but I have an awesome day running two classes. I like how you guys have the bump up system. The couple of times we ran the same style here I loved it. It is a lot of fun following a quicker car. You really learn a lot. Do you have any pics of your new on-road cars. I would love to see some pics. FB message me some if you can?
I love it. I am overdriving it a little atm but I know that will smooth out overtime. Main thing is I just love driving it so it always fun when I pull the trigger.
The associated looks stunning 😎👌🏼
