In my humble opinion it doesn't matter what AC game you play, if you know the parkour system well enough you can pull off some really cool moves. Even Odyssey and Valhalla have some parkourable areas.

A year ago this got so much hate. I would argue against so many people on why the parkour to mirage is the closest thing we would get to realistic parkour and now everyone is sucking it off.
My opinion on Mirage's parkour always was somewhat positive though. At first I thought it was just fine and that it served its purpose pretty well, but after the ejects update it turned from fine to almost good. It still doesn't have the depth of pre-Unity games, but at least it's something. Still, I'm not going to pretend that this game's parkour is the best one out there.

I mean Basim is quite nimble and lightfooted, although there's still some junk that needs to be cleared out. I'd love Naoe to be the same, but from what I've seen I'm growing slightly concerned. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Parkour in Mirage does have its charm. I also like how you can actually perform side ejects at will, if only the layout allows you to do that. Also Revelations is pretty fucking good, mad respect man.
Yasuke will be able to vault over smaller obstacles from what I've heard, but he won't be able to climb, unless he finds a ladder. Also sorry for the late reply, I got flooded by fuck ton of notifications 😅

Also, since we can't really rely on most big content creators these days, I decided to pre-order the Gold edition of the game. I know, no pre-orders yadda yadda, but as I already said many game reviewers and content creators are either blindly glazing or absolutely hating on the latest releases, so I'd rather play the game myself. That and my Internet connection is utter shit most of the time, so I really had no other choice, plus I want to be able to start recording Shadows content on day one, so pre-ordering the game was my only real option.

Don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars (mainly Legends though), but games like Fallen Order, Survivor, Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast are way more up to my taste. Basically I adore lightsaber combat and being able to use wide variety of Force abilities, which is what these games allow me to do. Better yet, Jedi Academy and Outcast allow you to use guns alongside everyone's beloved laser swords. Then again, this is only my opinion, and I may give Outlaws a chance at some point, but for now I don't really feel like getting it.
I'm sure modders will find a way. On a serious note though, he won't be able to parkour around from what I've heard. Ubisoft Quebec wanted Yasuke and Naoe to be as different as possible, which is commendable.

No, please no. Those leaps when climbing up anything are so stupid, and he jumps like he’s in the matrix. Ubisoft is amazing with animations, so I feel like if they tried, they could at least pull off realistic and smooth climbing, like in the older AC games but with Breakpoint-level animations.
@@SirJacobFrye68 The leaps can be seen whenever he climbs anything. He pushes himself upwards like a jumping spider instead of climbing normally. I know it makes parkour faster, but Ubisoft makes it look unrealistic and dumb.
@@CulebraBreakpoint I absolutely get it, after 2 or 3 Dynos (that's what we call these upward jumps in parkour) Basim's arms would be severely weakened. They consume quite a lot of energy and require fuck ton of muscular strength. Anyway, it's not like Basim makes these quick leaps automaticaly, you actually have a certain level of control in this regard. If you hold your climbing button he'll start doing all these tricks in order to climb up faster, usually though he takes his time.
Mirages parkour sucks. While it’s cool that we got some of the classic controls back they don’t function the exact same way and the animations are just terrible. It’s just origins parkour that’s been given a few new animations everything else is the same.
While I disagree with you in that matter, at least you gave some arguments to back up your statement, which is way more than I can say about some other people in the comments who just shit on the game without giving any arguments whatsoever.

As for it being a good or bad thing, it's entirely up to debate, however I do think it's a very divisive matter. At the end of the day though Isu lore is a very important part of this franchise's identity, and while I think that games like Odyssey and Valhalla kinda missed the point and some aspects could've been better developed, scrapped or straight up rewritten, at the end of the day these still expanded upon the First Civ stuff.

He is right. For a normal player unity is a nightmare. But even for pros, arno just jumps too much or too little sometimes, it looks like spring.
